  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…

🎨 FROM THE VERY START…THINGS WERE ALWAYS LOOKING UP 🎨

🎶…And your BACK’s to the WALL…there’s a lot to be learned…That wall could fall…But he’s got HIGH HOPES…He’s got high hopes…He’s got high apple pie IN THE SKY HOPES …🎶 “High Hopes” – Mr Frank Sinatra 1959 https://tinyurl.com/ys5d2ty3 *

🎨 When you enter and you look up and take in that first long GLANCE,
It’s enough to render most people to freeze within their stance,
There’s no way to DIVERT your eyes…SCENIC doesn’t come close,
The way it’s been described ranks with the most beautiful prose…
(Here SHRIMP and PASTRY just won’t work…despite them ANYHOW)
One must admit Michelangelo deserves the world’s great bow…
Pope Julius asked and he went forth…prepared the job to grapple…
And what paint spilt was cleaned up giving us the “PRISTINE” CHAPEL…🎨

Scene: 1512. The place: The Sistine CHAPEL…and its ceiling… https://tinyurl.com/2ma6ns9p Michelangelo, https://tinyurl.com/3jc7hwe3 Pope Julius II, https://tinyurl.com/mr42cdzb and the two women just MAID to give us our solve…Our dialogue…”You got all my paint drops out” …and their response: “We’ll leave it spotless…(ie) PRISTINE… https://tinyurl.com/mr27sv4c …plus the words”cleaned up” in our question? …Not to mention the Quotation marks? And if you look closely, you’ll see a series of 💥s drawn along the Chapel’s marble and colored stone floor https://tinyurl.com/33wumhy6 , attesting to the truth of the statement…After they cleaned up? It was a “PRISTINE” CHAPEL!

This cartoon? HOLY smokes! …The depiction of “The Last Judgment” https://tinyurl.com/2p86muzc that Pope Julius is gazing up at? https://tinyurl.com/223a6hsv Nicely done, Jeff. But looking closely and seeing the Signature Jumble “J” inscribed on the chimney, and the image of you right above the word can’t in the dialogue? https://tinyurl.com/2s4eahvd ** Priceless!…You’ve definitely MAID CEILING fans of us all!

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Be well, stay safe…and to paraphrase the words of that great Boston hit…🎶It’s more than a CEILING…🎶… https://tinyurl.com/2p9fek39 🎨🙋🏻‍♀️

    * …Yes, it’s a repeat. And a very recent one to boot…from just a week ago in fact…But it’s the very first thing that popped into my head, it fits the scenario quite well…and I’m sure I needn’t PAINT you a picture…it’s been a real lousy week…and so far it’s not getting much easier….So…🤷🏻‍♀️

** Enlarge the picture…you’ll be able to see it!

  3. 🤷🏻‍♀️ While preparing her SHRIMP dinner, she’d DIVERT her eyes away from the grill every once in a while, and GLANCE at her textbook opened to the chapter on the SISTINE CHAPEL and its SCENIC beauty…and since she had to study about Rome ANYHOW…she thought it the perfect time to snack on an Italian PASTRY! 🤷🏻‍♀️

🧁 They called him a SHRIMP growing up…it definitely was wrong,
He’d try to DIVERT every GLANCE…it went on for years long…
But things did change and ANYHOW…today he has his due,
He owns a PASTRY shop that overlooks a SCENIC view…
He bakes the sweetest delicacies, with peach and plum and apple…
And people throng to his shop…not far from the SISTINE CHAPEL! 🧁

  4. Good Sunday morning ! Wow ! The anagrams were tough ! I couldn’t get 3 of them ! GLANCE ,SHRIMP , ANYHOW the jumble was also tough ! I really tried ! Suzie looked at the cartoon and saw Michelangelo and she said it looks like the Sistine chapel and then said PRISTINE CHAPEL ! I said wow ! She got it and I was so happy ! I then looked up some information on the artist and he was born on my birthday in 1475 ! The song Angela was a good one ! Everyone have a great Sunday Funday !

  5. Was not wearing my thinking cap this morning and stumbled over an obvious word….that being PRISTINE, even after I mumbled about SISTINE while looking at the puzzle cartoon. Anagrams were all pretty easy and had the letters before me. Then spelled out CHAPEL, but went downhill after that. Your song, Angela, made up for it, though…and that was a pleasing finale for today’s Jumble !!! See you Monday.

  6. Loved the answer today!

I had no problems with the words. For the answer, CHAPEL was obvious. I had to think a bit to find the first word. Nice work on the puzzle!

  7. 🎨 With the Chapel and all its beauty,
It draws tourists as they come to see…
    Michelangelo’s art,
    Touches many a heart…
With the ceiling of pure majesty…🎨

    🎨 Michelangelo was a sculptor,
But The Pope asked of him so much more…
So he gave it his all,
    The results did enthrall…
‘Twas much more than the Pope had hoped for! 🎨

🎨 Almost five years it took to complete,
    End result…a magnificent feat…
It’s true art at its best,
    Anyone will attest…
There’s no painting can hardly compete…🎨

  8. Clever Sunday Punday. Saw “chapel” right away and the frantic cleaning scene gave way to “pristine”. Perfect song choice, Angela.

  9. Good morning. Got the words but gave up on the cartoon answer. To many other things on my mind today I guess. I didn’t even have a clue. Think it’s time to listen to Old Blue Eyes. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  10. A little late today with my offering but here we are:

It was a problem with the Sistine ceiling
Though the artwork was very appealing
    With buckets and mops
    Cleaning up the paint drops
That’s the work with which they were dealing!
