🎶All my BAGS ARE PACKED…I’m ready to go…🎶 “Leaving On a Jet Plane” – John Denver 1969 https://tinyurl.com/27snknm2
🧳Our guy seems quite the ORATOR, he was ready with his speech, About the luggage he insists need stay within his reach… His seat mates looked quite DAZED for sure…couldn’t believe the nerve, And rightfully they spoke up…his rudeness so undeserved… The PENNY-pincher that he is, so boldly tried to blame, The airplane for his actions, an excuse that’s pretty lame Despite one’s lot and INCOME, rules apply…so this moron… Caused angst that’s so uncalled for…as he CARRIED ON AND ON…🧳
Another FLY by night individual…
So…Today…We can definitely make this easy, breezy one a short TRIP…It’s a RUNWAY…I mean a runaway…We find ourselves aboard a plane…And the last thing anyone needs, especially the flight attendant, is a disruptive, arrogant person, who CARRIED ON his luggage, CARRYING ON (= acting obnoxious) about it…which as our question’s telling us, our cartoon’s showing us, and our dialogue’s STANDing BY it…isn’t considered to be the CARRY ON sort. The passenger? He CARRIED ON AND ON… https://tinyurl.com/mwamk5j7 …And we’ve LANDED another one…
Jeff’s💎Gems? Look very closely at the piece of rolling luggage the attendant’s pointing to. The label reads, “Jumble”. I tell you, this franchise has definitely gotten OFF THE GROUND…And there’s a chance the passengers could be David and the lovely Claire…but I’m not sure I’m completely ON BOARD with that…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who swears he was checking in behind a person trying to board a plane with two dead raccoons. Definitely held the line up…since he was told they only allowed one CARRION per passenger…🧳🙋🏻♀️
🗣️The ORATOR, appearing to be DAZED, CARRIED ON AND ON about INCOME from PENNY stocks…🗣️
🤷🏻♂️The ORATOR, named PENNY, had INCOME on her mind, Her husband though, so tired, just couldn’t get behind… …The conversation at all…quite DAZED is how he felt, His wife, in his opinion, was obsessed lately with wealth… He couldn’t hide his ennui, and he began to yawn, Despite it all, she didn’t stop…and CARRIED ON AND ON…🤷🏻♂️
✈️ While flying today can be tough, Rising costs, the delays…it’s all rough… One keeps fingers crossed, That time won’t be lost… And that peacefully they’ll get away…✈️
🤞🏻 Get through check-in and you’re feeling good, So far everything’s going as should… And you’re waiting to board, Thinking so far you’ve scored… And hoping the rest of it would…🤞🏻
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♂️…Remain copacetic like this, There is a slight feeling of bliss… But then you get on, And euphoria’s gone… ‘Cause a passenger’s acting amiss…🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♀️
🧳 Bringing luggage on that just won’t fly, (Pun intended …with a bit of wry)… And he’s trying to cram, Without giving a damn… Thinking to him the rules don’t apply…🧳
🤞🏻What’s to be with the scene here today? Will he cause the flight to see delay? Will he have to get off… All the while as he scoffs…? Well here’s hoping exit door’s his way…🤞🏻
I can’t believe I flew through this one with no problems at all ! All the anagrams came right to me and the jumble I saw as a personal experience that I had going on a flight with luggage that wouldn’t fit , then I had to carry it ON AND ON , the first Word CARRIED came right to Me ! And Angela , your post made today a complete success ! I like john Denver and that song was good ! And I’ll bet that Jeff did make them David and Claire ! And the raccoons were Carrion ! Very good ! What a great jumble to end the work week ! Everyone have a great day !!!!

It wasn’t my best effort today….solved the anagrams but couldn’t solve the puzzle, though I did see one of the last words as AND. Angela, what term would you suggest we use besides B____D S____E for solving without the anagrams ?? Wishing you a healthful TGIF today. Terry

I never really thought about it, Terry. IDK…But it’s very kind of you to ask …I think it’s use is a given, so I don’t know what to say. But I’m not by any means telling anyone what phrase to use. It’s just one that I avoid. 🧳🙋🏻♀️

Perhaps “immediate solve”? A “right away solve”? A “bat solve” as in “right off the bat”? As they used to say, let’s run it up the flagpole and see who salutes!

I’m glad that I don’t fly. Don’t care to be around rude people that can’t follow the rules. Only one CARRION people ! LOL Have a great Friday. Thanks, Stan

Good morning. A complete failure today. I was unable to get ORATOR, I even had to look it up for the meaning. That’s not me, although I wish it was me. As soon as I open my mouth you know I come from Brooklyn. I even failed on getting the cartoon answer. Oh well, tomorrow is another day to redeem myself. Speaking of tomorrow, until then take care.

And Brooklyn’s a great place to come from! 👏🏻👏🏻 Good Morning, Paul. Did you go back to Wednesday to check out my Shout Out to your Dad? Enjoy your day. Take care.🧳🙋🏻♀️

Just a footnote. John Denver’s song become Peter Paul and Mary’s only number one hit. I’m not sure that Denver’s version charted. Great song bringing back fond memories. Good choice Angela.
Steve from Toronto.

Tk you …And no, Denver’s version didn’t chart. 🧳🙋🏻♀️

Paused on the orator anagram, not thinking it was a word! Then having the letters was stumped by the cartoon with the multitude of letters. Wishing Angela the best and hoping she’s feeling better. Chuck.

As a regular flyer, I could write a saga on luggage!
If your carry on will fly
Then be prepared to try
To squeeze it all in
In the overhead bin
Without everyone asking why….
You just didn’t check it in
Instead you’ve committed a sin
“I’ve been through this before
I don’t want to pay more
And this is a battle I’ll win!”
And it frequently is a battle, pushing and squeezing huge bags into small spaces, You have to learn to travel light!

ORATOR took some effort, but the other words were easy. For the answer, I quickly saw CARRIED, and the rest was then obvious. I would never have guessed the answer, though.

That’s why it’s so important to study the dialogue…His ranting brought it all together…🧳🙋🏻♀️
