🪧He needs to rent a VACANT billboard, if his business is to grow,
No FRENZY with just radio, as his profits do show…
It’s SPRING now, lots of traffic…people out driving around,
And these billboards will be a boon…they’ll surely cover GROUND…
They’ll showcase Tom’s new DRESSY line, and EASILY lend a hand,
A billboard gets the word out…far and wide across the land
The Billboard Company’s savvy…hiring a rep is proving wiser…
Then anything they’ve done before to SIGN UP ADVERTISERS…🪧
Despite the 11-letter word this puzzle still made for an easy, breezy READ…
Billboards ADVERTISE. And that’s what Tom (according to the logo on his shirt) is looking to do. And the salesperson from the company is seen doing the job they hired her to do…SIGN UP new clients. She’s out there to…SIGN UP ADVERTISERS…The witticism here today? A billboard is a SIGN, put UP high so it can get “seen by thousands of potential customers each week”, as our SPOT-on dialogue’s telling us…Yes, Tom…they’re a lot better than those radio spots…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The two billboards reading, ”This BOARD’S For You” …a witty take on Budweiser ads,https://tinyurl.com/4zsxw324 (and maybe even Uncle Sam, https://tinyurl.com/3yjbejp4 with that finger pointing)…But especially the billboard reading, “Happy Anniversary, Kathy”. If I’m not mistaken, Jeff and Kathy are celebrating their 28th today…Congratulations! 🥂🍾
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who had a billboard fall on his head…He took it as a SIGN from above…🪧🙋🏻♀️

First thought was ADVERTISING, but couldn’t think of words to precede that word. Therefore, easily solved anagrams to find ING wasn’t the answer…but still a good puzzle day. Enjoy your day, Angela. I read a book once and it was telling me about Mickey Rooney and how he submitted an ad for BW beer. “Be beer wiser, bud….drink Budweiser Beer”….but the suits didn’t buy it. Terry

I’ve been doing the jumble every morning for a couple of years now. Sunday Jumbles can be difficult. IMHO this was the easiest Sunday, ever! Thanks!

This is a funday Sunday ! I’m in Chicago visiting our son and thought I’d take a look real quick ! The anagrams were good , jumble was not a quick one ! I got the first two , but the ADVERTISING wasn’t selling me anything ! But got a big day so have a great Sunday Funday ! Angela your friend , smiling , and shaking my head !

Good morning. No problem with the words but it took some time to tackle the cartoon answer. Had up even before I put down the letters but was thinking ing for the end of the third word. It took awhile to get it out of my head and try other scenarios. Until tomorrow take care.

Like others, I thought the last word was ‘advertising ‘, but that left ‘ress up’. Ress isn’t a word in English, so I double-checked the letters. I then realized ADVERTISERS would work, and leave SIGN UP.

Cartoon answer stumped me too today. Kept thinking the last word was advertising and just could’t get past it, in spite of the HUGE sign in the cartoon which should have been a giveaway. Hope you’re all having a lovely Labor Day weekend. Betty

Yes, Miss Angela as you always say the clues are in the cartoon photo. However, sometime I just get one thought in my head and can’t see the forest for the trees. 😬

I don’t know what happened but I was trying to reply to Miss Angela’s comment to me. Now both of our posts have disappeared? At any rate, what I mentioned is the fact that Angela always says that the clue is always in the cartoon drawing but I sometimes get one answer stuck in my head and can’t see the forest for the trees. 😬Yikes. Betty…your replies both showed up fine. Word Press does strange things at times…I could tell you stories! 😱 But yes, it’s not just the words that paint the picture…it’s the picture too! Jeff performs magic with David’s thoughts…And between the finger pointing and Tom’s presence, the SIGNS were all there! 😉 Pun intended! But looks like you weren’t alone on this one…that ING seems to have caught everyone’s attention 👀 today…I guess we could call it a TOMultuous situation! Enjoy your day, Miss Betty and wishing you and yours a safe, enjoyable Holiday! 🪧🙋🏻♀️

I don’t know why they did it but my local paper, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, decided not to deliver a paper on holidays, including Labor Day. Instead they published tomorrow’s Jumble in today’s paper. I don’t know if other papers are doing the same thing, but it could lead to someone talking about tomorrow’s solution today, thinking it was today’s Jumble.

I hope not…but they are easily distinguishable…today’s has 6 words..🤷🏻♀️
