  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…

🕰️…AND WE CLOCKED IN WITH A SIMILAR PUZZLE LAST SUNDAY!🕰️

🎶…One more TIME…FOR THE GOOD TIMES…🎶 “For The Good Times” – Ray Price 1970 https://tinyurl.com/ms9c4na2

🕰️ Back then there were no ONLINE sites for Grandpa to find parts,

He didn’t SQUAWK about things though, he just worked very smart…

He’d CHOOSE his pieces carefully, kept ACTIVE with the times,

(And there’s no pun intended here…it just makes a good rhyme)…

To his Grandkids a SHROUD of sorts…surprised that he could make,

    A clock like this…He feels FAMOUS…and all FOR OLD TIME’S SAKE…🕰️

Hmm…It’s déjà vu all over again…as the late, great, Yogi would say. We were just here last week…A Sunday, and a puzzle about old clocks… https://tinyurl.com/ye22bkys …Is David SETTING some sort of pattern?…Did he TIME it this way?…Or on SECOND thought is there no ERAs to his ways…and it’s just a coincidence?…

So…Today…We see a proud Grandfather, a retired clockmaker, showing his grandkids the fruits of his labor….The first = OLD clock =TIME he ever made. And it still works…it still chimes, because he’s meticulously kept it RUNNING…FOR OLD TIME’S SAKE… https://tinyurl.com/sf8vakwd  …HAND we end HOUR week having HOURselves another easy, breezy solve within a MINUTE’s TIME…

Jeff’s💎Gem? You gotta love that “arrow” comment again…so right to the POINT…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And since we’re walking down memory lane, I think I’ll tell you about my friend for a SECOND TIME…The one who was TICKed off to recently have been let go from his job at a CLOCK making factory…To hear him tell it…”After all those extra HOURS I’d put in too…what a waste of TIME”…Suffice to say, it TOCK a toll on him…you could see it in his FACE…🕰️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 👍🏻Where once they’d SQUAWK about being so ACTIVE ONLINE, FOR OLD TIME’S SAKE they decided to CHOOSE to abolish the so-called SHROUD of mystery and instead become FAMOUS for their new-found tolerance…👍🏻

🍪Those FAMOUS Amos cookies…he’d CHOOSE them every time,
No SHROUD of secrecy involved…for years he’d shop ONLINE…
No SQUAWK was heard from his wife, since no matter what the price,
So ACTIVE was his shopping sprees…right now it’s each week…twice
Both he and his wife tried so hard to see if they could bake…
    A cookie that came even close….you know…FOR OLD TIME’S SAKE…🍪

  4. Nice Sunday jumble to start off a new week ! All the anagrams came to me , but I missed one that was ONLINE ! But the jumble had me thinking with three words , but once I saw OLD , I tried TIME and it came to me ! Nice way to enter a new jumble week ! Never heard the Ray Price song , but he’s got a good voice ! And your your friend did not at all seem Alarmed ! Nice post Angela and bring on Monday !!!!

    • Jim, this is not meant to be mean or an insult. Just an observation my friend. Why do you say Sunday begins a new week, when it’s actually the weekend (week end)? It always has me curious.

      Thank you,

      Shirley

      • yes it is the weekend , however , since we have jumbles seven days a week , Sunday starts it off and Saturday ends it ! It just depends how it officially is stated per structure of the event ! The Bible says Sundays is the first day of the week , I t might be just how you feel on a personal note !

        • Jim…”officially is stated per structure of the event”? What event? What does that mean? And as far as the Jumble goes, Sunday doesn’t “start it off”…as I’ve mentioned before, it’s the week’s LAST puzzle. Saturday and Sunday are the weekend puzzles, as Shirley stated, and Monday starts a week of new ones. The Bible aside, as far as things go with these puzzles, tomorrow begins a new week. 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    • If by they you’re referring to David, that’s not the case. He’s submitted the puzzle with the apostrophe in place, but every once in a while, for reasons he doesn’t understand, the apostrophe is left out of the circled letters.in some publications. Without it, the single circle is then taken as the letter “A”, and of course the solve becomes impossible. Unfortunately, stating it here does no good, since we’ve nothing to do with any print and/or online version of the puzzle. I suggest you direct the issue to the publisher of the puzzle you’re using. 🕰️🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. 🤷🏻‍♂️While before it was all about hands,
    Today’s kids just don’t know the demands…
    Of quarter past this…
    They’d be so remiss…
    If made today to understand…🤷🏻‍♂️

🕰️ In the digital age they were born,
Teaching analog? We end up forlorn…
    Half past just doesn’t gel,
    Ten to? Cause to quell!
But for Grandpa it was simply norm!  🕰️

➕➖They’re so programmed to just let things be,
That with Grandpa’s clock it’s hard to see…
That the way to tell  time,
Was by hands and by chimes…
    Using math to a degree…➖➕

⬆️ So those “arrows” as our girl does say,
Back then were needed as the display….
    To read from a clock,
    While hearing tick tock…
And for Grandpa ‘twas the only way…⬇️

🕰️…Before read-outs would give us the time,
With precision to stop on a dime…
    Were we better off then?
    With those arrows back when?
Who knows…but for Grandpa ‘twas sublime …🕰️

    …With a bit of recycling…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    • After being stumped by today’s big person’s Jumble, this kid at heart could solve the Kid’s Jumble, As is a Sunday tradition, Angela, thanks for posting the kids Jumble. Chuck.

      • YW, Professor. The kids got a chuckle out of today’s solve. Must be the pig! 😂🐷🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. I missed out on today’s puzzle solution…gave up a little early, especially with missing an anagram (online). Someone wrote that there was a comma missing on TIME’S…..but it was really an apostrophe, and it was there on my online newspaper. I did manage to come up with FOR and TIME, but that’s all. Thanks for your funny stories, Angela. See you manana. Terry

  7. Well, once upon a time

When I was in my prime

    I made the best clocks

    That went tickety-tock

And rang out a regular chime!

  8. A double stump today as I was stumped by the ‘online’ anagram as well as the multi lettered cartoon as I couldn’t come up with the obvious first 3 letter word, old. Chuck.

  9. Good afternoon. This is the third time I’m trying to post and keep getting side tracked. I even had to double check to see if I did post and just forgot. I was able to get all the words and time thinking it was the last word on the cartoon answer. Maybe if I gave it more time I might have solved it. I started in the morning then had to go out, came back and in between cooking went back to it. Angela loved both of your song choices and all the extra goodies you put into today’s jumble. Until tomorrow take care.
