🚙 They tried to keep the FOCAL feature of the YOUTH auto maintenance program centered on how to avoid SLUDGE buildup in a car…and what to FORBID, so as not to HIT OFF COURSE…🚙
🏌🏻♂️The argument was if YOUTH would do better at the game,
Or was experience of older players key to fame…
The FOCAL point was putting…no question they’d FORBID,
And hopes were that nothing would SLUDGE up things for any kid
The wisdom of the veterans proved it pays to trust the source…

It’s taco-Tuesday and I’m gonna have some tacos to relieve my mind from the jumble ! I did get it , but it took a lot of figuring out words and golf talk to finally get the phrase that fit the cartoon and golf ! HIT OFF COURSE ! The anagrams were a “hole in one “ ! Still fun and can’t wait for Wednesday jumble ! Everyone have a great taco-Tuesday !!!

My son has just bought a junior set of golf clubs for his six year old daughter and she’s out on the practice greens.
Fairly easy anagrams so didn’t stumble over those. Puzzle cartoon gave me grief so capitulated early and went to Angela’s post for the answer. Somehow missed COURSE in all of those letters, even though I saw OFF which should have clued me in. Have a 3:10 tee time today so braving the hot Texas heat to play today. Haven’t hit any roofs lately !!! Excellent song choice to listen to, at the breakfast table….Here’s one for the Duke !!!
A while back a reader posted that it seemed like every puzzle related to golf has the word COURSE in it. IMO, why not? So I figured if the solve wasn’t an automatic read…then one had to at least see COURSE for the 6 letter word…And you, kind Sir, spend so much time out there! 😉 The humanity! 😂 And yes…there’s always one for the Duke. Good morning. Enjoyed it today. Had a blank stare on three words and then the light bulb came on and I was able to get everyone. The cartoon answer I finally got when I couldn’t make Course because I had an I and had to change The for Hit. Great song. Don’t think anybody could sing that better than her. I thought off the course at first but then got hit off course.
This is a strange solution. The double meaning of OFF COURSE with “of course” does not jibe with me. Of course what? Of course (!), this means lots of shadow solutions, some of which make nearly as much sense as the intended solution. Many of these contain OFF. They include OFF OUR ITCHES, OFF THE CURIOS, HIT ROE CUTOFF (was he on the Supreme Court?), and HIS ORE CUTOFF. The one I like the most is OFF HOT CRUISE. Maybe his recently been on that cruise made him hit the ball erratically. And I find the ;question about whether the guy had balls rather strange, too.
The way that guy was playing, he better have balls…extra ones, for all the one he loses…OF COURSE!

This was the rarest moment where I had to visit this website because, unbeknownst to me, my hometown paper published the comic picture part of today’s Jumble but I guess they forgot to publish the clues and puzzle with today’s Jumble.
