🎶The SKETCH we see…a cover band…the song not rock ‘n’ roll, (And there’s no way I’m working in COWARD or CAULK or TROLL) They just don’t fit the theme here…where this band has definitely scored… With renditions oh so perfect…we can see they’ve STRUCK A CHORD…🎶
The song…REM’s “DRIVER 8”*…and there’s no way this puzzle’s solve got away from us…It’s easily DRIVEN home…
So…Today, we find Jeff and his lovely bride Kathy listening to a band, who I think might be led by Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy,** covering the above mentioned song…And from our dialogue we GUITAR idea that they’re widely received. And Jeff’s mention of “the guitar sounds perfect” (= CHORD) coupled with the song also being RECOGNIZED (= STRUCK) as stated by the dialogue of both Kathy and the other listener, we’ve no need to PLAY around with this one. The music they’re hearing…STRUCK A CHORD***…And this solve is MUSIC to our ears…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The fact that he always has Kathy with him…a HIT in my book…and his T-Shirt…which unfortunately I can’t seem to put a FACE to…🤷🏻♀️
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, an OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE…He started a cover band…his fourth attempt..and dubbed it OC/DC…He first was thinking of joining forces with his two FRENCH friends, and covering ABBA songs…but they weren’t very good together…in fact, we referred to them as ABBA Trois…and his next attempt, with his RUSSIAN friends…covering Bee Gee tunes…which they called the KGBGs, wasn’t PUTIN them in a good light either…Next he and his Chinese friends tried their hand at Iron Maiden music…they went with MAIDEN CHINA for that one…but again, no RICE..I mean dice…So he finally went with the OC/DC…And if you hear him tell it, he’s figuring he’s going to have an easy time picking up women now. I told him he’s probably right…since with a COVER BAND they’re obviously already WILLING TO SETTLE…🎶🙋🏻♀️
🎭 The SKETCH was about a little TROLL assigned to CAULK tile…and how him being called a COWARD STRUCK A CHORD with the others…🎭
🙇🏻♂️ The TROLL online a COWARD, he had the plumbers pissed, His comments rude and so untrue…he constantly would dis… The work they’d done to CAULK the seams in all of the new houses, They went according to each SKETCH…but he still called them louses They knew their work was perfect…and always above board… They hope to find out who he is…’cause he’s def STRUCKA CHORD…🙇🏻♂️

🎶 Cover bands, yes they come and they go, Songs you recognize…some you don’t know… Are they a dime a dozen? Like the one with your cousin?… There’s a lot, yes…but some really show…🎶

This week is starting off like a typical Monday ! All the anagrams were there , except CAULK is a word I don’t say much ! But the jumble was right up my alley ! I was on a band with my brother and another and we did acoustic rock songs with 3 part harmonies ! I miss it ! But I saw CHORD and you STRUCK it for sound , which pleases the audience! So I really liked today’s jumble ! And everyone was right Angela , Frank Sinatra is a spot on musician and he strikes the right chord ! Your post was very complete and informative as always ! So let’s get ready for taco-Tuesday , and it took me a long time to text this cause I was very careful so it didn’t eliminate it all ! Have a great day !!!!
