  1. Good Morning, Everyone 🤦🏻‍♀️GRUMBLES AT GRUMBELS 🤦🏻‍♀️

🎶 WORKIN’ 9 to 5 Oh, what a way to MAKE A LIVIN’’…Barely gettin’ by it’s all takin’ and no givin’…They just use your mind and they never give you credit…It’s enough to DRIVE YOU CRAZY if you let it…🎶 “9 to 5” – Dolly Parton 1980 https://tinyurl.com/bddw6b5z

🤦🏻‍♀️The younger, the ELDER, the age it doesn’t matter,
Marla, doing retail…sometimes feels mad as a hatter…
Some days hell in a hand-BASKET, demands can hit a pitch,
She hears a pile DRIVER’s noise with every single glitch…
A headache’s definitely coming on…would JUICE keep it abated?
A broken laptop that was thrown? It’s all so …“JERK”-RELATED! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Our Guest Jumbler today, Norm Feuti, https://tinyurl.com/bdfak3f9 has stopped publishing the daily comic, “RETAIL”, https://tinyurl.com/ms7ekwyb to concentrate on writing children’s books… https://tinyurl.com/4w9rf5mk …but Lord knows the trials and tribulations that Marla Garrison faced on a daily basis, as we can see here today, working at Grumbels Department Store were nothing to laugh at. Well…you know what I mean…

Today’s cartoon…We see Marla, a main character, https://tinyurl.com/5d8z7tw7 dealing with a man angry over the fact that his laptop is broken…and looking for a refund…AFTER HE THREW IT! What a JERK! No wonder she has a headache…As I said earlier…The trials and tribulations…of WORKing Retail?…Plus that huge clue in our question….”On-the-job”…and those tell (RE)TAIL quotation marks? …Definitely….“JERK”-RELATED https://tinyurl.com/5xza756a headaches!

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and a special thank you to Mr Feuti for joining us this week as a Guest Jumbler. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🧃As part of his WORK-RELATED duties, the ELDER DRIVER was assigned to deliver the BASKET of JUICE boxes…🧃

🏀 They took a break from BASKET ball, the day was growing late,
The DRIVER, running out of JUICE couldn’t carry his weight…
Hardly the ELDER player, yet still feeling deflated…
He wasn’t up to playing the game that was WORK-RELATED…🏀

  4. To end the work week Friday put a stop to the guest jumbles that came right to me ! This one made me feel like a JERK , cause I just didn’t see it ! But oh well ! The anagrams were all there , I just couldn’t get the jumble ! Have to rest on this one and cap the weekend tomorrow ! What helped me handle not being able to solve it was the Dolly Parton song 9 to 5 ! It fits real nice ! So everyone have a great Friday !!!!

  5. Took the anagrams to solve puzzle….Saw the word JERK, and I guess that was the end of that. Yes, great song, and I could watch that movie over and over, even with Jane Fonda in it. Weather in central Texas very pleasant so hopefully we’ll all have a pleasant Friday/weekend. Thanks, Angela. Terry

  6. I don’t get the point in this one. Jumbles should have a double meaning; this one has only a single meaning. And to make things much worse, RELATED has four anagrams. Her headaches could be JERK RELATED, JERK ALTERED, or JERK ALERTED; perhaps her headaches were telling her that she was dealing with a JERK. There is also JERK TREADLE, but that doesn’t seem as likely. My belief is that JERK TREADLE is not a good solution, but the other three anagrams make moderately good solutions and are all equally likely.

    • I tend to agree with Jim on this. I understand that this is a play on the “job-related” phrase but the word jerk is very different than job. Sometimes, the puzzle idiom with quotations will have a similar pronunciation, but jerk is not even close to job! Thank you for the song choice, Angela! I will be seeing Dolly Parton live in Dallas next week!

      • Hi Tom…YW. I love Miss Dolly…Enjoy next week…The puzzle though? The pun relates to WORK-RELATED, not job related…I even included the “work-related” definition link in my post, as I always do in similar situations. And my second posting reads WORK-RELATED in both my sentence and my rhyme… I think it’s a brilliant play on words…WORK-RELATED…”JERK”-RELATED! 🙋🏻‍♀️

        • Hello Angela,

Yes! I finally see the light and get it now. I was looking at this incorrectly. Angela, you are absolutely correct that jerk rhymes with work and WORKS perfectly in this answer. I was in a rush to get out the door today, and did not consider this very carefully., Wow, do I feel like a JERK!
Thank you for your response, my friend!

        • Hello Angela. I sent another reply, but it possibly did not get through. Thank you for your response, and I now see that jerk-related makes perfect sense and does indeed rhyme with work-related. I was in a hurry to get on the road for a WORK-RELATED seminar this morning and did not read carefully…my bad. Thank you, my friend!

          • Hi Tom. A “work-related” seminar indeed! 👏🏻👏🏻! YVW. Good night…Pleasant dreams. 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • My preference is for JERK ALTERED. If someone behaves like a jerk to me, I would like to alter them so they won’t be jerky any more.

  7. Good morning. Breezed through the words but took some time to come up with the cartoon answer. I saw jerk pretty quick but the second one took forever to get. Enjoyed the song video Angela. She does make you smile with her zest for life. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. Jerk as a first word caused me to be stumped by the cartoon, despite having solved the anagrams and having the letters at hand. Chuck.
