  1. Good Morning, Everyone. 🦮 FLEAing THE SCENE…🦮

🎶 My dog has FLEAS…now no degrees, no PhDs…he’s only got FLEAS…🎶 “My Dog Has Fleas” – The Royal Ukulele Band Of Hollywood 2010
    https://tinyurl.com/y52uns5b

🦮 A dog may not be GRUBBY, but still you’ll see him scratch,
And if it’s fleas you have to treat…or else lots more will hatch
You see your dog is GOING ‘round and itching through the day,
The FUTURE won’t be rosy if the fleas decide to stay…
So owners can’t be FOGGY…they must act not merely scoff,
A bath and a flea collar is the way to say…BUG OFF! 🦮

…And to Everyone enjoying their morning coffee in their “I ❤️ Jumble” mug, as our guy’s doing here…I hope your day goes well. It’s a new dawn…Start from SCRATCH…and make it a good one….And stay safe out there. 🦮🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🧔🏻 Suffice to say that if he continues GOING around looking this GRUBBY, and appearing to be in such a FOGGY frame of mind, his FUTURE won’t be very bright…and he’ll continue hearing “BUG OFF” at all his interviews…🧔🏻

🥃 The night turned dank and FOGGY, and he hated GOING out,
The streets might be all GRUBBY once the rain came down in spouts
But his FUTURE in-laws called again…they’d had too many quaffs…
He’s really had enough of this…and wished they’d just BUG OFF! 🥃

  3. Good morning. Welcome to beginners Jumble. Now just because last Monday was extra hard and some people (myself excluded) stated that fact it didn’t mean we should revert to kiddie Jumble. Today was easy breezy from beginning to end. Angela you amaze me with the songs you find everyday. You are”The Queen of Puns and Music”. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. Thank you..you’re too kind. And I agree…way easy one today…Enjoy your day, Paul. Be well and stay safe out there. 🦮🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Way too easy today even for a Monday puzzle, with foggy and grubby seeming like recent repeats ,and “going”,even more obvious, and the cartoon answer ” Bug Off ” even more of a given.I guess having a paper newspaper rather than last Monday’s online version helped.

    • Good Morning, Professor. While FOGGY has appeared this past January, https://tinyurl.com/y5poarzr exactly as is, it seems that GRUBBY may be a new entry. I’ll try to look into it further if I get some extra time. Be well, Prof and stay safe. 🦮🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. I believe David made a mistake, thinking it was Saturday and printed the child’s jumble. That’s how I felt when I first saw the drawing. I t was easy GOING… hoping this not the new jumble in the FUTURE!

  6. Hi all – Pretty much instant solve on the words and answer this Monday.

    Good wishes to everyone.

Nice song Angela! I knew that “My dog has fleas” was used to tune something but didn’t realize it was specifically for ukuleles. It reminds me of when we had the cartoon with the Beatles where George was playing his. I found this about the instrument , which claims the name means “jumping flea” in Hawaiian (if I knew that, I’d forgotten it):

“I hope the FUTURE doesn’t hold too many more days like last week when you might have gotten GRUBBY GOING for a jog in the smokey FOGGY morning air.”

  7. Not a red letter but a double letter day. I like word games so always look for ING or repeat letter groupings and that was everywhere today. After last Monday’s trial today’s Jumble was way too simple.
Isn’t that piano where they use ‘my dog has fleas’ for tuning?
While the fires are still ripping the southland the smoke levels and temps have dropped to more livable levels. Still ugly out there and terrible in the directly affected locales. In the Gulf region they ran through the alphabet for naming and started using the Greek alphabet. Only second time that has happened I believe.
    What a year.
Stay smart, stay safe and stay home!

  8. There is an error in Monday’s Chicago Tribune Daily Jumble. The letters to solve the cartoon jumble do not include the letter “o” and instead include the letter “i.”
