It’s taco-Tuesday and I’m getting some tacos to celebrate a nice jumble with the anagrams being right there and the jumble with the baby eagle ready to fly away from the home nest and SPREAD HIS WINGS ! And a great song by John Denver to cap it off , Angela ! This week has been very fun and smooth in solving ! So I’m gonna make this a little shorter and hope everyone has a good taco-Tuesday and let’s bring on a no-hump Wednesday !

At first glance, saw a possible XXXXXX HER WINGS, and by golly, didn’t see that first word until starting in on anagrams. Yep, it should have been just a little bit easier. Thanks for posting fun joke and great song. Most importantly, hope your health goes well. More cold weather today…yikes. Terry

YW, Terry, Glad you enjoyed it all. Note that it’s always important to study the cartoon. The young eagle couldn’t be a “her” because there’s no eyelashes visible. Jeff always gives lashes to his female characters whether animate or inanimate. And thank you…I’m still under the weather. As far as the weather? …Yikes, indeed! 🥶🦅🙋🏻♀️

Solved all the anagrams, then saw “spread” and “wings” and just knew the middle word was a non-gender “its.” Then on second glance saw there was no “t” available and realized it had to be “his” as the middle word. A great puzzle as usual. Can’t believe your song “Fly Away” is 50 years ago. I’m aging too quickly!! Alan in GA

Flew the anagrams (pun intended) and immediately landed on the puzzle solve. I loved to see the word ABIDE a day after the Dude and his pals appeared in the bowling scenario. Cold here in the hinterlands and time to get to work.

Cartoon stumped me even though I had the letters from the anagrams,Yuck,as in Chuck.

Yes, it’s the age-old rite
Whether they’re ready or maybe not quite
The nest they must leave
Their own path to weave
Much to their parents’ delight!
That’s not always the way it is now however. So many parents think their offspring have left for good, only to have them return several years later, education complete, to live at home again, with the cost of renting a place of their own beyond their means!
