  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🥇ROPE A…HOPE🥇

    🎶”Olympic Fanfare & Theme”…🎶 – John Williams 1984  https://tinyurl.com/7nem84pa

🥇The memory FRESH within his mind…of when he first was told,

About his Grandad being part of the once sport of old…

The POLICY had changed though, and after 20 years,

    Tug-Of-War competition did surely disappear…

The sport itself not GENTLE…it called for elbow grease,

(And GULLY goes by way of it…it’s also called to cease)…

And as he tells his daughter…it’s his pardon she does beg…

She’s Googling his claim since she feels he’s PULLING HER LEG!🥇

Yes…Tug-Of-War was an Olympic sport in the early 1920’s https://tinyurl.com/3hxmzuww  …so he’s definitely not CROSSING A LINE by what he’s saying…

So…Today…the Beach. And while a friendly game of T-O-W… https://tinyurl.com/mr2dubkm (= A sport where your LEGS need be steady while you’re PULLING a rope)…is going on, we meet Henry FONDER, and his daughter, the DOUBTING THOMASina…Telling her that T-O-W was once an Olympic Sport, and that their ancestor had in fact been a gold medalist, part of the 1904 T-O-W Olympic Team from the USA, https://tinyurl.com/3zmpkyjh  Thomasina has her doubts…and thinks he’s teasing her…that he’s PULLING HER LEG https://tinyurl.com/42z7swaj …And it didn’t take us long to PULL this easy, breezy one together…

Jeff’s💎Gems? There’s a tiny logo right at the COLLAR of Henry’s shirt, but I can hardly see it…and I’m not sticking my NECK out trying to guess..And aside from the cartoon making it so obvious who’s suffering the agony of deFEET in the match…there, out on the water, the by now iconic member of the Jumble TEAM…the Sinking Sailboat…a WINNER every time…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I was going to tell you about my friend and his wife who joined a T-O-W club….only on opposite teams…but there’s too much TENSION between them, so I’ll pass…I’ll leave you with a rope tale instead…A rope walked into a bar, asking for a drink…only to be told by the bartender that he didn’t serve ropes, and that he had to leave. The rope, angry now, went outside, tied a knot in the middle of his body, cut up the edges leaving strands, and went back in. The bartender, looking at him suspiciously asked, “Aren’t you the rope that I just threw out of here”?…And the rope replied…”No, I’m a FRAYED KNOT”…🥇🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♀️The GENTLE-tempered, FRESH-faced teen felt they were PULLING HER LEG, as was their usual POLICY, when they told her that there once was a popular dance called the Hully GULLY…🤷🏻‍♀️

🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️The POLICY was that they’d hike together in a group,
No one was authorized to go alone without the troop…
The GENTLE woman put in charge, still FRESH to the position,
Told them the GULLY? Off limits…there wouldn’t be permission
She’s hoping that they think of her as being a good egg…
And not pull pranks or test her…she wants no PULLING HER LEG…🚶🏻‍♀️

    • Easy Saturday blind solve, with anagrams to match. How times have changed and no more tug of war. Enjoy the start to the weekend, Angela. Terry

  4. Nice way to cap the week off on this Saturday ! All the anagrams were there with no hard work ! The jumble was exactly what it was ! HE’S PULLING HER LEG ! And it was right there ! And I can’t believe you told that rope joke ! I heard that one years ago and I told it everywhere I went ! I love that joke cause I’m afraid knot ! Great jumble and great post Angela !!!!!

    • Tks, Jim…but he wasn’t pulling her leg…Tug-of-war was once an Olympic sport…🥇🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Good morning. Easy as the past two days but I only got a semi- blind solve today. I looked at the cartoon and drew a blank then put the letters down and immediately came up with the answer because I saw “ing” among them. You had me shaking my head from side to side Angela with your end pun. A career in puns might just get you the gold but as a comedian, there is a good chance you might not get on the podium lol. Always enjoy reading your hard work. Until tomorrow take care.

    • LOL! …Good Morning, Paul. Tk you…But just for the record, the joke is older than you and I put together, so taking credit for it? …’frayed knot! 😂 …Take care…and I always enjoy reading you too…🥇🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Olympic sports, they come and go

Like the tug o’ war to and fro

But with a change of rule

    Tug o’ war was pulled

    A hundred years ago!

  7. Easiest of the week with a quick solve of the anagrams and an even faster blind solve of the cartoon despite the multitude of letters! Chuck.
