🏴☠️The Pirate named Bad BUNNY held up his treasure map, Not done in any STUDIO…it surely has a flap… His men they CUDDLE closely…huddle I meant to say, And now we hear them telling him they’ve spent another day… …Looking for that said treasure…but still they come up dry, They FROZE in early morning…and now with sun they fry… The Pirate though relentless…Can’t he see that he’s surrounded? …By tons of holes around him…His complaints?…Truly UNFOUNDED!🏴☠️
As soon as I saw the word “Treasure” mentioned in our puzzle today, something immediately came to mind. And if you know me, you’ll know that any random word is a trigger…especially regarding iconic TV/movie phrases…So my mind immediately went to one of the old “Honeymooners”* episodes where “treasure” was a major laugh line. And I went looking for it…Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your appreciation of the Classic 39)…I couldn’t find the clip…but I did find the entire episode…So here’s a little bonus this morning…I hope you enjoy this flashback from the GOLDen Age of Television…**
So…Today…a “Treasure Hunt”*** …(and here’s where the Early Birds were quick to point out that that was a TV show too)…And HOLEy smokes…we find Captain Bunny berating his men with “false allegations” (= GROUNDless, UNFOUNDED) that they’re not searching hard enough…And the entire dialogue is based on the fact that his treasure is still “not found”. It’s…UNFOUNDED**** And you have to love David’s DOUBLOON, I mean double usage here today…As for our solve? No need to go DIGGING any holes with this one…In fact, there ORDER be a law against something this essy…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The map, in the image of a 💀 skull…And of course the sinking vessel…Only this time, WATER you know…it’s a Pirate Ship…
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who forgot that the Halloween party we were having was costume required…so at the very last minute puts a patch on his eye and drapes a PAPER TOWEL over his hair. When we gave him a PLANK stare, told him he looked ridiculous…and said that none of us had any idea what he was supposed to be, he said, “ARRR you kidding me? Where’s your imagination? I’m a Pirate…Can’t you see I have a BOUNTY on my head”…And he actually became MATEY pIRATE too…SWORD at us, in fact…The nerve though…he’s the one who’s a SHIPWRECK, always so off the HOOK…and looking to ARRRgue…and he GOLDS and gets upset?…If you ask me, he’s never going to see AYE to AYE with the rest of us…And AYE really think he needs to SEAk some professional KELP…I think he’s KRAKEN up…🏴☠️🙋🏻♀️
👧🏻 Her first time at the dance STUDIO, the child FROZE when it was time to do the BUNNY Hop…but after a comforting CUDDLE with her Mom, she realized her fears were UNFOUNDED…👧🏻
🤷🏻♀️The BUNNY loved to CUDDLE when the STUDIO was cold, Oft-times they almost FROZE there, until heat would unfold… The mascot though did love it there…and kept the dancers grounded… Too bad the skinflint landlord found the heat complaints UNFOUNDED…🤷🏻♀️
