    ✖️It’s def well-known that Groucho’s wit ran high-brow and the low…
    (And there’s no way I’m working in the odd word here…OXBOW)…
    He’d MANAGE ad-libs in a snap, ‘twas no one to EQUATE,
    His humor sometimes biting…but those punchlines always great…
    He played the TIGER or the lamb…all performed with such sparks…
    And rest assured his comments? Oft times in QUOTATION “MARX”! ✖️

    Once again, we’ve a puzzle that SPEAKS for itself…literally…
    Groucho’s statement in our question…same said statement on the poster on the wall…It’s in QUOTATION MARKS…And our second answer word in QUOTATION MARKS?…It couldn’t be any simpler…and I don’t know how else to SAY it…Our solve? …QUOTATION “MARX”!

    • Wrestling over the first word, with the obvious QU to mate with the other obvious MARX…thought it might be QUESTION of some form. Anyway, a good puzzle morning with an excellent post from Angela. terry

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The assignment was to write a paper on the OXBOW of the TIGER river…and so far he couldn’t MANAGE to come up with anything that would EQUATE to a passing grade…the word passing being in QUOTATION MARKS! 🤷🏻‍♂️

    🐂 Engraved upon the OXBOW, a TIGER could be seen,
    What it meant to EQUATE to? The farmers, they’re all green…
    No one can MANAGE to come up with answers…not a spark…
    And looking closely there’s a message in QUOTATION MARKS! 🐂

  4. TGIF ! What an excellent way to end the work week with a completely solved puzzle and anagrams ! All the anagrams were there ! The jumble with Groucho’s name , but not his last name , with an X in the letters , brought out MARX ! Then with a Q and a U , you have to try a QU word and QUOTATION MARX was there nice Friday jumble ! And I read his quote , which was in Quotation Marks ! Very nice ! Everyone have a great Friday !!!!!

  5. Good morning. At first glance nothing jumped out at me so I put the paper aside until I had coffee and some cereal. When I went back to it, the words became visible. After awhile the cartoon answer was the same as I realized having the q and u in the jumbled letters. Thanks Angela for the cute video number and with Groucho‘s daughter. Didn’t know he had a daughter that could sing. Until tomorrow take care.

  7. Paused on oxbow and didn’t notice the quotation marks in the cartoon picture, but even with the multitude of letters, came up with the jumble solution. Wishing everyone a good day. Chuck.

  8. I just remembered that the one quip I always say from Mr Marx , and you can look it up , cause it’s one of his classics , is “ I shot an elephant in my pajamas ! How he got in there I don’t know , we tried pulling the tusks out , but they were embedded so deep that we couldn’t , of course in Alabama , the Tuscaloosa !! Love it !

  9. MANAGE took some effort today. The answer looked impossible, but I found QUOTATION fairly quickly, which led to MARX. Fun answer.

    By coincidence , Duck Soup is on TCM tonight. It’s been decades since I’ve seen any of their stuff.

    • Same here, Dennis…but watching the clip it all seems to come back. So many oft repeated lines are attributed to him. And his innuendo? Unmatched! ✖️🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Cute puzzle this morning. “Oxbow” – now that’s an unusual word which obviously was needed to arrive at Marx. I remember the little Duck that would appear if a contestant said the “secret word”. Happy Friday all! Betty
