  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🦴BONE APPETITE!🦴

    🎶Ciao, Ciao, Bambino…Bye, Bye, Baby…🎶 …”Ciao, Ciao, Bambino” – Connie Francis 1959  https://tinyurl.com/38fnsnmh

He’s dining like a TYCOON, the WHOLE menu’s his to take,
No way he’ll DITCH a bit of it…he’s having all they make…
He’ll WALLOW in the calories…there’s morsels thrown around…
Our Chinese dog is hungry…and ready to CHOW CHOW DOWN

    W’s, H’s, O’s…WHO’s not seeing this one…right off the FAT?…

So…Today, a ravenously hungry CHOW CHOW https://tinyurl.com/tjxx7ne2 BARKley, from China…in the midst of CHOWing DOWN…And, TBT, I don’t know what else there is to add. Whether you solve by the cartoon alone, or FEED off the letters…as I live and BREED, it’s just TOO MUCH of an easy, breezy puzzle…BARKley was hungry…and ready to…CHOW CHOW DOWN… https://tinyurl.com/42jwm9un …And I’ll PAWS here for those of you who didn’t take a BITE out of this one…BeCLAWS if you had a RUFF time with it, after our question specified, “from Northern China”, and the dialogue’s so CHUCK FULL of those EATING, I mean leading clues…if you still came up EMPTY? You may just have to TABLE your Jumble efforts for a BIT…And I don’t say that INGEST…This couldn’t have been any simpler even if we had COLLAR ID!

Jeff’s💎Gems? The bowls, reading “Chuck Wagon”… a Shout Out to the old Purina Dog Food TV commercials… https://tinyurl.com/45tpaz2y …You gotta BOW to Jeff’s sense of whimsy…And the French Poodle, Miss Fifi Galore, he’s DISHed up as a waitress was just MAID for a puzzle like this…But the BEST IN SHOW today? Chow’s PAWtner at the table. I’m sure any Jumble aficionado reDOGnizes him. It’s none other than Gizmo, Jeff’s beloved Chiweenie, with his endEARing “broken” ear…We haven’t seen him for a while…and it’s nice to have him viSIT…Oh, and his dialogue? Too funny, PLANE and simple…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend who recently was pulling his neighbor’s leg about how smart his dog is. He told his neighbor that he taught the dog, Buddy, to speak….”How was your day, Buddy”? Buddy: “RUFF”…”What goes on top of a house”? Buddy: “RUFF”…”Who was the greatest Yankee baseball player of all time”? Buddy: “RUFF”…And finally his neighbor got annoyed and walked away…But my friend said he could understand…He just couldn’t get Spot to say DiMaggio…🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 👎🏻The TYCOON, one known to on the WHOLE abhor those who would WALLOW in self pity, intended to DITCH the premier of the documentary dealing with the homeless, titled “CHOW CHOW DOWN”…👎🏻

🚧 Ken Chow was acting manager of the construction crew,
Today he helped them dig the DITCH so water could flow through…
His Father was a TYCOON…but Ken didn’t WALLOW in wealth,
He thought the WHOLE “I’m rich” thing detrimental to his health
He enjoyed working for his keep…today knocking around…
And having lunch with the men…as one said…”Hey CHOW, CHOW DOWN”…🚧

  4. 🐶 So, a Chow Chow who’s dying to eat,
His first bowl of food just ‘bout complete…
    And he’s being served more,
    By Miss Fifi Galore…
And there’s chances she may still repeat…🐶

🤷🏻‍♂️Having travelled from China by plane,
With an appetite that’s not explained…
Did they feed Bark on board?
    Or was he just ignored?
An answer we may not obtain…🤷🏻‍♂️

👀 His tablemate known as Gizmo,
Is thinking…”This guy needs to slow…
    I’ve made the slightest dent,
    But with him?…No relent…
It’s amazing to just watch him go”… 👀

    ❓But Bark’s saying, “I’m starving, you see,
And yes, I might still go for bowl three…
    I just can’t eat enough,
    Of this delicious stuff…
    …But I’m wondering now…Is this meal free”❓

💲…Yes the meal today is on the house,
So old Barkley’s no reason to grouse…
But one thing needs made clear,
    Should Barkley reappear?
He pays or he eats like a mouse!💲

  5. TGIF ! What a great week of jumbles and it ended the work week with another solve of both the anagrams and the jumble ! And it was just like you said Angela , in doggie world to CHOW ! Great song choice and the Chuck Wagon bowls were a memory of dog years past ! Yes , great Jeffs Gems ! And tell your friend that today’s jumble was not RUFF at all ! Had a great jumble week ! Everyone have a dog-gone good day !!!!!

  6. It was a mini blind solve as, along with Angela and others, spotted all the C’s and W’s in the anagrams. With the China theme, I knew it must be CHOW DOWN XXXX. After reading Angela’s post, thought it (maybe) should be CHOW DOWN CHOW, instead of the CHOW’s being together. Thanks for one of my favorite dog jokes….very funny. Hope weather is cooperating up in the northeast today for you. Terry

  7. Good morning. Not much to say. Pretty easy and even had 2/3 of a blind solve. Had to put all the letters down to realize two words were the same. Loved your song choice Angela. Connie Francis had a soft pleasant voice and enjoyable to listen to. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. I had the letters and figured the solution was “ chow down chow” as in chow down food. So does my “chow down chow” count as a successful solution to the cartoon? What ssy ye, Angela? Chuck.

    • I don’t make the news, Professor, I only report it. 🐶🤷🏻‍♀️

  9. It seems CHOW DOWN CHOW is the preferred solution of the Jumblers here today. To quote Captain Picard, “make it so!”

  10. Like others, even though I know the Chinese Dog is a Chow Chow, I put the cartoon answer as Chow Down Chow too. Guess I’m going to the dogs today. 🐶 Betty

    • You gave me a chuckle…but rest assured, IMO, you can never go to the dogs, Betty…🐶🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. I have been solving the daily jumble for over forty years and my
newspaper will stop printing in August.  I need a website that shows the
jumble with out (WITHOUT) the answers so I can go on solving without any
help – preferably showing yesterdays answer – thanks

    • Eddie…you can use this link, it’s the one I refer to. You can print it and play on your own, or use the interactive version. It also posts on Sundays, which a lot of sites don’t do. And you can use the back arrow to see puzzles from previous days. You’ll also find that you can enlarge the puzzle, to see all the details. I hope this helps. 🙋🏻‍♀️

      • I believe Angela is short for angel and you surre are an angel to answer
me so quickly and solve the problem – Thank you ever so much – Ed Koenig
        in SC

        • You’re very welcome, Ed. But…Angel? Hmm… I fear there’s wayyyy too many people who’d disagree…😂 but I thank you very much for saying. I’m glad I could help. And in case you haven’t noticed, at the right hand side of the page are the icons I referred to…There’s the printer, and the arrows to access puzzles from other days. Also, try out all the icons at the left, there’s a lot to offer. Ed, I remember a while back there was a similar situation where a paper stopped publishing the Jumble. People were furious, and wrote in voicing their displeasure with the paper’s decision. There was such a backlash, the paper was forced to concede to the readers wishes, and reinstated it. You might try doing the same. It’s definitely worth a shot. I hope it helps. Enjoy your day, Ed…and try your best to stay cool with this ridiculous heat wave. Take care.🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Hi buddy – I am back

The link below worked fine except it is only used for July 19th. I want
to open today Saturday 20 July 2024 and there must be a trick to open
past puzzles and todays puzzle – Still need your help – Thanks – Eddie

        • Hi Eddie…I don’t know why it’s not opening correctly for you. I just clicked on the link I sent yesterday and it opened right to today’s puzzle. And as for past puzzles, at the right hand side there’s the word PUZZLE in between 2 arrows. One brings you to the day before, and one to the day after. Here’s the link again…I’ve no idea why it’s not working…I’ve posted it in the past for others, and it’s always opened correctly…and I’ve been using it for years…I’m stumped…🤷🏻‍♀️

          https://tinyurl.com/y935fk74

          • sorry but if I open the link (the only link I have) it opens to 7/19 all
the time – No choice – Eddie

              • What you sent me today was the answers for todays (7/20) puzzle – not a
new link –  We are sooooo close – Eddie

              • Eddie…I have only one link. The site is saved on my iPad. It opens each day to that day’s puzzle…automatically. I do nothing to alter it…I’m lost as to what else to tell you. Maybe, if nothing else, use the link and then the arrow to bring you to the next day’s puzzle? 🤷🏻‍♀️

          • I also highlighted the link you gave me and copied it as an icon on my
            desktop

            • I’m really stumped, Eddie. It works fine on my end…🤷🏻‍♀️

              • I didn’t get a second link – only the original – please send the new
                link again – thanks

              • Does the link you send by return email the same as the original???????It
must change every day – Eddie
