LAZIER threw me for a loop. I wanted the word to be REALIZE but realized the 7th letter was a no-no!
The cartoon solution was not too hard since it’s Memorial Day.
Fun Holiday quiz……………….
BE Happy today although I get it if you lost someone in a war. I lost a fraternity brother in the Viet Nam war and think of him every Memorial Day………………
Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well….
Today is the day we pay homage to all those brave men and women who didn’t come home. It’s not the same as Veterans Day, it’s not a day of celebration, so using the word “Happy” as a preface to its greeting is out of place. Today wasn’t founded in joy, with the promise of it bringing happiness each year. It’s a day of solemn contemplation over how high a cost was paid for our freedom…And in the spirit of remembrance, I wish Everyone, especially those whose families were called upon to pay the ultimate price, a blessed, thoughtful Memorial Day. And may God Bless America. 🇺🇸
Well said Angela! I keep catching my self saying ‘happy’ and have to change my wording… So many young lives.
Have a productive day!
Mig
Tks, Mig. Wishing you a good one too. 🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️
Anagrams solved easily today, although LAZIER posed a few extra seconds. Was initially onto a puzzle answer in the MEMORIAL vein, but that was not the case.
As an Air Force Veteran, I appreciate Angela’s thoughts on the meaning of today’s holiday…very well articulated. So, thanks for those warm thoughts.
Good Morning, Terry. Thank you. And thank you, Sir, for your service. 🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️
👨🏻🍳 Considering that he’d gotten THROWN in with two of the LAZIER chefs on the panel, he thought it to be MONUMENTAL progress when he overheard one of the judges use the words NOVEL and YUMMY in the same sentence…👨🏻🍳
📚 He called his cookbook “YUMMY – A New Guide to Cooking Fish”
But the recipes I’ve THROWN out…yes, each and every dish…
He should have stuck to fiction…as a chef he’s failed the test,
And to recommend this cookbook? Well, I’d really be hard-pressed…
His shortcuts? They’re not working, and believe me, I have tried,
His last NOVEL, yes, I loved it, but this cookbook? Let it slide…
The LAZIER this chef became, the gaffes? Not accidental…
The book’s kitchen blunders 101…And they’re truly MONUMENTAL! 📚
Good morning on this typical Monday jumble. No problem with the words and when it came time for the cartoon answer it was another instant solve. Two days in a row, that’s a first. To all those who died or got wounded fighting for this country may there be a reward in heaven. God bless you all. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
I too wasn’t sure that lazier was a valid word, but after settling on that, the anagrams and letters revealed a quick “monumental” Memorial Day solve.I too recall and honor the memories of all of those service men who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.May we never forget.
This was a true Monday Jumble and well chosen for this Memorial Day. As a Canadian I thank all who served in your armed forces to bring peace in the world at the end of WWII.
Same to you and all the brave Canadians who certainly did their share. Our best friends in the world.
I too saw realize at first but once I got that straightened out everything fell into place. Puzzle was a nice tribute for Memorial Day. No parades and speeches at our Presidio again this year though all the graves are decorated with little American Flags. Bless all those brave men and women we lost. 🇺🇸
Hi all – I saw MUMMY before YUMMY, and then came to REALIZE that the ER and then IER was the suffix needed for LAZIER. Didn’t need the letters for the answer, given the monument in the picture.
Good Memorial Day wishes to everyone.
