  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🎾 OK…LET’S GET THIS STRAIGHT🎾

🎶 Yeah, we’re livin’ on a FAULT line…And the fault is always mine…🎶 “Fault Line” – Carly Pearce 2024  https://tinyurl.com/25r4xfuk

🎾There just was no way to ELUDE the fact she needed work,
Her swing just wasn’t cutting it…her arm she’d need to twerk…
Her Mom tries sweetly to CONVEY a helpful tip or two,
Her FATHER also tried last week…but nothing’s getting through
Granted these are her SALAD days…fun times to be preserved…
But she just won’t get anywhere…lest lose that FAULTY SERVE!🎾

So…Today…A tennis court, and I’m going with a Mother, Asia, ACE for short,  and her daughter. COURTney. And just as in tennis, where if your first SERVE doesn’t go into the correct box = a FAULTY SERVEhttps://tinyurl.com/yjr3e4y4  successfully completing a Jumble puzzle follows suit. Letters have to go into the right BOXES. If not, you might find yourself LOBbing around looking for your solution…and you’d have no one to FAULT but yourself…But that doesn’t seem to be the case today, because this puzzle definitely SERVES us well…It’s easy, it’s breezy…and some of you may not have MISSed the fact that this puzzle’s a DEUCE so to speak…it’s a repeat to boot… https://tinyurl.com/374hjz9c ..So GAME over…and we’re all SET to enjoy our WEAKend…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend, an avid tennis player. His fiancée, An-NET-te, who he met in the MIDDLE OF A TENNIS COURT, left him, claiming their COURTship was going on way too long without him making a commitment, that he had a RACKET going…and she felt LOVE just meant NOTHING to him. And although we felt sorry for him, we all had to agree that he could be obnoxious at times, with all his BACK-HANDED compliments and the like. Thing is, he just has too big an ego…swearing that he has no FAULTS…Anyway, AGASSI right through him…he’s no MATCH for me…and it was never up to me to put any FEDERER in his cap…He whole act? Just NADAL it was cracked up to be…🎾🙋🏻‍♀️

…And a tip of the 🧢 cap to David…Once again, all new anagrams! 👍🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🍴Her FATHER, the restaurant owner, trying to CONVEY to her that her table-setting skills still left much to be desired, while also hoping a little humor would ELUDE hurting her feelings…said, “Where you placed the SALAD forks? A FAULTY SERVE, I’m afraid”…🍴

🤷🏻‍♀️ She had lunch with her FATHER, they chose SALAD for today,
They’re playing tennis after this…the message to CONVEY…
Not eating heavy, so they won’t be sluggish on the court,
One can’t ELUDE agility is needing for the sport
She’s hoping she does well today, keeps her arm from that curve…
Since lately she’s been bogged down with a constant FAULTY SERVE…🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. 🤷🏻‍♀️When you’re trying hard to be an Ace,
Common knowledge one must keep up pace…
    To start off serving bad,
    Any lassie or lad…
Has to know it’s no way to save face…🤷🏻‍♀️

🫸🏻 Arm extension is definitely a must,
‘Cause without it you surely will bust…
    And Courtney needs to know,
It’s the way she must go…
In her Mom’s words she needs place her trust…🫸🏻

🎾 Yes, our Courtney likes volleys much more,
Catching the ball not hitting the floor…
But her serve is the key,
    Since we all can agree…
Without it?…No foot in the door…🎾

🤞🏻Court’s not looking like she’s having fun,
And the practice has only begun…
    Let’s hope Mom can persuade,
    Her to not be afraid…
To stick with it until it’s done…🤞🏻

🎾Here’s to both of our gals here today,
Hoping Ace can teach Courtney to play…
Yes, she’s young and has time,
    Before she’ll reach her prime…
But with faulty serves? No…there’s no way! 🎾

    • As a long-term tennis mentor/advocate, I’ve certainly seen many enthusiastic parents with less than enthusiastic children, doing their best to urge them on. I’ve also seen enthusiastic kids whose parents have poured a fortune into lessons, travel etc. only to have injury derail the potential, or lack of progress in higher-level tournaments. It’s the same in every sport. Tennis is an enormous attraction of course, because of financial rewards for both male and female – for a very few!

  5. This came as a nice way to end the work week Friday ! All the anagrams were there for me ! The jumble took a little thinking , but with only two words and the subject of Tennis , SERVE had to be one and FAULTY was left ! TGIF ! Angela, I liked your friends tennis personality and the way you described him with tennis words ! So this was a nice jumble and can’t wait to cap off the week on Saturday !!!

  6. No thinking cap on this morning, as SERVE didn’t come to mind, and if it did, I don’t think FAULTY would be the other word. No crying over spilled milk, as I unscrambled anagrams and pieced it all together for an easy solve. Nice weaving of a whole bunch of tennis words in today’s post, Angela. Enjoy your Saturday and hope weather cooperates in the NE. Terry

  7. Good morning. Don’t tell Jim he slept right through Friday on Thursday. Today (Saturday) was a slam dunk for me. No hiccups on either end of jumble. No blind solve but a solid win. Enjoyed your posts Angela and extra jumble. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Oops ! My bad ! Family with grandchildren staying and having fun for the last week , twists my brain a little ! I’m ready for ……,(Sunday ) ?? lol !

  8. Had the anagrams but put fault as the second word rather than faulty as the first word in the cartoon solution, My mistake. Have a happy but HOT weekend. Chuck.

  9. A very appropriate choice for today as Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles final has just been played with Krejcikova squeezing out the victory in three sets over Paolini. Italy is doing well on the tennis scene Angela with players making it to grand slam finals quite regularly.

You really need more than the serve

You need groundstrokes, the volley – and verve

    But what tops it all

When your back’s to the wall

You have to control all the nerves!

  10. Not a tennis player here but was able to get the cartoon answer without difficulty. Perfect song choice, Miss Angela. Wishing all a good weekend. Betty

    • Tk you, Miss Betty. It is a catchy tune! 🎶🎾🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Fast and easy solve today, yay! Checked out the Living on a Fault Line song, but soon realized I was expecting Heard it through the Grapevine. 😁😁
