  1. Good Morning, Everyone …💽 LEGS…RATTLE & ROLL 💽

    🎶 Let’s rock…Everybody, let’s rock…Everybody in the whole cell block was dancin’ to the JAILHOUSE ROCK…🎶..”Jailhouse Rock” – Elvis Presley 1957  https://tinyurl.com/vxeasamp

💽 Some parents in a PANIC, thinking Elvis COMMON fare,
They weren’t thrilled with his music, even his “Teddy Bear”…
Like DRIVEL ‘bout Chuck BERRY, yes, opinions easily poured…
And here we see these fans speaking ‘bout his CRIMINAL RECORD!💽

Ok, yes…Elvis Presley https://tinyurl.com/5n7uvd8d  had been arrested twice https://tinyurl.com/37symdtw before RECORDing this song…but that’s not the RECORD we’re concentrating on today…So any ill thoughts are a …”RETURN TO SENDER”…I’m going down the “DON’T BE CRUEL” road here…Granted, our PLAY on words covers both bases, but “MEMORIES” being what they are, I know there’s many of you out there who still have a “BURNING LOVE” for Elvis, or perhaps your “LITTLE SISTER” does…So, “A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION” about youthful 20 and 21 year old indiscretions? “THAT’S ALL RIGHT” with me…

So…Today, 1957. And Elvis’s “Jailhouse Rock” https://tinyurl.com/36a8uyn7 has just been released, the song from his movie of the same name… https://tinyurl.com/5n6r6t63. And with our young girls, ROCKie and ROLLsalie, speaking about his CRIMINAL behavior, (which prompted Ro’s father to nix the movie), while picking up his RECORD from the 45 bin, we start our Holiday weekend off with a 💥 BLAST…Our solve? …Fans were talking about Elvis’s …CRIMINAL RECORDhttps://tinyurl.com/2dvunptt (Phonograph RECORD –https://tinyurl.com/mwtjd7e6 ) And there was no reason at all to get “ALL SHOOK UP” over this one…It’s easy, it’s breezy, it’s an “IT’S NOW OR NEVER” solve…

Jeff’s💎Gems?  If you look closely, you can see where Jeff wrote “Jailhouse Rock” and 45rpm on the RECORD in Rockie’s hand. But aside from the ever ubiquitous knee socks of the time, she’s not the HIT here today…It’s ROLLsalie…I, for one, “CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE” with her “Poodle Skirt” https://tinyurl.com/ytam8naf which was de rigueur back then. Paired with the little scarf at her neck, it just screams the 50’s. https://tinyurl.com/mrxrwxhs  Too bad we can’t see if she’s wearing “BLUE SUEDE SHOES” …And I’ll go on RECORD to say that Jeff’s depiction of Elvis from the movie definitely gives a LEG up to our cartoon…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend who used to like to say that he was just like Elvis during his Army years…Seems they both were assigned to look for “SUSPICIOUS MINES”…💽🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️The DRIVEL about his CRIMINAL RECORD at first caused a slight sense of PANIC amongst the BERRY pickers, until it was established that it was nothing more than a COMMON misunderstanding…🤷🏻‍♂️

🍇🍓Every sort of BERRY was on the family’s plates,
‘Twas COMMON fare for them…and they enjoyed all that they ate…
So yes a bit of PANIC…DRIVEL to be ignored?
Or was it true their harvester had a CRIMINAL RECORD? 🍓🍇

  4. 👍🏻 Elvis came on the scene like a storm,
To some, his ways out of the norm…
    But oh…with those lips,
    Not to mention his hips…
His fans thrilled that he didn’t conform…👍🏻

🎶His music not really the cause,
That gave parents their reason to pause…
‘Twas those legs how they shook,
And by hook or by crook…
Elvis rallied against the dropped jaws…🎶

    ⭐️ A speeding ticket and a fight,
No way did diminish his light…
    The man was a star,
    He def raised the bar…
And for Elvis the future was bright…⭐️

🕺🏻“Jailhouse Rock” not his movie debut,
But with it how his following grew…
    The dance sequence on screen,
    Likes of never ‘fore seen…
    Called Elvis’s best in reviews…🕺🏻

👑 And today in our cartoon we see,
Two young fans as they definitely agree,
    That Elvis surely reigned,
    And for years he remained…
The King to the utmost degree…👑

  5. Nice way to cap the week , Saturday with Elvis Presley ! You have to admit , he definitely had his own talent that was unique and his music was very good ! So all the anagrams were there , but DRIVEL was a hard one ! The jumble with the record of Elvis and him dancing outside his jail cell , gave me his CRIMINAL RECORD ! I have to admit it was a little tough , but it came with the help of the cartoon and clues ! And what other song than Jailhouse Rock would work ! So everyone have a rockin weekend !!!!!

  6. Missed the answer to the Saturday Jumble. Had all the anagrams but didn’t pull out any words…even RECORD, which seems like a given. Haven’t been stumped like that for awhile…but I’ll march on. Have a great weekend and talk tomorrow. And yes, I can remember dancing to that song back in the 50’s….Just swell, man….really swell !! Terry

  7. Despite being a huge Elvis fan and recalling having bought the original jailhouse rock record on a 45 rpm vinyl way back when, the cartoon stumped me! Chuck,

  8. Good morning. I had to use my thinking cap this morning. The words were there with little trouble but the cartoon answer took a lot of time to get even though the clues were there in the drawing. After awhile it sunk in and I was able to come up with the answer. You didn’t disappoint with your only choice for the song Angela. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Glad you stuck with it…Yes, this one was a given! Tk you. Take care. 💽🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. No problems with the words. For the answer, CRIMINAL popped into my brain right away, so I easily solved it.
