    🏍 You try to figure out just why these thoughts one does possess,
    Performing reckless feats as this…it’s anybody’s GUESS…
    But Evel saw a MOUND of cars…and thought he’d take a leap,
    O’er a JIGSAW puzzle of pieces…and they’re lined up pretty deep…
    PETITE don’t fit the program here, this was surely big and bold,
    And Evel didn’t disappoint…’twas a sight to behold
    He revved the engine of his bike…as firmly he did sit…
    Said, “Me on the Wide World of Sports”? And he def JUMPED AT IT! 🏍

So instead they filmed the stunt and aired it later…And Evel went on to make seven more appearances on the Wide World of Sports… https://tinyurl.com/2p8j5kcc But it was that feat that JUMP-started it all…And AS FAR as our solve goes? When he was first approached with the idea? He JUMPED AT IT!

    Jeff’s Gems…The cartoon’s background is a great depiction of the ramps Evel used, and we can see a lineup of cars between them. He’s shown atop a Harley…the name is visible, and we can see his name on the helmet he’s holding, plus his initials “EK” on his belt buckle. And if you look real closely, there’s chest hair showing from his open collar. But I’ll tell you what really revved my engine…Jeff’s extremely sports savvy, and I could be wrong, but I think he’s THROWING US A CURVEBALL here…Roone Arledge WENT TO BAT for Evel to be on WWOS, and Jim McKay hosted the show during the time this took place. And yet…the man pictured making THE PITCH to Evel? Someone of the same time frame…I think I’m seeing the best caricature of Geraldo Rivera ever…So I think Jeff’s just trying to see who’s really FIELDING these puzzles…and if we’d PICK UP on it or not…As I said, maybe I’m WAY OUT IN LEFT FIELD…but again..Geraldo never looked so good! Just sayin’…Kudos, Jeff! …(And I just CHANGED UP, and THREW in eight bits of baseball lingo….I mean if we’re gonna talk sports)…

    So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’m often told that I JUMP to conclusions too quickly…but trust me, I don’t have time to listen to any of that…🏍🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️After hearing that volunteers were needed to help organize donations for Hurricane Relief, he JUMPED AT IT…only to find MOUND after mound of a hodgepodge collection of goods to be sorted…and like assembling a JIGSAW puzzle, he just took a GUESS and started with PETITE clothing…🤷🏻‍♂️

    💪🏻 With a MOUND of wood all piled up, she just rolled up her sleeves,
    She saw a JIGSAW lying there, atop a pile of leaves…
    Whoever thought that it would work in a job of this sort,
    Was off the mark and here today her work it’d only thwart…
    She was PETITE, but fairly strong, and if she had a GUESS,
    She probably could help organize this large disheveled mess
    If not she’d get some help…but for now she’d def show her grit…
    Took a deep breath, put on her gloves…and then just JUMPED AT IT! 💪🏻

    With the risk taking stunts that were shown….
    It seemed crazy to most,
    But Evel? He played host..
    As over the cars he had flown…🏍

    🤞🏻He appealed to the crowds way back then,
    And they’d gather for every time when…
    He’d make one of his leaps,
    And they prayed that he’d sweep…
    The cars when he did it again…🤞🏻

    🤷🏻‍♂️Guess that danger was his middle name,
    And he played it to garner his fame…
    The man definitely had guts,
    Were no ifs ands or buts…
    To him it was all part of his game…🤷🏻‍♂️

    📺 When the WWOS came to call,
    Evel thought that he’d now heard it all…
    He would be on TV,
    And then millions would see…
    What it was that made Evel stand tall! 📺

    🤷🏻‍♂️He lived life on the edge of his seat,
    And the injuries sometimes he’d meet…
    And in ‘75,
    Glad to still be alive…
    Evel finally admitted defeat…🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. It’s Wednesday hump-day and I definitely got over the hump of the jumble ! The anagrams were ok , I just couldn’t get my mind to do a JIGSAW puzzle ! I also felt very PETITE to get that one too ! But I GUESS I was on the MOUND to pitch those two cause they were good ! Now the jumble gave me memories of Evel Knievel and it put a smile on my face cause I used to watch him all the time, so I JUMPED AT IT ! It came right to me ! Another fine and fun one to add to the week ! Keep ‘em coming ! Everyone have a great Wednesday hump-day !!!!

  6. Easy puzzle today….but no cigar for me. I looked at the cartoon wording and glommed onto “IT UP” for the last two words, so definitely went down the wrong worm hole. After that, speedily unscrambled anagrams and fit it all together. Excellent musings about Geraldo, et.al., Angela. Such a great song choice today….that Pointer Sister’s song really has a great beat and melody…so infectious to listen to !!!! Makes you wanna JUMP !!! over to the breakfast table.

  8. Good morning. I didn’t get a good jump start on todays jumble, for some reason the words were hard for me. They were pretty easy to. Now once I looked at the cartoon answer it was an automatic blind solve. Thanks Angela for the terrific Pointer Sisters video. It was enjoyable. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    Though his name was suggestive of bad
    Specializing in jumps
    He flew over the humps
    What a grip on the world he had!

    He mesmerized them all
    Though they were sure he was going to fall
    As he revved up his bike
    How high would he spike….?
    Yes, it seemed he was having a ball!

  10. Almost a blind solve today. I guessed JUMPED on IT. After solving the words, I saw my mistake.

    I hope Hurricane Ian isn’t too destructive. 🌀

  11. After a slight pause on petite , a virtual blind solve of the cartoon was a quick solve.I do recall watching the crazy motorcycle stunts by Evil Knieval.

  12. If you ever wanted to know how to pronounce my last name, you pronounce the “K” just like in Knievel! There you go! I loved Evel! Had all the toys and watched all the jumps!

  13. Another pause here at petite which I think was jumbled really well. I kept seeing two “p”s instead of two “t”s so that slowed me up a bit but was able to figure it all out after all. Happy Wednesday all!

  14. Good morning Jumblers ! Great day for the jumble ! Words I got except for, Petite gave me a little problem and the jumble itself was chacing me around to be solved – it finally caught me ! I can’t wait for tomorrow’s puzzle, so until tomorrow everyone have a sunny day ! 🌞
