  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🇺🇸THE HEIGHT OF RESPECT 🇺🇸

🎶 All gave some…SOME GAVE ALL…Some stood through for the Red, White and Blue, and SOME HAD TO FALL…And if you ever think of me, think of all your liberties and recall…Some gave all…🎶 “Some Gave All” – Billy Ray Cyrus 1992 https://tinyurl.com/y3s9fuh7

🇺🇸 The Obelisk stands very tall, it reaches for the sky,
The strength of it won’t TOPPLE…as years go passing by…
It’s made of granite, marble and a rock that’s known as gneiss,
It’s featured today as respect for those who paid the price…
At first it did ANNOY some folk, and building came to cease,
The money needed to PLUNK down just didn’t come with ease
But COMMON sense took hold and the respect became essential…
It took a lot of years…but end result? It’s MONUMENTAL! 🇺🇸

I don’t think today’s solve could be any easier…With WASHINGTON mentioned twice in our dialogue and again in our question, and with said question HIGHlighting its description, plus the image of the WASHINGTON https://tinyurl.com/2em8bsnz MONUMENT itself depicted…By GEORGE!…It was hardly a stretch to reach MONUMENTALhttps://tinyurl.com/s4anh6d2 And the construction crew pictured on the scaffolding is an added bonus…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. A Memorial Day puzzle…with today being the day set aside to pay homage to all those brave men and women who didn’t come home. Today isn’t the same as Veterans Day…it’s not meant to be a day of celebration. So using the word “Happy” as a preface to its greeting is out of place. Today wasn’t founded in joy, with the promise of bringing happiness each year. It’s a day of solemn contemplation over how high a price was paid for the freedom that we’re blessed with as Americans.…And in the spirit of that remembrance, I wish Everyone, especially those of our readers whose families were called upon to pay that ultimate price…a blessed, thoughtful Memorial Day. And May God continue to bless America…🇺🇸🙋🏻‍♀️

    I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦
AND I STAND FOR REFORM IN AMERICA 💔🇺🇸

    • Can’t believe it’s been thirty years since Billy Ray Cyrus came out with “Some Gave All”. I have solemn remembrance for all of those and their families who made the ultimate sacrifice in military service for our country. I personally lost a cousin in Viet Nam in October, 1968. At 21, really just starting out in life….

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️Their effort to reach a COMMON ground was about to TOPPLE, proving to be a MONUMENTAL undertaking…and the word ANNOY could hardly describe how he felt about being the one they chose to PLUNK right down in the middle of it all…🤦🏻‍♂️

🎸He sat with his guitar and did no more than PLUNK a string,
He thought that he could TOPPLE Folks over with what he’d bring…
But how it did ANNOY him that the most COMMON a song,
Sounded like some screechy nails upon a chalkboard…just so wrong
    He’s glad he didn’t purchase the guitar…it’s just a rental…
‘Cause wasting all that money? It’d prove too MONUMENTAL! 🎸

  3. Good morning to a new start of the week Monday! And a fine way to start it off ! One word did not ANNOY me ! The anagrams nor the jumble made me TOPPLE , and this jumble was a COMMON one that I like . After I solved the jumble , I went PLUNK and was done ! Speaking of the jumble , talking about a tall obelisk in Washington , the first word that came to me was MONUMENT , so I wrote it down and the only two letters left were AL . That did it ! What a great jumble-way to start the week ! Everyone have a great Monday !!!!

  4. Good morning. First off thank you Angela for your post today and great song which was a first time hearing it. The start of a new week was an easy one. I even had a blind solve to boot. Like most people the only word that was a little hitch in getting was Annoy. Other than that it was a speedy race to the finish. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. YW…Be well and stay safe out there…🇺🇸🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. My post will be very much in line with Paul’s, except ANNOY didn’t annoy me. Thanks for pointing out the solemn nature of the day…and how the word HAPPY doesn’t fit along side of it. Am unfamiliar with the song so I listened to it…Very appropriate today. Have a good holiday.

  6. An easy Memorial Day puzzle. Best wishes to one and all and fond memories to all our Veterans living or dead.
