THE TOUR GUIDE’S ARRANGEMENT OF WORDS USED TO TALK ABOUT ALCATRAZ PRISON WAS – – –
TTE CNC REE SUR UNT ES = SENTENCE STRUCTURE
Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
🗣️BETWEEN A ROCK AND THE GUARD PLACE 🗣️
🎶 Let’s ROCK…Everybody, let’s ROCK…Everybody in the whole CELL BLOCK was dancin’ to the JAILHOUSE ROCK…🎶 “ Jailhouse Rock” – Elvis Presley 1957 https://tinyurl.com/3dk3y37s
🗣️ICONIC you may often hear, for lack of BETTER word,
Although there’s some who argue that it’s really quite “ABSURD”
The tour guide that we’re seeing, a PUNDIT who explains,
About the prison’s ins and outs….and now it’s old remains…
His manner calm and BREEZY, he’s used to giving tours,
And Jeff is thinking how the heck could one get out those doors…
And while his BETTER half, Kathy, is seen taking a pic,
The guide’s explaining EASILY, ‘bout barbed wire and brick…
He mentions Al Capone who didn’t die there…as it were…
Believed by some..’twas not the end of his SENTENCE STRUCTURE!🗣️
So…Today: ALCATRAZ PRISON…The ROCK …And a tour… https://tinyurl.com/mryz2n94 given by the guide, ROCKy…And I could go on and on about the place, but ISLAND the info right here instead… https://tinyurl.com/2p9k2kfu …And you may choose to read about it or not…in your own DO TIME…
OK…First, I think a Shout Out is in order for 5 out of 6 new anagrams today…not an easy feat! It always amazes me how David can do so much with just a small amount of letters. I think I’d be CELL-shocked if I had to do this every day. I’d constantly be needing to re-CHARGE my BATTERYs…And I have to go on RECORD to say that I think his play on words today is brilliant! He KILLED it! …But it was easy to LOCK DOWN once I realized where he was going with it…
So…Let’s face it, Folks, SENTENCE was a given, what with the prison – the place where a person serves a SENTENCE – being the main feature…plus the very leading description in our question. “Arrangement of words”…= a SENTENCE…But I had to DO a little TIME, albeit a SHORT STRETCH, coming up with the other word…and deciding if it went first or second…And then it hit me like a ton of BRICKS…The dialogue! Jeff referring to the seemingly impenetrable STRUCTURE!…The tour guide’s STINT was SENTENCE STRUCTURE! https://tinyurl.com/rx4avfnd ..And it definitely SERVED as a brilliant ROCK-solid solve! BAR none! …And speaking of dialogue, who never minds being interrupted mid-SENTENCE? A CONVICT…Like the one ROCKy’s speaking of…Al Capone…A notorious CELLebrity…
And the characters SERVING us so well today? Besides ROCKy, there’s a man who I suppose could be another tourist…although he looks way too extremely distinctive…so I have a feeling I’m GUILTY here of missing the BOAT on this one… So If anyone JUDGES who it might be, please DROP A DIME https://tinyurl.com/4waaxn2u ..I mean drop me a line, and let me know. And then, of course, we have Jeff and his BAY, I mean Bae, https://tinyurl.com/5x9auvuy Kathy, visiting San Francisco, California. And Jeff’s sporting one more of his vast number of Wilco Tees… https://tinyurl.com/yc72dcyf …I swear, this guy definitely has a collection of these shirts LOCKED DOWN!
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe… And I’ll leave you with this little bit of prison humor before I BREAK OUT of here…What do you call a clairvoyant midget who’s escaped from prison? …A SMALL, MEDIUM at LARGE…And that’s my last SENTENCE! 🗣️🙋🏻♀️

🤷🏻♂️The daily lesson was SENTENCE STRUCTURE, and with the instructor considering himself a PUNDIT, he thought there would an easy, BREEZY go of it…but while it did start off EASILY enough, instead of getting BETTER as they discussed ICONIC phrases, for some reason it suddenly became ABSURD…🤷🏻♂️
🤦🏻♀️She wished her children would take heed and not sound so ABSURD,
A language PUNDIT all her life, she loved the spoken word…
But they were easy, BREEZY…laid back and too fond of slang,
They took things way too EASILY…to her ears though bells rang…
Resigned she was to knowing that “ICONIC” not a choice,
She wished at least some BETTER words would be part of their voice…
She tried her best to school them…often said to him and her…
“Correct speech is important…and you need SENTENCE STRUCTURE”! 🤦🏻♀️
🔠 Words alone serve a purpose…but when,
Put together in voice or with pen…
Bring a sentence to light,
And if it’s spoken right…
It’s understood right there and then!🔠
👏🏻👏🏻Today’s puzzle solve definitely shows wit,
Gotta love here what David has writ…
The man quite the wordsmith,
To him words are the pith…
And he’s telling us today forthwith…👏🏻👏🏻
🗣️We hear Rocky as he makes his spiel,
‘Bout the prison’s interesting appeal…
And Jeff’s truly engaged,
As he stands center stage…
Thinking how tight the prison was sealed…🗣️
👍🏻As a tourist attraction it’s still,
Pretty popular and fits the bill…
As a sight should be seen,
Alcatraz and it’s mien…
As it offers a certain type thrill…👍🏻
🔠 Bottom line, what we have here today,
Is a puzzle to wittily say…
That a structure of brick,
And a spiel did the trick…
That resulted in sentence word play! 🔠
Wow ! What a None-day Sunday ! This one was probably the hardest one I’ve ever had ! I had trouble with half the anagrams ! They were not EASILY there for me ! Even the PUNDIT a didn’t help ! So I say this is ABSURD ! But the other three were BETTER ! They were the ICONIC of the jumbles that I could get , which made them BREEZY ! Now the jumble with seventeen letters had me rolling my eyes ! I could not see any SENTENCE STRUCTURE ! We’ll I hope the start tomorrow Monday is a new week that will be easy on my brain ! Everyone have a great Sunday Funday !!!!!!!
The answer had me lost me for a while. I noticed repetition in the letters and was able to separate them into two identical piles, with one T left over. But the only relevant word I could come up with was Secure. So I abandoned this idea and spotted Sentence. What a fun video! Hope everyone has a good day.
Amazingly, I was on the right track with SENTENCE, but thought on the lines of CLEVERLY SENTENCED…or something like that. Needed anagrams solved to continue and unscrambled them quickly. Thinking I needed a D for the past tense, I was worried over PUNDIT, but couldn’t come up with any other word. Ergo, must not be SENTENCED, but rather the present tense. That’s when my hands went up in despair, and had to wave the white flag as I emerged from the bunker !! Even Elvis shaking his hips with a cool song didn’t help today. Funny joke, Angela.
Tks, Terry. 🗣️🙋🏻♀️
Way too many letters for me to solve the Sunday cartoon Jumble as is the usual case w my Sunday Jumbles. At least our record level heat wave has subsided. Happy Sunday!
The first four anagrams were a breeze, while PUNDIT and EASILY were solved with only a little effort. All those letters made the final answer seem impossible, but I quickly saw STRUCTURE, and the letters left gave SENTENCE. Overall, not hard.
I traveled for a while, and then got sick, so today is the first day that I am back to ‘normal’. I hope.
Good to have you back, and glad you’re feeling better, Dennis. Stay safe out there..🗣️🙋🏻♀️.
Good morning. Another failure today, unable to get words 4&5. Then with 17 letters for the cartoon answer that too was a bust. Enjoyed your song choice and your closing joke Angela. Until tomorrow take care.
Good Afternoon, Paul. Tk you! 🗣️🙋🏻♀️
Managed to rock the Jumble this morning. No problem with the anagrams but had to resort to paper and pencil to solve this cartoon. The dialogue led me to “sentence” and then saw “structure”. Alcatraz is a very popular tourist destination here. It’s a very cold desolate place. One of my neighbors who is in his nineties was a guard there for many years. He has some interesting tales to tell. Happy Sunday all!
Interesting comment on Alcatraz, we have actually visited there on one of our California trips many years ago.
A sentence conveys a complete thought
It’s concise and usually taut
But to bring a SENTENCE to LIFE
You’ve to trim, like a knife
And cut out some words that you thought…..
…..were à-propos to the main idea
Made your meaning crystal cle-ar
So if to Alcatraz you were sent
Without your consent
Did you really understand “culpa mia?”
Many interruptions this morning so I did not manage to crank out this loonie limerick until now.
Betty, I remember viewing Alcatraz one misty San Francisco morning. It certainly is a gloomy sight/site!
