  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 💤 BABY BLUES 💤

🎶…So please turn on your magic beam…Mr. Sandman, bring us, please, please, please..Mr. Sandman, bring us a dream…🎶…”Mr Sandman” – The Chordettes (original recording) 1954 https://tinyurl.com/5a3vudbw

💤 I’ll start by saying LEAKY and PLUMB relate somehow,
But not with this here puzzle…there’s no way it allows…
We have a tired couple, and while never prone to BICKER,
They’re feeling tense and let’s face it…the air is growing thicker…
We see a cow upon the wall, (a WEASEL wouldn’t fit,
And yes, I had to use the word…I’m glad I’m through with it)
Our husband suggests a car ride…hope it works…and then maybe…
It proves the charm and that their son will then SLEEP LIKE A BABY…💤

WAIL…This is no fun…Let’s face it, they CRAWL could use some sleep…

So…Today we find ourselves at the home of new parents, wanting so badly for their BABY to SLEEP…so that they can. But no matter what they do, it’s a NIGHTMARE…And with “infant” (=BABY) in our question, and “can’t get him to settle down” (=SLEEP) in our dialogue…this puzzle’s a DREAM…They couldn’t get their son to…SLEEP LIKE A BABY *…And we’ve no SOB story here…We’ve TURNED IN another easy, breezy solve…

Jeff’s Gems? The cow jumping over the moon, a star to match the lamp, and the oval figure on the floor that looks so familiar…but I’m NOD able to COLIC my thoughts enough to identify it….

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who shortly after bringing his son home from the hospital was working from home but finding it hard to concentrate. He asked his wife why the baby was crying so much. “He needs to be changed”, she said, “why don’t you try your hand at it”…My friend…”I’m busy right now, I’ll do the next one”. And when that time came along, she asked him again. His answer…”Oh, I didn’t mean the next diaper change, I meant the next kid”…And you can guess who CHANGED their attitude real quick…💤🙋🏻‍♀️

    * SLEEP LIKE A BABYhttps://tinyurl.com/4w9jht2m
    …And a Shout 🗣️Out to David…All new anagrams today…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Hey, diddle, diddle, The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the moon; The little dog laughed To see such sport, And the dish ran away with the spoon. Oldie but goodie, Angela-Dave

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️He knew he needed to PLUMB the depths of the assignment, but Bob first hoped he’d SLEEP LIKE A BABY…instead last night…a LEAKY faucet, and his children starting to BICKER over whose turn it was to clean the cage of the pet WEASEL…suffice to say…no sleep…🤦🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️The bathroom was a LEAKY mess, his wife began to BICKER,
The wall was looking out of PLUMB…and there goes all her wicker
    She’s calling him a WEASEL now…and flinging around maybes…
…If he did this, or he did that? Chance she’d SLEEP LIKE A BABY…🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. 👶🏻 New born babies can be such a joy,
Whether they be a girl or a boy…
    So swaddled up tight,
Yet they don’t sleep the night…
    And a parent’s routine? It’s destroyed…👶🏻

🤷🏻‍♀️Trying so hard to get them to rest,
    Becomes an impossible quest…
    Seems whatever you do,
    Baby still remains blue…
And one’s patience is put to the test…🤷🏻‍♀️

💤Whether rocking or singing a tune,
Still results with the rack and the ruin…
    Every move…it’s a nope…
You’re at end of your rope…
As you pray that the baby sleeps soon…💤

🤷🏻‍♂️And our couple today? It’s their fate,
As our husband suggests to his mate…
    That perhaps a car ride,
    May help crying subside…
Because God knows it’s getting quite late…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤞🏻Fingers crossed that the drive turns out well,
And the crying of baby does quell…
    So that everyone sleeps,
    And the sanity keeps…
‘Cause right now it’s for sure shot to hell!🤞🏻

    The last word…

  5. This was a big hump day Wednesday ! All the anagrams were there except one was a lot thicker for BICKER ! And the jumble with all the vowels, had a lot of words come out ! I saw Play , Easy , Speak , then I saw SLEEP and remaining letters BABY came out and the rest was there LIKE A ! Wow , this one was fun and I’m not crying !

  6. I didn’t get a chance to finish my comment ! Something happened and I had to do it here , so Angela , your song choice of Mr Sandman was a song I always sing ! Perfect one ! Major attitude change for your friend ! lol ! Wow ! So everyone have a great hump day Wednesday and let’s keep them going for a thirsty-Thursday !!!!

  7. Well, today’s hump day puzzle, commentary and song were just tip top. Solved puzzle without anagrams, read about Angela’s funny friend and listened to a fabulous song that harkens me back to circa 1954. Doesn’t get any better in my tiny Jumble world !! Thanks, Angela, for a really great post. Terry (and as far as the solve goes…been there, done that. And riding around in a car always did wonders) TC

  8. Fun Jumble today. I had a little trouble with Leaky but it was smooth sailing after that. Wow Angela, Shower with a friend day ? That brought back memories of my dad as he was a plumber in the 1960s and he had a bumper sticker on his truck that read “save water, shower with a friend”. That was kinda bold back then. True story. Have a great day ! Thanks, Stan

  9. Good morning. I’m rolling right along with a complete victory with even a blind solve. My youngest child has used that trick to get the children asleep when it’s like impossibles to do it. Thank you Angela for such a great song. Until tomorrow take care.

    • We also did that with our youngest son to get him to sleep. A short drive out and back. Chuck.

  10. We remember those night time cries

    After dozens of lullabies

But the years whizz by fast

    Baby years do not last

A reminder of just how time flies!
