  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🗣️A CALL TO ARM..IES🗣️

🎶 Count off the cadence loud and strong; for where’er we go,…You will always know…That The ARMY Goes Rolling Along….🎶 “The Army Song” – The United States Army Band (this version adopted 1956) https://tinyurl.com/2hdkhaxj

🗣️The drills were heard so loudly, STEREO sound that’s for sure,
These soldiers barely past their YOUTH chanted the call du jour…
PROOF Sergeant Vance did hold the line…the DRIVER of it all,
This morning ritual intact…known as daily roll call
And when it ends, an interview…the news station sent Judy…
To get the story firsthand…she’s primed to REPORT FOR DUTY …🗣️

AR, MY…Could this be any easier?

So…Today’s puzzle brings us to an Army base, obvious by our cartoon giving us barracks https://tinyurl.com/mtxaf3zk  and soldiers marching. JOINing that, our question’s giving us the word “newsperson”  https://tinyurl.com/bdfybakk  = REPORTER, and the dialogue:…”ask the Sergeant”, (who I’ve dubbed, AD (short for Adam) VANCE… and “roll call”, https://tinyurl.com/y33exffx  which of CORPS solidifies our location. Judy, last name CALLINS, is today REPORTING on site, on the FRONTLINES, so to SPEAK, for “Jumble” TV, as we can see from her microphone and the cap worn by her cameraman, CAM CORDER. And with Judy saying she’ll “ask a few questions” and Cam saying he’ll “set the shot up” = the DUTIES of their jobs, as long as you paid ATTENTION, this solve was on TAPS, I mean tap immediately. If we were given any more clues, we’d be under SURVEILLANCE for not doing our DUTY! Our solve? A well-known, WAR out, I mean worn out idiom…Judy was ready to…REPORT FOR DUTY https://tinyurl.com/2ex6jrpc …See? I SOLDIER this wasn’t going to be MARCH trouble..And I think it’d be nice if UNIFORM a LINE to the right, to TANK David for giving us such a MAJOR win today…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and COMBAT tomorrow…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who served in Afghanistan. He often speaks about how he survived PEPPER spray and MUSTARD gas…He calls himself a SEASONED Veteran …🗣️🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🚗 There was PROOF that the STEREO belonged to the YOUTH who was the DRIVER when he and his friends were in a rush to REPORT FOR DUTY…🚗

🎶 The STEREO saw better days, but the YOUTH held it dear,
The PROOF was in the pudding, since he made it very clear…
As the sole DRIVER of the car he felt it still a beauty…
When left to him as his brother went to REPORT FOR DUTY…🎶

  4. 🗯️ Breaking news now has become the norm,

🎤 Today Judy reports for duty,
    Working for J-U-M-B-L-E …
    She’s awaiting her chance,
    To speak with Sergeant Vance…
Hoping to get the scoop…A to Z…🎤

🎥 So with her cameraman by her side,
She’s trusting that Vance will provide…
    The answers she needs,
    To fulfill her news feeds…
So her audience won’t be denied…🎥

  5. Well, Angela….your explanation of today’s Jumble answer makes it sound so easy, and now that I look back on it, it does seem so (after the fact). But upon an initial gaze, I was pretty perplexed and had to solve the anagrams before continuing. And STEREO took forever, too. Alas, with letters in front of me, DUTY emerged and all fell into place. I hope your friend didn’t really experience Mustard gas….thought armies disbanded use of chem warefare. Enjoy your TGIF. Terry

  6. TGIF ! Although it didn’t end the work week completely ! The anagrams were all there except the last one that I majorly rolled my eyes , and I should’ve seen it ! So I’ll just turn on the STEREO and forget it ! Now the jumble , relating to a news person on duty , left me with three words I thought would work ! They were Proof , True , and Report ! I tried to find the rest of the letters, but I just scratched my head and said wow ! DUTY was the one that threw me off ! It was a fun one , but by Friday my brain sometimes gets overworked ! Angela , your joke about your friend , a seasoned veteran made me smile and put a positive on today ! So I’m ready to come back tomorrow to cap off a wonderful jumble week !!!!!

  7. Good morning. After racking my brain for quite sometime I finally came up with stereo. The cartoon answer was a different story though. I had a semi blind solve, because I had “Report For Work “but when I put the letters down I came up with Duty for the last word. I’ll take a star and a half. One for the words and the half for an almost blind solve. Enjoyed your song choice Angela even though it was not my branch of the service. While in the Navy Reserves the Army drafted me so I had to push boot camp up ahead of the Armies date. Until tomorrow take care

  8. Friday strikeout: first I thought stereo was ‘sortee , then miscopied the letters from stereo, so was lacking the ‘E’ for report in the jumble solution. At least it ‘s a sunny but colder Friday morning here in Central Illinois. Chuck.

  9. Looks like everything’s spick and span

And in order for the day that began

    With a.m. reveille

    The troops all did rally

Is there time for this cameraman?
