  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🏔️ CRUISIN’ FOR A BRUISIN’ 🏔️

    🎶ROCKY Mountain high…in COLORADO…🎶 …”Rocky Mountain High” – John Denver 1972 https://tinyurl.com/5n838uw3

🏔️So Robert says to KITTY, “It looks like no CIGAR”

And she sees things ain’t GLOSSY…there’ll be time spent in that car

They’re headed west and hopefully they won’t miss their friend, Bart…

    He’s waiting at the TAVERN…but they’ve caught a ROCKY START…🏔️

Let’s face it, Folks…There’s SNOW way they’ll get there in time…

So…Today…We meet Rob and Kitty traveling west, on what may be Route 101, from the Denver ROCKIES to San Francisco. And let’s be honest here, we definitely don’t need a road MAP to figure this one out…With all that snow, and the roads becoming hazardous? Given Denver (= ROCKY) as the START of their trip in our question?…Not to mention the MORE-ROADS, I mean morose dialogue? They’re expecting a ROCKY START https://tinyurl.com/bdfh2yz4  …But us? We’re BOULDER today than usual…and we’ve easily, breezily reached our destination…

Jeff’s💎Gem? That dashboard Hula Girl…She’s just COASTING along…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend whose life lately is an utter failure.  Seems he took a wrong turn on the highway to success and ended up on the road to nowhere…Talk about a deTOURable situation…🏔️🙋🏻‍♀️

    California ❤️

    …And a Shout Out 🗣️to David…All new anagrams today…🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Here’s an interesting thing: My husband did get “cigar” but I got “craig”–how’s that for proving what Jumble showed . . when….last weekend?…about letters can spell two different words

      • CRAIG is a man’s name…not a word. The word CRAG, referring to rock, is used in the English language, whereas craig is the Scottish usage. I’ve had this conversation with David before, and he stands by the word CIGAR. Besides, this isn’t the first time Cigar has been used in a Jumble puzzle…So…close (maybe)…but no CIGAR! 🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. …AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of November 30th, 2017. OYENJ! 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️ https://tinyurl.com/5bn88pth

…And the puzzle of May 25, 2011….”Part of Sylvester Stallone’s long term success can be attributed to his”…”ROCKY” START…
…And the puzzle of June 5th, 2008…”What the farmer experienced when he began building a stone wall”…A “ROCKY” START…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🐈‍⬛ There was a ROCKY START when the TAVERN owner first kept his KITTY on premises…for some reason the GLOSSY paper on every CIGAR he sold spooked her…🐈‍⬛

🐈The KITTY has a GLOSSY coat…CIGAR-colored he thought,
He didn’t need to spend much time…first sight of her…he bought
And when his TAVERN shift is done she def does touch his heart…
She warmly greets him now…Before?…It was a ROCKY START!🐈

  4. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️You start off optimistic and chill,
    Excited to travel…until…
    You’ve hardly gone far,
    And you and your car?
    Are suddenly at a standstill…🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️

❄️ Bad weather and no where to turn,
You can’t help but feel the slow burn…
But you don’t have a choice,
    There’s nothing to rejoice…
So of course now you’re facing concern…❄️

🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️Least you’re not alone dealing with it,
And to one another you admit…
That your time now’ll be spent,
    With what you can’t prevent…
And you’re going to def need true grit…🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

    🙏🏻So precariously you chug along,
Maybe enjoy a few favorite songs…
And just try to stay calm,
    With a sense of aplomb…
And just hope nothing else can go wrong…🙏🏻

👍🏻Here’s to Rob and Kitty…wish you well,
Hoping on the ice you won’t need dwell…
And that you’ll meet your friend,
    And the story will end…
With you comfortably in a hotel! 👍🏻

  6. Wow ! Just a little hump Wednesday with two of the anagrams ! I would’ve smoked a CIGAR if I got that one ! And I would’ve smoked it in the TAVERN ! Just didn’t come to me ! Now the jumble , got me stumped , so I took a break and had to get some things done and then I came back about 3 hours , and suzie was looking at it , so I tried it again and came up with ROCKY START and so did suzie ! Breaks sometime refresh your mind ! Love your song Angela , with John Denver ! He was a great musician ! When I saw the cartoon and the little hula dancer , I knew it would be a Jeff’s Gem ! And your friend should just Park it ! A very nice midweek post Angela ! Let’s bring on thirsty-Thursday !!!!

  7. One phrase I am taking with me today is your “Highway to Success, Road…” I’ll keep that tucked away for a rainy day. Puzzle solve needed anagrams so those went smoothly until a major pause on TAVERN….finally got that and put it all together. Didn’t think of ROCKY as a START to today’s solution, but very clever. Enjoy your Hump Day, Angela and as always, thanks for the post. Terry

  8. The cartoon must have made an interesting STORY TRACK since it began with a ROCKY START.

  9. Just as the Rocky travelers I had a ‘Rocky start’ to today’s Jumble with being stumped by the cigar anagram, and then the cartoon as well! Not a happy Wednesday start. Chuck,

    l

  10. Good morning. Didn’t have any problem with the words but it took a little time to come up with the cartoon answer. Even when I came up with Rocky Start I thought I was wrong. I finally settled for it and to my surprise I was right. Enjoyed your post Angela and especially your song choice. Until tomorrow take care.

  11. Battled through the puzzle solve but I made the trip to success. All of the anagrams jumped out at me like a KITTY that backed into a lit CIGAR on a GLOSSY TAVERN floor. Mountain roads can be so treacherous, I hope Rob and Kitty have emergency kit with blankets, warm clothing, road flares etc. I like to make sure to pack some nutrition bars and bottled water. I just turned into my dad before your very eyes!

  12. For CIGAR, I originally had craig. When I saw the circled letters it read CIG, and I realized my error. For the answer, I first saw story track, then sorry tarry, but they didn’t make sense. I then found START, leaving ROCKY. Whew.

  13. I have been solving the Daily Jumble every morning over my cup of coffee for many years. I don’t like these changes you are making. I find it very unsatisfying.

  14. I started with ‘craig’. But glossed over any names. If they stopped at taverns, I thought the whole kit and kaboodle would slide off a cliff. Then I peaked at ‘rocky start’. but thought that was a smoky finish… All the clues should be driving the solution.
