    🍭Perhaps he’s been outside too long, the heat just took its toll, But lollipops it seems for Bob should not have been the goal…
    The TORRID heat did him no good…asparagus? No way,
    He’s gonna make these kids CROAK…I meant choke…but either way…
    Their throats dry like a GULCH might be, they wanted something sweet,
    (And here’s where WEASEL bites the dust…today it can’t compete)
    Poor Bob, he’s on the wrong track if he thinks these kids would pick..
    A lollipop from a green stalk? It’s hardly WORTH A LICK! 🍭

    Bob, Bob, Bob…what were you thinking? The only thing you got right was the discounting…and I don’t mean the BOGO…I mean discount the whole idea…

    So…Today, Bob’s Farm Stand…where his slogan of “Farm to Mouth Lollipops”, printed right below the “Buy 1 Get 1”, is enough to make you croak…Trying to sell candy that tastes like vegetables…and asparagus to boot? Yeah, that definitely SUCKS. And these poor kids, CANDYce Bergen and her brother Edgar, underSTANDably find themselves a little STICK to their stomachs at the mere thought…STALK about a STICKY situation…Bob must take these kids for SUCKERS!…And by the looks on their faces, a barf-bag 🤮 might come in CANDY, I mean handy, ‘cause it’s obvious they’re not going to BITE…

And for some reason I have the feeling that I’m missing some pop culture reference about Bob and the farm…but in all honesty, I’m LICKed…Should it ring a bell with anyone, please STICK it in with your comment…

Be well, be kind, stay safe…And as we end another week on a SWEET note, this puzzle reminds me of my friend who started a lollipop business and was looking for a catchy name. I suggested something simple like “Lolli-Shop”, but he wanted to go bigger. I then suggested, “Lollipop-timal”, but he still wasn’t STUCK on it…I then said it might be cute to only cater to pops in the shape of little robots, and call it “WALL-E-Pops”…Still nothing…and TBT, I thought my suggestions were gifts…But thinking he was sLICK, my friend finally decided to go with “Lolli-FLOP”…Uh…Need I say more?   2. 🤦🏻‍♂️Working near the GULCH, the TORRID weather made him feel like he might CROAK, and after his encounter with an overly aggressive WEASEL, he decided that between the heat and the wildlife, for what they were paying hm, the job wasn’t WORTH A LICK…🤦🏻‍♂️

    🤷🏻‍♂️“The frog goes CROAK, the WEASEL chirps”…and so the story went,
    They lived out by the nearby GULCH, where the old trail was bent
    They liked the TORRID weather…all this was read by Dick…
    But try as he might, this here book? To him not WORTH A LICK…🤷🏻‍♂️

    Whether the taste should be left to fate…
    It’s the sweetness we crave,

    He’s just wasted his time,

    With no pops they can buy…

  6. Two jumbles in a row that got me rolling my eyes ! I had trouble with two anagrams ! The one , I had to CROAK and the other one was TORRID , which I had to look up that ones meaning and I don’t think I’ve ever used that word ! Anyway , the jumble had me also , about a lollipop and the letters didn’t jump right out at me ! Let’s hope we can cap this week tomorrow on Saturday ! And Angela as soon as I saw the jumble and clues the first song that came right out was your song Lollipop Lollipop by the Chordettes ! I’ll be ready Lickity Split !!!!!!

  7. Today’s solution came to me via a quick blind solve….WORTH A just popped into my brain, lickedy-split. Anagrams followed. I enjoyed Angela’s Lollypop store names, too. But the highlight of today’s post was listening to a Chordettes’s song…..man, alive, that’s some great harmony there, and a perfect choice for today. Enjoy your TGIF and see you Saturday. Terry
