✈️ It’s hard to MUFFLE out the sounds when one is flying Coach,
No way to get around it…each person does encroach…
…On one another, there’s no choice…(And let me stop right here,
These words…MARROW, BIRCH, TARDY? …I need to make it clear
They can’t fit our scenario…and so I must condemn)..
This puzzle today and these words? …Way a FAR CRY FROM THEM!✈️
Two things stand out today…1: The phrase being used for our solve. It’s a pretty well-known idiom, and I know I myself have used it many a time. And I think this a good time here to reiterate that you have to think idioms/phrases when looking to solve the Jumble. Read the question, study the cartoon and dialogue, and it’ll all fall into your lap. And 2: It’s a puzzle we’ve had before… https://tinyurl.com/53rtzp5j …and the moment I saw it, that bell went off…Remembering puzzles is always a boon too…
Ok…So…”Fasten your seatbelts…it’s going to be a bumpy FLIGHT” (With apologies to Miss Bette Davis) …Today…An airplane. And amongst the flyers? Some CRYers…(BAWLERS)…And while you have to feel for these poor kids…the air pressure wreaking havoc on their ears…and their parents as well…it is a disturbance, which is emphasized in our man’s dialogue. But he and his wife, sitting up in Business Class are FAR removed from it. And all of our dialogue’s YELLING us, I mean telling us that they’re thankful that Coach was a…FAR CRY FROM THEM.https://tinyurl.com/3kb5kpcx …And if you paid attention to the details, our solve should be enough TARMAC your day…and you should have a BAWL with it…and FLY right through it with absolutely no reason to be SOAR…Easy, breezy…Like taking candy from a BABY…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The two crying children of course, the terribly frustrated parents, the uncomfortable faces of the other passengers, including the flight attendant, the champagne being served to the woman at right…and our couple enjoying their scotch on the rocks…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who said he was on a flight recently and overheard the man across the aisle from him ask the attendant if his seat could be changed because of a crying baby. Turns out no…when the baby’s yours…✈️🙋🏻♀️

🤦🏻♂️The BIRCH Society meeting was off to a poor start, So many TARDY members…the chairman did lose heart… He had MARROW and celery sticks set out to greet the group, And now began to MUFFLE gripes…as they began to droop Can’t blame him one iota…he hates their haw and hem… A stickler for detail… the man was a FAR CRY FROM THEM…🤦🏻♂️

TGIF ! What a great way to end the work week ! All the anagrams were there and suzie helped me with the jumble as usual ! She saw the letters and said FAR CRY FROM and THEM was left ! What a great partner ! Bring on Saturday ! Angela , your song choice was interesting ! First time I heard it !

Yes, idioms speak volumes, but still…I had no clue. Therefore, after solving the words, it was pretty easy to put together, especially after spotting FROM in the letters. What a great scene from ALL ABOUT EVE…thanks for pointing that out. Enjoy your TGIF. Terry

Good morning. Don’t know if this will go through. I’m having trouble with the site. Unable to get the song choice and took four tries to register the ease or not of the words. Pretty easy today even the cartoon answer after all the letters were down. Until tomorrow take care.

Friday Jumble almost got me. I got through the anagrams ok but, I was thinking they were a far cry from THERE, referring to coach instead of the babies. Anyhow, thank you for the song choice. I’ve heard the song before but wasn’t familiar with that artist. Have a great Friday ! Thanks, Stan

Yes, thank you for that excellent song choice, Angela. I have always loved the Janis Joplin version of Cry Baby, but had no idea that this original version by Garnett Mimms existed. I was fun enlightening to hear this early version – thank you! Tom
