Lady Gaga has been been around music all of her life. Her rise to prominence came in 2008 when she released her debut studio album entitled “The Fame”. With hit singles like “Just Dance”, “Paparazzi” and “Poker Face”, the album ended up going six-times platinum and would spend 248 weeks on the Billboard charts. She was just 22 years old at the time. She’s also a savvy businesswoman. She’s constantly reinventing her image which gets people talking. Who could forget the infamous “meat dress” she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. She literally wore a dress made out of 50 pounds of raw flank steak! Peta wasn’t too pleased with her, but her fans ate it up. They seem to GO GAGA over everything she does!
All of today’s clue words were classic hits! Three of the anagrams were new with DPATA being the only one we’ve seen before. The one I had treble solving was RPROLA as I initially saw it as POPLAR. I also noticed that all of the solved words were listed in alphabetical order. That’s that eighth time this year!
Today’s cartoon brings us to a concert where we see a performer dazzling the crowd. The moment I saw the octopus costume I knew Lady Gaga would be the woman wearing it. It’s just sort of her thing! From what we could see of her face I’d say Jumble Jeff gave us an accurate caricature of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Her nose is the feature that really stuck out! The gentleman up front is wearing a t-shirt with a face and the words “Born This Way” on it. I looked it up and it’s the name of her second album as well as a song that was on it.
The final solve was an anagram consisting of six letters. Three were consonants and three were vowels. The letter layout was quite cryptic if you had no idea who Lady Gaga was. This one was a blind solve for me so I didn’t have to worry. GO should have been the obvious two-letter word leaving GAGA for you to find in the remainder. Have a terrific Tuesday everyone, and just keep NMGIBJUL!

Not that hard although I had to guess that that long name was Lady Gaga.
I expect Mike & Angela got it immediately.
I am very troubled by the catastrophe in Florida. Like others I haven’t said much mostly because this is a time where nothing I can say will be meaningful. I lived many years in a Santa Monica beachfront building where anything could have happened.
Whew! Life can be hard at times.
Not immediately Mig, but pretty close! I don’t think GAGA for Lady Gaga will be a big leap for most. I’d assume most of the visitors today are coming for the answers to the anagrams. And maybe to read everyone’s comments. Much thought and meaning goes into all of them.
Yes, I did Mig. I’m a fan…And the situation in Miami continues to be heartbreaking. But while words may fall short, prayers are by no means meaningless…and I continue to pray for everyone involved. 🙏🏻🙋🏻♀️
Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…
🎤 In case the name don’t ring a bell, it’s easy just to search,
With Google at our fingertips, one’s not left in the lurch…
But those of us who know her, aren’t FOGGY on the name,
Nor with her Little Monsters…we’re aware of Gaga’s fame…
She started a Foundation, so that she could lend a hand,
Called “Born This Way” it’s aided youth for years across the land
(I’m trying to ADAPT our words to fit within this theme…
But PARLOR and a GALLEY? …No, not here, it doesn’t seem)
So seeing those three first names, we can recognize this star…
Today we’re at her concert…where her fans just GO GAGA! 🎤
A timely puzzle, with Gaga celebrating the 10th Anniversary of “Born This Way” by re-issuing it last week. https://tinyurl.com/2arak2cj 🎤🙋🏻♀️
🌫 Trying hard to ADAPT to life in the FOGGY city, she hated how it caused her GALLEY kitchen and PARLOR to be dark..nothing to GO GAGA over…🌫
⛴ The GALLEY of the boat was quaint, the tiny PARLOR too,
She figured she’d ADAPT…besides, the months – just one or two…
Deciding to stay on the boat, while her house underwent,
The renovating…and she hoped her choice not FOGGY bent…
She’ll try it out, the weather’s nice, the distance not so far,
And she can always change her mind…if she can’t GO GAGA! ⛴
Blind solve on the puzzle for me, too. I am not in the lady’s music wheelhouse, but she’s someone everyone knows. I was a bit Foggy walking out into my Parlor this morning but able to Adapt and find my way to the Galley for breakfast. Pop-up showers expected again in O-ville today. Got about an inch of precip yesterday. Sorry for the West Coast struggles with drought. Hope family and Jumble friends out there get rain soon!
Good morning. A total repeat of yesterday. I automatically put the letters down after getting the words before looking at the cartoon answer so I can’t claim a blind solve. Loved your input Mike and Angela naturally your song choice. The girl can really put on a show. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Tks, Paul. Enjoy your day, and stay safe with this heat. 🙋🏻♀️
As with others, an easy blind solve…and anagrams followed quickly. Bless her heart, she’s an amazing talent, but I’m more in tune with standards from the great American Songbook.
Thanks Paul. You rock! 🙂
When you know her real name, this becomes so simple. There have been a few recently where I knew the answer without having to solve the words.
That’s impressive Ronald. Well done!
A second day of a ‘foggy’ solve. The daily deluge must have dampened my brain.Galley and parlor gave me reason to pause, but then the plurality of G’s gave away the answer, even though I didn’t know who “Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta” was.We did see Lady Gaga on the scoreboard screen, when she was in attendance at a Mets game we attended at Shea Stadium in NY several years ago.
Yes kids! Immediate blind solve! Then played word catch up! I guess I could be considered one of her “little monsters”, as I have purchased her music and watched her on TV etc. She has always seemed more “real” and very “kind”, compared to some of her other “diva-esque” predecessors! Take care all, and many prayers to the Florida families.
The answer was easy to guess when I had 2 G’s and O, A, A but needing a third G, I finally got GALLEY, my missing jumble!
Stay cool!! Don’t GO Galloping everywhere today!
…Or Gallivanting! 🔥🙋🏻♀️
The American spelling of PARLOR had me stumped for a while, as I always spell it PARLOUR.
A scorcher of a day here in S. Ontario as it is in many places today.
Extremely hot here too, Helen. We’re hovering at 100° for the past few days, and the same’s on tap for tomorrow. Stay safe. 🙋🏻♀️
Always ending y words in y is too easy.
Symbolically or abysmally?
“Y” should it matter? 😉 It’s just a game! 🙋🏻♀️
True enough~
👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Easy breezy puzzle this morning. Lady Gaga is a unique and wonderful talent. I thought her rendition of “The National Anthem” at President Biden’s inauguration was magnificent, as was her outfit complete with a golden dove. Happy Tuesday to all!
I felt so too, Betty. She brought me to tears. It was the high point of the inauguration, IMO, and she definitely did our country proud. Happy Tuesday to you too! 🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️
Too easy 100 yr old lady el have a great day
Bless you, Eleanor. Stay safe. 🤦🏻♀️
Hi all – Well, I just happened to know Lady Gaga’s name well enough to recognize it, so that made the answer trivial. Until I read the caption though, I thought it was going to be something about Medusa. The six letter words took me several tries, despite the fact that the double letter trick and putting the Y at the end both worked for GALLEY.
Good wishes to everyone. Thanks for the note on the “Born This Way” reissue Angela – I hadn’t heard about that.
“The ship’s new cook had to ADAPT to FOGGY conditions in the GALLEY that he hadn’t heard about in the captain’s warm dry PARLOR during his hiring interview.”
YW, Steve. 🙋🏻♀️
Not a Gaga fan but daughter is and I knew the answer as soon as had the letters. I have dry eyes, however, everytime I watch news of building collapse in FL I cry and tears flow. Like many others, my positive thoughts and prayers go out to all. Peace!!
