  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…

🔠 It PURELY was an accident, he might be in a MAIZE,
Oh wait, let’s strike that INPUT…what I meant to say is haze,
(…And there’s no place for DUPLEX, although the puzzle deals,
With something that’s a double…)…and has caused David to feel…
…Upset because his puzzle now can hardly go sublimely…
His chosen word, Minutely? Can also be UNTIMELY!…🔠

So…Today’s puzzle…I EDIT done in no time. Actually, it solved itself. With our question giving us: TOO LATE = UNTIMELY, and both it and David telling us that the word Minutely can unscramble into another word…= UNTIMELY, and Jeff asking if it could be changed “BEFORE it prints” = UNTIMELY…all one had to do, even if you didn’t catch the references, was rearrange the letters…It was, once again…UNTIMELY… https://tinyurl.com/hxh6k5b4

Jeff’s💎Gems? His Poi T-Shirt, David’s “I ❤️Jumble” coffee mug, and their two trusty sidekicks, David’s Daisy Dog, and his Gizmo. And Jeff, shoeless, has a hole in the toe of his sock…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and prayers for California…there are no words…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    • I have always wondered when a scrambled word might have two or more answers. But the guys are very clever is so many ways. Today’s puzzle was brilliant!

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️It may have been PURELY selfish reasoning, but he found it a little too UNTIMELY when his wife finally decided to give her INPUT…saying that she’d choose the color MAIZE for the walls in their DUPLEX…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♀️The sky took on a shade of MAIZE, the DUPLEX turning dark,
She stood beside the window thinking… nix walking the park…
It wasn’t PURELY her idea to go, but acting kindly…
She said she’d give some INPUT…but now it’s looking UNTIMELY…🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Very clever way to end the week of perfect jumble solves ! All the anagrams were there ! I had a little bit of thinking on PURELY and DUPLEX , but I got spoiled and got them ! Angela thanks for putting out a prayer for those suffering in California ! Our daughter and grandkids are ok , but we’re on top of it ! Ok let’s get ready for a weekend Saturday jumble !!!!

  5. Just read your comment (from yesterday) about solving the Jumble, by doing it the way the Jumble masters intended….Solve anagrams, then solve puzzle. But that brings us back to those figuring out answer before figuring out anagrams….hence, the blind solve (that I’m imagining many jumblers try to do). But I get it, Angela….I just wanna grow up and solve like you !! Anyway, thanks for the note. And I did just that today. I’ll add my prayers to Californians, too. Terry

    • All roads lead to Rome, Terry…so as long as you enjoy doing the puzzle it doesn’t matter how you solve. But you can’t knock yourself if you’re unable to get it without the words. That’s no fun …And yes, prayers 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Very true Angela that David gave us the clue right from the start that the letters in Minutely can spell another word. I stopped myself and went to the anagrams first and then I finished the solution. Thanks, Stan

  7. Good morning. Easy one today from the words to the cartoon answer. Enjoyed the double word meaning for the answer. My prayers 🙏 for the fire victims in California. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. Easy solve today because of the minutely clue.

I live a little north of LA. I haven’t seen smoke, but our electricity was turned off for 50 hours to reduce the chance of wildfires. It seems to have worked, but that’s a long time without power. The power came on early this morning and I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I solved a couple of Jumbles already today.

    • A couple, Dennis? Do you have a book? Keep safe…Prayers 🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Yes, I spent a lot of time reading books when the electricity was off. Now I am catching up on puzzles and email, etc.

        • Thank God for books, right? Prayers you remain safe, Dennis. Take care. 🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Jeff and David have found their true passion

With the letters and words that they fashion

    But double-check they must

Or the game would go bust

If the letters, unscrambled are clashin’!

    Helen

  10. This puzzle was very good. The technique of giving the other word that could have been used for the jumble.

  11. Untimely indeed. The light snowfall dimmed my thought processes. On another note, congratulations on the ND win over Penn State last night, and go OSU over Tx tonight! Chuck.

  12. Oh no! I thought I had nailed a double blind solve (look only at the number of letters/words in the puzzle answer, not the cartoon).

When I checked the cartoon, I knew my answer was wrong when I saw “minutely” in the cartoon (answer is never in the cartoon).

Once I read the whole cartoon, it made sense and I revised my answer to “untimely.”

    Well, I had a 50/50 chance ;-}

  13. Some time ago, I wondered what would happen if there was more than one solution to a clue. The answer was HER best and I started off with THE as the three letter word and couldn’t figure why I couldn’t get the four letter result until I figured I had the wrong three letter result.
