    🪦Thinking it should be UNTRUE, they couldn’t help but stare,
    That Folks ATTEND a funeral…and fun-filled times are there?…
    Yes, how they stay in business…seems hard to VERIFY,
    A smiley face and balloons ‘round someone newly died? 
    (And here’s where CARAFE sits it out, it doesn’t fit today)
    We’re dealing with a SPOTTY ad…that don’t go EITHER way
    It’s horrible to say the least…and used as an attraction?…
    No wonder there is such disdain…and an “AD-VERSE” REACTION!🪦

    Poetic license is one thing…but this should be illegal! 

    So…Today, Route 66, and a billboard that leaves much to be desired…Looming large along the side of the RUDE, the sign, touting the services of the “Fun-Filled” Funeral Home has caught our couple, Paul FUMIN’ and his wife, Anne WHATTHEHEY, totally off guard. The VERSE of the AD is so unacceptable for a business of this nature, that Paul and Anne can’t help but REACT to it BURY unfavorably (= ADVERSELY) …And I’m thinking REST assured there’ll be no PEACE in the community if that verbiage REMAINS…It’s no wonder some people had an…”AD-VERSE” REACTION https://tinyurl.com/46rcc8ep to it…And this solve? With a bad VERSE in an AD getting such an ADVERSE REACTION? WINCE you give it a thought?… Easy, breezy…a DEAD giveaway…

    Jeff’s💎Gems? The signature Jumble “J” license plate, and the MURDER of crows atop the billboard…One could DIE laughing at the wit with this one…

    So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who took a job putting up BILLBOARDS…Unfortunately…on his very first day…the first one he was working on fell on his head. He immediately quit…Said it had to be a SIGN from above….🪦🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️They did their best to VERIFY to all that did ATTEND that there wasn’t an ADVERSE REACTION to the new CARAFE line…and that the hubbub, with EITHER the SPOTTY rumors or the accusations, were all totally UNTRUE…🤷🏻‍♂️

    🤦🏻‍♂️ The claims that it was all UNTRUE did fall on some deaf ears,
    Since when it came to VERIFY, things still didn’t seem clear…
    “ATTEND to every detail” …the battle cry began,
    When SPOTTY remarks came to light…that went from man to man
    The newly designed CARAFE…EITHER now meets satisfaction…
    Or the whole project will be scrapped…with such ADVERSE REACTION…🤦🏻‍♂️

    Of these billboards that made use of rhymes…
    But most faded away,
    Though there’s still some today…
    Always welcomed by curious minds…👍🏻

    🔠Different messages there on display,
    That greeted drivers on their way…
    And while witty the most,
    This one here? It paid host…
    To a subject that def went astray…🔠

    👀 Touting funerals that would be fun,
    In poor taste…leaving our couple stunned…
    They just couldn’t believe,
    What their eyes did perceive…
    Mocking funerals? Shouldn’t be done…👀

    🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️And it left Paul and Anne quite dismayed,
    With the billboard of such a low grade…
    Made them wonder how could,
    Someone think this was good…
    And a adverse reaction it made…🤦🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

    👎🏻 Bottom line, there’s a time and a place,
    For dealing with things we all face…
    But to joke about death…
    When there’s families bereft?…
    Not a billboard one’s apt to embrace…👎🏻

  6. Not an easily solved puzzle today and actually had to give up. The only thing for sure was knowing the first word started with a vowel. I know…kind of weak. But enjoyed Angela’s musings as always…and will have to check out that 50’s song, for sure. Will check later for the Junior Jumble. Thanks, Angela. Terry

  8. As I’ve said before, I get my Sunday paper and puzzles as a weekend paper on Saturday, so even though having solved the anagrams, I couldn’t solve the cartoon. From the tally, I wasn’t alone in being stumped.I accessed your solution and should have been able to solve the puzzle. Thanks for posting the kids Jumble, as this kid at heart could solve that Jumble.Chuck.

      Did the business think it held allure?
      It shows no respect,
      So did they expect…
      …That the public would clamor for more?🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

      👎🏻 Usually these signs do dot the roads,
      But for this one…when the cars have slowed?…
      It’s brought nothing but scorn,
      So they need not adorn…
      Anywhere else with this horrid ode…👎🏻

      🤞🏻Here’s hoping the home sees the light,
      And removes the billboard from the site…
      And gets on it tout de suite,
      To never repeat…
      An ad that harbors such a slight…🤞🏻

  11. Too hard today!! Had to look it up. It is a great way to start the day!

    • It seems to be geared towards a person who’s pre-planning their own funeral…you know COFFIN up the money before time….“Take a bow” to mean dying, and the “We’ll show your loved ones how” alluding to the “fun” they’ll have at the funeral the home will throw for them. 🤷🏻‍♀️Gives all new meaning to Road Kill…🪦🙋🏻‍♀️
