  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🦜ONE FOR THE BIRDS🦜

🎶 Another dollar on the wall…Another poet with a pen…Another beach bum with a DOG…Another stranger sailin’ in… All the pirates and the PARROTS sing…🎶…”Pirates & Parrots” – Zac Brown Band 2024 https://tinyurl.com/k8d3shk9

🦜I thought of “Spuds MacKenzie” with that first glance at Buck,
And the  bird in the safari hat looks like he wants to duck…
I’m getting the impression he may be NEARLY floored,
    But it’s not like it’s a TIGER…or a baboon with a sword…
Maybe out in the FOYER is where he hoped Buck’s stay,
But we know what we’re seeing here…”Call of the Wild” at play…

For sure there’s no JALOPY… hope you get the clarity…
    A farce for sure…there’s mocking here…so hence a “PARROTY”…🦜

“Macaw of the Wild”…brilliant! I had to FARCE myself to stop laughing…

So…Today…The Rainforest…Where we meet a pandemonium of MACAWS, https://tinyurl.com/5n6m925f  notably, John Thornton, https://tinyurl.com/5n67yc78  his COMPANION, Buck. …and a second PLAYer…And it’s been way too many years since I’ve read the book, and I’m way too tired to DOGgedly go looking for who he might be. But I’m sure by now, you’ve picked up on the extremely witty reference to Jack London’s “Call of the Wild”… https://tinyurl.com/mwkp7y3y  and the PARODY that this play is. Too funny…I guess it’s true that TOUCAN play this game…and both David and Jeff have played it brilliantly today. Yes, we’ve seen it before, back on April 08th, 2015, but it’s definitely worth a second BOOK…I mean look… These MACAWS (= PARROTS) put on a “PARROTY” https://tinyurl.com/r49x3zrf  of London’s novel…and it makes for an excellent READ…Definitely KEGS it up a notch! …And as for those tell-Tale quotation marks? There SHOULDER be no SQUAWKING here today…They made this one an easy, breezy FLY away… And that’s no SNOW job…

Jeff’s💎Gems? The backdrop, the snowboards…and the title of the play, of course. But you know what’s another extremely witty take? A group of Macaws can be called a flock, a pandemonium, or a COMPANY. And “Jack” saying that he “never had a better COMPANION?…Hats off again! Major Kudos! 👏🏻👏🏻!

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who was employed as a substitute Geometry teacher for a while. The instructor whose room it was, kept a caged PARROT in the class, as a pet. One day, in an attempt to clean the cage, my friend left its door open a little too long…and you guessed it…POLYGON…And when the instructor returned? Definitely not PARROTdise…TALK about a FOWL mood…In fact, his FEATHERS were so ruffled, he gave my friend the BIRD, and made sure he was never called back to substitute again..Suffice to say my friend became the MOCKINGBIRD of the entire school…🦜🙋🏻‍♀️

    …And a special Shout 🗣️Out to David….All new anagrams today…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  2.  …AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of April 08th, 2015. “When the macaws put on a play, it was a”…”PARROTY”…🦜🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️For some reason, he stood out in the FOYER until the PARODY about the JALOPY dubbed TIGER was NEARLY over…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤞🏻The FOYER needed painting, he’d chosen TIGER Balm,
She didn’t like the color…but tried hard to stay calm…
Thinking ‘bout his JALOPY, which he painted last year,
She hopes it turns out better…doesn’t show the wear and tear
She NEARLY called a handyman…she’d hate their property…
    To look poorly….her fingers crossed…it’s not a PARODY…🤞🏻

  5. I was thirsty until I studied the cartoon more and those tell-tale quotation marks and all the birds except for the dog left me with PARROTY ! I about yelled out but kept it quiet ! I was so pleased to get it ! And two anagrams had me struggle a little but they came NEARLY out of a JALOPY ! This one was so fun to get ! And your song was so good Angela ! And your play on words of your friends bird was good one ! This has been a great jumble week and I hope to bring it into the weekend ! Quence your thirst yo tost to todays jumble !!!!!!

  6. Today’s Jumble flew over my head, and although I saw the reference to Call of the Wild….didn’t relate to the PARODY of it all. Yes, pretty brilliant and I appreciate Angela’s deft explanation of it. I did manage unscrambling all the words and put together the solution. Just missed the connections. Enjoy your Thirsty Thursday, Angela. Terry

  7. Good morning. Got the words and the cartoon answer after putting down the letters but I fail to see the humor in the answer.

  8. Good morning again. I went back to vote and then when I wanted to continue writing I was unable to do so so I had to sign out. I just wanted to say that Oh well a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. It’s a as lame as I think the answer is. Enjoyed your post though Angela. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Thank you…I’m glad you enjoyed it…Ok…two things. First…I’m surprised you’d find today’s solve lame. The Macaws are PARROTS. They’re putting on a PARODY of “Call of the Wild”. There’s quotation marks…Hence the pun is…”PARROTY”., instead. Give it a second thought…it’s really brilliant. Secondly…the quirky, annoying things that happen with Word Press. You’re not alone…It gives me grief every day. But I’ll make you laugh. Today I get a message from them congratulating me on reaching a 100 day streak of posting here. 100 days! Thing is, by my quick calculation, today marks Day 1343 in a row that I’ve posted. Does it bug me? A little…but I doubt I can correct it at this point…So I feel your frustration…🤷🏻‍♀️ Take care, and stay cool. 🦜🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Apart from a pause on the Parroty solution,it was a successful Juneteenth jumble day. Chuck.

  10. 💐So the birds figured time for a play,
And it would be a welcomed soirée…
    Turn the Rainforest on,
    To the days of bygone…
And they chose Jack London to display…🎭

👍🏻Yes, “The Call of the Wild” their pick,
And they figured that it’d do the trick…
    But their humor held sway,
And they thought, “What the hey…
    Let’s make it a play pretty slick”…👍🏻

🎭 So they went with the humor instead,
Although “Wild” had its share of dread…
    And a farce it became,
And lived up to the name…
    Since the audience obviously well-read…🎭

🐶They brought Buck out…trusty old friend,
Who as loyal…there was no pretend….
    And the Macaws?…No squawk,
Not a bird heard to balk…
…As they enjoyed what London had penned…🐶

🦜Bottom line, even Parrots have wit,
    And the audience…happy to sit…
    And watch the play unfold,
    Maybe box-office gold…
    …With their fanciful Rainforest skit?…🦜
