    🪏Yes the stores do sell vegetables…of that they’re quite aware,
    But a MEMORY of bad produce made something very clear…
    A tomato that looked RELIC-like and carrots with a tinge,
    Made them realize they’d rather crops that didn’t make them twinge…
    They made a SKETCH, they laid it out…a garden of their own,
    And now enjoy the freshest food…and know it’s safely grown…
    With OPERA music playing, they garden…and it’s neater
    Than anything gotten from stores..for these two PICKY EATERS…🪏

    Can’t blame them for SQUASHing the idea of getting fruits and vegetables from stores…They’ve definitely GROWN to love their garden…

    SOW…Today…a backyard garden. And we meet our couple of the hour, BASIL Rathbone and his wife, Tiffany RADISH…as they PICK the FRUITS of their harvest…and their neighbor, Jack PENNY. And where Jack’s content with spending money on what his neighborhood store PRODUCEs, Basil and Tiffany on the other hand are not. And you can’t help but ROOT for them, since they’ve taken matters into their own HANDS and seen their garden MUSHROOM …And as far as they’re concerned, it can’t be BEET…So their answer to Jack’s question?…”PEAS, KALE me now…there’s no way we CARROT all for store bought food…and yes, by now we TURNIP our noses at it. We grow our own, and have PEAS of mind…And it might sound CORNy, but you should do yourself a FAVA and LEAF that store bought stuff alone…Do you know HOE much of our monthly CELERY we’ve managed to retain? Why we’ve saved up enough to go ROMAINE the countryside…Bottom line…Yes, we’re PICKY EATERS… https://tinyurl.com/5x3b9wjv  …ONION should think about it too”…Jack’s response?..”Well, it has BEAN a while since I’ve planted anything, but since you’ve let this LEEK out, I think I will test the unCHARDed waters…In fact, I’m going inside right now and telling my wife…”LETTUCE start a garden of our own”…Ok…so I may have PEPPERed up the conversation a bit, but hey…what can I say? …It just GREW on me…And with “own food” (EATERS) in our question, “ourselves” and “right off the vine” (=PICK) in our dialogue this easy, breezy puzzle today?…I’m sure no one got STALK…Since we CORNered this solve in no THYME…

    Jeff’s💎Gems? Basil’s wearing a NY Yankee cap, and holding a tomato, while Tiffany’s picking a pepper. And Jack’s dog has a stick in its mouth. As for the rest of the crops? Take your PICK…

  2. 🤦🏻‍♀️The OPERA was based on a very old SKETCH about PICKY EATERS who were experiencing MEMORY loss…the RELIC definitely should have been left to die…🤦🏻‍♀️

    🧹🧽The members of the OPERA volunteered to clean,
    The house so that on opening everything would gleam…
    And with a SKETCH they hit the decks, because if MEMORY served,
    The RELIC of a building wasn’t all that well-preserved
    But luckily the place was small…just a 200 seater…
    So hopefully things will go well…for the show, “PICKY EATERS”…🧽🧹

    There are those who find themselves inclined…
    To just grow their own, 
    And once those seeds are sown?…
    One can’t help but follow that line…🍅

    ❤️Fresh vegetables, fruit and the such,
    Can surely please gardeners so much…

    Food that just can’t be beat…

    They’re so pleased with their crop,

    He’ll be willing to try it…no jest…
    Practice at the green thumb,
    And then he can grow some…
    And find out it does pass the test…👍🏻

  6. Good morning. The words were a breeze but when it came time for the cartoon answer I drew a complete blank. Once I looked up the answer I was disappointed that it was so easy to get. No matter how many times I tried Angela I was unable to open the song Oh well the rest of the post was great as usual. Until tomorrow take care.

  7. No thoughts on an initial solve, so went straight for the words to unscramble. With the letters in front of me, I saw MARKET right away, then SMART and also PICKY, but couldn’t string together the right words this morning. Chalk up one for the Jumble Gods. Enjoy your TGIF, Angela. Terry
