Good Morning, Everyone…🛰️THE NUMBER ISS CLOSE ENOUGH🛰️
🎶 You got me going in CIRCLES…Oh, oh, oh, ROUND and ROUND I go….You got me going in CIRCLES….Oh, oh, oh, ROUND and ROUND I go…🎶 “Going in Circles” – The Friends of Distinction” – 1969 https://tinyurl.com/2yk4x9vc
🛰️The teens they listened closely, they didn’t need a NUDGE, The one boy asking ‘bout the test, he didn’t want to fudge… The information of IMPORT, the lesson’s FABRIC clear, And the Professor’s making sure his words they definitely hear A BUNNY? It’s not making it…it only would encumber… Our puzzle and our solve today…it’s simply “AROUND” NUMBER…🛰️
Today…a High School classroom and the lesson, the INT’L SPACE STATION… https://tinyurl.com/34dtp675 …And as far as its NUMBER of ORBITS = going AROUND? Closest I came up with was 141,117…as of August of last year…ASTROnomical, right? …And TBT? I’m hardly up to going AROUND in CIRCLES looking for anything more definitive. Let’s face it, no one’s here for engineering and math design…You’re here for our puzzle…and from the NUMBER quoted in our question= 150,000, the Professor’s dialogue = ABOUT = AROUND, the girl’s comment = EXACT FIGURE, = AROUND again, coupled with the quotation marks? This one was ISS as easy, breezy as the come. The NUMBER 150,000, compared to 141,117 give or take, ISS…”AROUND” NUMBER… https://tinyurl.com/27ym3k6k …And that’s all the SPACE I’m giving this today…
Jeff’s💎Gem? He’s given us so much detailed information, and still found enough SPACE for a great cartoon…
So, There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend who for a time was training to be an astronaut. He didn’t last long though, because he felt there was just way too much hype surrounding it all. People always peppering him with questions, and such an ATMOSPHERE of fanfare all the time. So he left the program. The irony was he said he just needed a little SPACE…🛰️🙋🏻♀️

🐰They agreed to IMPORT A ROUND NUMBER of the FABRIC BUNNY, and still waiting after two months felt it was time to give the manufacturer a little NUDGE…🐰
🐰The BUNNY was found lying on a wayward piece of felt, The FABRIC soft and comfortable…no wonder there he dwelt… She tried to NUDGE him off the piece, an IMPORT that it was, Her fault for leaving it there…and she needs it because She’s yet to finish her project…the new crib’s baby bumper… And only ordered 8 pieces…it called for A ROUND NUMBER…🐰
Just a little hump day Wednesday today ! The anagrams were all there for me ! But the jumble was tough to get AROUND the number , but I did get NUMBER , but the quotation marks made me over think , cause it was right there ! But I got it with a little cheating ! But I’ll make up for it tomorrow on thirsty Thursday ! Haven’t heard the Friends of Distinction song ,and was a good one. ! And sounds like your friend gambled on being an astronaut, he shouldve either not be out in Space , OR BIT on it ! Not very good but I had to try ! Yours was funny ! Anyway I’m thirsty for a continuing jumble of fun for thirsty-Thursday tomorrow ! Have a good little hump-day Wednesday !!!!!!

Didn’t quite put it all together this morning….think I’m still a bit sleepy. Solved anagrams to find NUMBER….and couldn’t find that first word. Looks easy after seeing the answer. Have a great Hump Day, Angela. Terry

Our local newspaper (Richmond Times Dispatch) announced today that they are no longer printing and distributing the newspaper on all Federal holidays except, strangely enough, Juneteenth and Columbus/Indigenous Day. So today they printed Jumbles both for today and tomorrow. I identified which one was today’s by the 7/3 in the cartoon. And so the solution is AROUND NUMBER. Not sure where that expression comes from. The only round number is 0. And I don’t like that this non-publication wasn’t announced until the day before the holiday. To me if there was word of it, it was a BANNED RUMOUR.

Kudos, Miss Eleanor! 👏🏻👏🏻 God bless…🛰️🙋🏻♀️

Tried the Jumble online and miscopied the letters from the anagrams so was temporarily stumped by the cartoon, but after correcting that error the cartoon was a much easier solve. Happy hump day to one and all! Chuck.

Dunge is also a word instead of nudge

NUDGE is not a new word to the Jumble. Any true Jumble aficionado will be aware of the fact that David has long made it known that he only uses words that are in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. The word you’re suggesting isn’t listed. Hence, no it can’t be used instead. 🙋🏻♀️

Wictionary defines dunge meaning a small group of trees. But Merriam-Webster doesn’t seem to show it.
Loading...
Again…the word NUDGE has been in Jumble play for years…and again, any word not in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary won’t appear in a Jumble puzzle. 🙋🏻♀️
I initially had no clue for the answer, but was able to find it in the letters. I believe the space station takes AROUND 90 minutes to circle the Earth, so that works out to be around 5840 revolutions per year, bringing your 141000 or so to about 147000. That’s a big NUMBER.

I got my number from Wikipedia, Dennis…you know there was no way that I was going to do the Math! 😂.And yes, it’s definitely a big number! 🛰️🙋🏻♀️

Didn’t have to go round and round to solve today’s Jumble. Saw “number” first which left “around”. Happy Wednesday all! Betty
