  1. Good Morning, Everyone …I hope this finds you well…
🪙TO COIN A PHRASE…WHAT’S THE WURST THAT CAN HAPPEN? 🪙

    🎶Well, here’s a QUARTER…call someone who cares…🎶…”Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” – Travis Tritt 1991 https://tinyurl.com/kcrz4tc2

🪙 Deciding to UNPLUG a bit, she took her son to see,
A B-Ball game with their home team…the Bucks of Milwaukee…
‘Tween work and school the time was tight to just UPROOT and go,
But luckily it now seemed right with things a little slow…
They sit watching and hope their Bucks will SQUASH the Pacers good,
‘Cause if they don’t they’ll hear a SQUAWK throughout the neighborhood…
They’re cheering for Giannis…they hope that he’ll play SHREWD,
If not most of Milwaukee’s definitely gonna brood
(FEDORA, Folks…can’t fit it in…and time is getting shorter)…
    To publish today’s puzzle…where a game EQUALS FOUR QUARTERS!🪙

A little quirkiness with today’s words, no? 3 S words, 2 of them beginning with SQ, and 2 U words…when we rarely see one. And then Fedora threw its hat into the ring…Definitely an odd group…

…And speaking of groups…Today we’re at Fiserv Forum, located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a group of people at a Basketball game. À Milwaukee BUCKS game to be exact…where we see them in the 1st QUARTER (or period) ahead of the Pacers, 12-11…but about to pull out further with All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo https://tinyurl.com/ycyb7w56 ready to score…And between the word BUCKS, a B-Ball game having 4 QUARTERS…the vendor saying 5 dollars and 50 CENTS, plus the images of the two women, one with a DOLLAR bill in hand, asking for CHANGE = 4 QUARTERS, and the other with a purse full of QUARTERS…the solve to this puzzle was a SLAM DUNK…with no ASSIST needed…The TIP OFF was having so many clues to PLAY with…For the Bucks…a regular game…EQUALS FOUR QUARTERS!

Jeff’s Gems? Brats (Bratwurst) are synonymous with Milwaukee and Bucks games. https://tinyurl.com/42es4abz …So it stands to SEASON that we’d see a vendor selling them. And the 💲he’s SPORTing on his T-shirt speaks volumes…Food sales at any professional game are quite lucrative to say the least…Plus, if you’re a B-Ball fan, you may also be familiar with the “Bratzooka” …but I don’t have the time to FLY off in that DIRECTION… https://tinyurl.com/4bw77mhw What’s definitely worth noting though, is that with Basketball playoffs taking place as we speak, and these puzzles being submitted as far back as at least six weeks ago, kudos may be in order for David choosing to feature them today. The Bucks were the first team in the league to clinch a playoff spot back on March 14th…so chances are he may have already known…either that or his guess was SPOT UP…I mean spot on. Who knows…there may be more than MEATS the eye here…And of course, seeing the Mom wearing a Bucks headband and her son an Antetokounmpo tank, is top notch. Unfortunately, with a back injury, he didn’t play last night…more unfortunate the Bucks fell to the Heat…121 to 99…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And with Antetokounmpo being known as a jokester, I’ll leave you with one of his…”Why did the football coach go to the bank”?…”To get his QUARTERback”…Stick to that day job, Giannis…comedy’s definitely too TALL an order! 🪙🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🚞 Not thrilled with the fact that he’d need to UPROOT his life again, but knowing it wouldn’t pay to put up a SQUAWK, he decided to UNPLUG for the day and play a few games of SQUASH…so donning his FEDORA, he jumped on the bus, where the SHREWD driver had posted a sign reading…”Save us both the time…a dollar EQUALS FOUR QUARTERS”…🚞

🥃The movie’d gotten boring, the FEDORA still unfound,
The sound from the TV now seemed like one big SQUAWK-like sound…
They’d need to UPROOT too much more to make the plot ring true,
But no one yet seemed SHREWD enough to know just what to do…
Deciding to UNPLUG it all and SQUASH it for today,
He thought he’d go have a few drinks at the bar on Broadway
He likes the place, the company…mostly local reporters..
And the B-Ball theme explains the name…it’s dubbed EQUALS FOUR QUARTERS! 🥃

  4. Even with all the SQ’s staring me in the face, I was clueless to solution. Punted early and checked Angela’s post. Looking back….yes, I should have at least seen QUARTERS. But alas, will wait for Monday morning.

  5. Like Terry, I was totally lost on this one. All I was able to do was come up with some words – Equals, Requests, Square. I’ve seen the Brewers play in Milwaukee but not the Bucks.

  6. It’s Sunday Funday ! Boy , this one was pretty much hunting for something ! Yes the words Bucks is a name for a dollar which is 4 quarters , but to compare it the Milwaukee Bucks is comparing it to a male deer ! I’m sure Bango is worth more than a dollar ! The comparison threw me off on this Sunday ! The anagrams were all there , except the one word that we’ve had a few times before and I always stumble on it ! FEDORA ! Well I hope everyone has a good Sunday Funday today !!!!!

  7. Well I was in good company being stumped by fedora and questioning the multiple q u words as well as being stumped by the multi lettered cartoon. I actually have cousins living in Milwaukee but haven’t been there since a family visit as a child in 1956. My grandfather settled in Cleveland after immigrating to the United States in the early 1900’s and his brother settled in Milwaukee.

  8. Good morning. Not wanting to give up it actually took me longer to get Fedora than to solve the cartoon answer. I’m glad I stuck it out for both parts. Enjoyed your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Thank you. And Kudos 👏🏻👏🏻for staying with it! 👍🏻🪙🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Good challenge today. Knew it would be interesting with two Q’s in the mix of letters. Had to resort to paper an pencil to figure it out but I got it. Very clever puzzle. Happy Sunday all!

  10. At first, I had no clue for the answer. I knew there were two QU’s, so I decided to look for letters that were duplicates. From that I found SQURE twice, but it wasn’t right. I then saw QUARTER, and solved it. Good workout this morning.
