    • Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…

      🦗PATIENCE YOUNG GRASSHOPPER…HOPPORTUNITY KNOCKS 🦗

      🎶 WARM WELCOME…🎶 … Basspartout 2021 https://tinyurl.com/47mc6pcm

🦗Maybe there was a CURFEW, and he missed the cut-off mark,
Maybe upon a SEESAW…he stayed too long at the park…
No way could a LASSO be used to bind him to the others,
(And MODEM – a word left behind…in this case it’s my druthers)
But Dennis found his way back…who knows where he came from…
The others locusts happy – offering a “SWARM” WELCOME”! 🦗

Ok…For those of you who know me, you have to know how I feel about puzzles like this…They BUG me to no end…So there’s no WARM, fuzzy feeling for me this morning…Like I need to be PLAGUEd this early in the day…Trust me, I could do withDROUGHT it…

So..Locusts… http://tinyurl.com/mr2npxwc …And if there’s one thing we all know about them, it’s the fact that they SWARM…And today we see Dennis HOPPER returning home after having lost his way…maybe he wasn’t patient enough to wait for the others…But when he did come knocking at that door, just as with the Prodigal DUN-g Beetle, he’s greeted with a “SWARM” WELCOME… http://tinyurl.com/2j7zexhw ..One can’t help but note all the greetings FLYing AROUND in the dialogue…

Jeff’s Gems? As whimsical as he managed to keep David’s vision, all those locusts SWARMing around atop the panel, while accurately depicted, are no pie-in-the-SKY for me…And since locusts feed on sweet fruit, the two seen holding such makes for a PEARfect touch…But that one at bottom? Look real closely…you’ll see that he’s shown with his mouth full…Definitely CHEWS the scenery… http://tinyurl.com/5eu97845 …right? …CICADA hand it to Jeff though …he does love the attention to detail…His HOP-TICS are second to none…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And while I didn’t dig deep looking for dirt on locusts…because just the initial Google search brought up wayyyy too many pictures…not to mention my breakfast…I did come across an interestingly random tidbit…It’s said that Grasshopper meat is a great source of protein; is sustainable, and can be eaten cold…Whereas Locusts…on the other hand…have to be SWARMed up first…🦗🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🙇🏻‍♀️ Having missed CURFEW, and still needing to work on her overdue paper on Ted LASSO, she felt as if she was on a SEESAW, and definitely didn’t give a WARM WELCOME to discovering that now the MODEM was on the blink…🙇🏻‍♀️

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️ Now needing a new MODEM, they wished they could LASSO,
Their problems into all one bunch and give them the heave-ho…
The kid’s SEESAW is broken, a CURFEW’s on the town,
One thing after another has their heads spinning around
This new year, yes, so far a bust…they’re starting to feel numb…
Two months in and so far it don’t deserve a WARM WELCOME! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️

    • ❌ If it crawls or it flys…I say nix,
      Any bugs…I can’t help feeling sick…
      But with locusts?… Do trust,
      There’s no way to adjust…
And I’d hate to see them in the mix…❌

🦗From the Grasshopper family they came,
Six of one, half a dozen their name…
You can call them what may,
Just stay out of my way…
      I abhor them…both one and the same…🦗

🙇🏻‍♀️Puzzle witty, I’ll give it that much,
But the subject? I’d rather not touch…
      Like that spider I found?
Damn near burnt my house down?
Yeah, a locust? He’d def be in Dutch…🙇🏻‍♀️

🤦🏻‍♀️ But I rallied and got the job done,
Despite this close 🤏🏻I was to succumb…
So not my cup of tea,
      (I’m sure many agree)…
I was nauseous soon as I’d begun! 🤦🏻‍♀️

👍🏻 But it is what it is, I will say,
Just another part of Jumble day…
      So as Dennis comes back,
      Despite my giving flak…
      It just proves with a will there’s a way…👍🏻

  2. Very interesting commentary this morning, Angela. Yep, tough subject to make you smile, knowing that swarming locusts have destroyed crops with devastating results around the world. Anyway, this was no blind solve material for me today…but with anagrams completed, saw the WELCOME and put this puzzle to rest. I even took a quick listen to your song, and of course, found it quietly inspirational, as it was purported to be. Enjoy TGIF and will catch up with you Saturday. Terry

    • Thank you, Terry…and wishing you the same. 🦗🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. Oh….I meant to tell you that during Air Force Survival Training, we learned about the importance of eating such “bugs” found in the wilderness (if you were a downed airman). Gotta love that protein !! Terry

    • TMI, Terry…🤮…I’m still trying to recover! 😂🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning. Enjoyed it again today because the words were not automatic. I had to think a bit before getting each one. The cartoon answer took some time to get but was completed for a dual victory. Until tomorrow take care.

  5. Enjoyed the puzzle today. It was an easy one.  Keep up the good work Angela I love all your comments and songs as well as your jokes. Have a nice weekend.

  6. Yes, those locusts do tend to swarm

    Keeping each other warm

    While stripping plants bare

    Eating everyone’s share

Swooping down to descend like a storm!

  7. Stumped again by the cartoon despite having the anagram letters. At least March came in like a lamb rather than a lion!Chuck.
