  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🏃🏻‍♂️FINISHING…BUT THE AGONY OF DE FEET…🏃🏻‍♂️

    🎶 TWENTY-SIX MILES, so near, yet far….🎶 “26 Miles” – The Four Preps 1956 https://tinyurl.com/39hd3tdx

🏃🏻‍♂️They’re feeling somewhat WOOZY, eyes GLASSY just a bit,
    Like paint that’s on a CANVAS…when it dries it shows it’s grit…
They’ve run the race, the whole way through…they SCOUT now for some rest,
‘Twas grueling sure, to say the least…and they gave it their best
So happy to be done with it…grateful nothing went wrong…
    Now after mile 26? It’s time…TO SAY SO LONG!…🏃🏻‍♂️

Hmm…A little calendar blip, perhaps?…Since the Boston Marathon https://tinyurl.com/yeyvterf was on the 21st, and the London Marathon, https://tinyurl.com/4cv7b4ys  the 27th, this seems to be RUNNING a tad late, no?

Anyway…Today…Somewhere…And while the skyline may be a hint, and looks slightly familiar, I can’t PACE it…I mean place it. But we’re at the end of a Marathon…https://tinyurl.com/4vwsj44j A 26-Mile LONG race of determination, strength, perseverance and grit. And we meet two runners, Spencer RACY, and Henry YONDER, sweat dripping from their brows, bearing their medals, having just completed the grueling run. And their dialogue is telling us that they’re beat…it’s been SO LONG of an race, and that FINISH line finished them “for now”…The “talk later” and “See ya”? …Just different ways…TO SAY SO LONGhttps://tinyurl.com/ybb3ut36 … And as FAR as our solve goes today? We’ve easily FINISHED this one…No RUN for our money here…

Jeff’s💎Gems? A triumphant female runner just crossing the finish line, another female runner off to the right seen trying to CATCH her breath, and Henry eating a banana…But First Place today goes to the number on Spencer’s jersey…He’s wearing #1954…homage to the year the Jumble STARTed…And the image on his medal, hanging from a strap that reads Marathon, looks like the tall structure in the background…maybe a fountain…but as I said, I can’t be sure. His medal reads what may be two S’s…or an P and a S…and the number 26…What it all means though? I’ve no idea…

So…There you have it, Folks…FINISHED! Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend Ty, who ran in the Beijing Marathon and managed to come in first…but wasn’t given the gold medal…Sad that the Chinese refuse to recognize TY WON…🏃🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️It didn’t take the young SCOUT long TO SAY SO LONG, after his eyes became GLASSY, he felt WOOZY, and ended up fainting…falling down onto the CANVAS..🤦🏻‍♂️

🙇🏻‍♂️ The CANVAS much more heavier than he had thought at first,
It’s making him quite WOOZY…he’ll need to quench his thirst…
The sun glares from the GLASSY doors…beads of sweat now do sprout,
Combine that with the barking of the owner’s old dog SCOUT?
    …All giving him a hard time…and he’s not feeling too strong…
Now all that he is thinking is “Can’t wait TO SAY SO LONG”…🙇🏻‍♂️

  4. 🏃🏻‍♂️While a Marathon can take its toll,
There are many who make it their goal…
    Practicing months on end,
With wills that just won’t bend…
Since they’re into it body and soul…🏃🏻‍♂️

👍🏻Pretty grueling to run for so far,
And for these Folks they do raise the bar…
    So determined to last,
    Over miles and miles past…
    Whatever they considered par…👍🏻

👏🏻👏🏻And today we meet two tired chaps,
Who together had run many laps…
And for them this day brought,
What the both of them sought…
The chance to hear finish line’s claps…👏🏻👏🏻

🤦🏻‍♂️But they’re beat now, and both seek some rest,
Having proven they could pass the test…
Yes, they’re proud to be through,
    But with the ballyhoo…
They’ve reached the point where there’s no zest…🤦🏻‍♂️

🏅But it’s hats off though to runners like this,
    Having finished …completed their bliss…
    The resolve did pay off,
There’d be no one to scoff…
They’re now winners with nary a miss! 🏅

  5. Good morning. Fun Jumble today. The anagrams were all there for me and the cartoon solution was not hard. It is marathon season and the one in Pittsburgh is this weekend. Thank you for your post Angela. Have a great day, Stan

    • YW, Stan …and maybe Pittsburg it is…🤷🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

  6. Bit of a hump day Wednesday ! The anagrams were all there for me ! The jumble was so there I but I was thinking too much to not get it ! Then I said oh my ! It was a fun one ! Your post Angela was very good ! Jeff’s gems was really good and your friend should’ve TyWon on ! I’m getting thirsty for tomorrow Thursday !

  7. Ah…international intrigue this morning as TY WON, but not recognized !! I really loved your song, which harkens me back to the day. Took solving the four words to put it together this morning. Thanks for pulling for TY. Terry

    • LOL! Yes, poor Ty! 😂 Tks, Terry…have a good one 🏃🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Good morning. No getting by me this morning. I was able to finish both parts with relative ease. No blind solve but I’ll take the win. Another slam dunk Angela on the song choice. Until tomorrow take care.

  9. Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. Take care 🏃🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Got the anagrams with no problem, but thought the cartoon solution was ‘go..’ rather than ‘to…, but then after some forethought, the cartoon solution popped into mind. Chuck.

  11. Got the anagrams easy enough, but the solution eluded me the way it did the majority of Jumblers today. Then when I saw the answer, it was a 🤦‍♂️

  12. Race could be London Marathon with Victoria Memorial on the Mall .
