🦨 The Owl got too BOSSY, the skunk had had enough, He wanted to UNWIND tonight…not put up with this stuff… He closed his KIOSK early, thought he’d relax tonight, Instead he’s bothered once again…he’s tired of the PLIGHT He’ll get rid of the pesky bird…chill out with food and drinks… He saw it coming once again…and used his GOOD “IN-STINKS”…🦨
Yes, Great Horned Owls love to prey on Skunks…but this Skunk SMELLS a rat!
So…Today…a park…Where we find LEE THAL, the resident SKUNK ( = STINKS), being harassed once again by the constantly annoying Great Horned Owl, OWL E BABA. And after a hard day HAWKING air fresheners at his rented kiosk, Lee has had enough of Owl ruining his nights…and has gotten to the point where he can SCENTS ( = GOOD) Owl’s very preSCENTS…And there’s the connection…Not only the leading NATURE of our question…”knowing exactly when” (= INSTINCT) but also Lee’s dialogue…”I know”(= INSTINCT)…that easily leads to the word needed for our tell-TAIL quotation marks….Let’s face it, just as with Lee, after the first PEW times, this just becomes common SCENTS…So, our solve?…Tonight, no more Mr Nice Guy…You PREY on me… I sPREY on you…And we see Lee using his GOOD “IN-STINKS”* to unleash his deSCENTS…I mean defense…And that’s the end of this TAIL of woe!
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who was in court recently when a Skunk got into the room and sprayed…To hear him tell it…it was a true CASE of Law and ODOR…🦨🙋🏻♀️

🦨 For an owl, a skunk is a treat, Always hoping that one they might meet… So they perch in a tree, Toes crossed that just maybe… Tonight they’ll enjoy something sweet…🦨
🦉Birds of prey, they are quick to attack, Look to catch the old skunk off track… They swoop down talons drawn, Get their meal before dawn… And on full bellies then hit the sack…🦉
👃🏻 Luckily they’re immune to the smell, That to us is a stench kin to hell… So that even if sprayed, They remain unafraid… Which is why the attacks go so well…👃🏻
🤷🏻♀️So today what we’re seeing? Tad odd, Seems the owl is shown caught off guard… And old Lee Thal walks free, Not a victim to thee… Predator who gets no chance to prod…🤷🏻♀️

What a fantastic Saturday jumble ! I got all the anagrams with no problems! Unlike yesterday’s, this was a relief ! What a great play on words ! The jumble came right out and it didn’t stink , but it was GOOD IN STINKS ! And seeing the cartoon secured my comment after I got it ! Thanks for all the jumble family support ! And Angela , I loved your song choice ! That black eyed peas song was a good one ! Your comment was very creative and descriptive ! This was a great jumble day ! I’m ready for funday Sunday !!!!!!

Finally, a solve without doing the anagrams. That answer just leaped out to me. Anagrams easily solvable for a nice Saturday Puzzle day. BTW, what other rock song am I thinking of about Feelings? I’m back. After my disaster yesterday, I breezed through today’s anagrams and got the final solve easily with the quotation marks. Thank you Angela for pointing out what I thought was just a bird actually was an Owl. That makes sense as it was going after the skunk. OWL-E-BABA, You crack me up ! Thank you, Stan
This is getting ridiculous. Twice I’ve had it almost completed and lost everything I had down. The short version is out all day and going back out right after posting. Haven’t read anything. The words were easy as well as the cartoon answer. Until tomorrow take care.
