Good Morning, Everyone…. 🤷🏻♀️HIRE EDUCATION? 🤷🏻♀️
🎶 Did you ever have to MAKE UP YOUR MIND?…Pick up on one and leave the other one behind…It’s not often easy, and not often kind..Did you ever have to make up your mind? Did you ever have to FINALLY DECIDE?…Say yes to one and let the other one ride…🎶 “Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind”? – The Lovin’ Spoonful 1965 https://tinyurl.com/yuza6vme
🤷🏻♀️ She feels no sense of PANIC, takes a Bully PULPIT stance,
She’s figuring she’ll LOUNGE around before she takes her chance…
She doesn’t yet have baggage…no CARGO yet incurred,
So she’s still free to search for what it is will get her spurred
But soon she’ll need to decide where in life she’ll find her station…
She can’t keep changing up like this…Too much PREOCCUPATION! 🤷🏻♀️
For me, after reading the question, it was the Father’s dialogue that automatically summed it up. No sooner did I read…”Make a CAREER out of picking CAREERS”…there was no need to go any further. The puzzle concentrates on the senior in High School daughter’s future OCCUPATION, and since our question gives us “eventually”, and the girl’s heard to be still up in the air with her choice…There it was …She’s PREOCCUPIED with it…And it became her…PREOCCUPATION! A double whammy! And the daughter’s comment? It’s not often that we see so much dialogue from one character…Jeff definitely did a JOB on this one! From a 3-D programmer https://tinyurl.com/yckkrzpm to an orthodontist? From a way of GUMMING, I mean Gaming to treating teeth? Phew! This girl is really planning to take a BITE out of life!… And the use of SPATIAL RELATIONS? https://tinyurl.com/ycy72t4d I really enjoyed that one! All in all our solve today is a brilliant play on words..And it just reinforces how good David and Jeff are at their JOBS…
And maybe a little off topic, but I couldn’t help but notice the difference in the parents’ reactions. Mothers, with their unconditional love, always seem to wholeheartedly encourage their children…even when they’re not quite convinced that they’re being…uh…rational. But “rational” is what we usually get from our Fathers. More realistic…the love’s definitely there, no doubt about that, but pie-in-the-sky is just not their forte…You gotta love the yin and yang of this conversation. My hat’s off to whoever penned today’s dialogue…
…And as our girl sits there in her “Class of ‘22” T-Shirt, easily musing over “finding her path”, * one of her younger brothers is PREOCCUPIED with getting her room…and he’s already calling dibs…Gotta give him credit…no INDECISION with this kid!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well…stay safe, and this puzzle made me question whether or not I’m indecisive at times…But I can never tell…Maybe…I’m just not sure…🤷🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
* And just to even the playing field…According to surveys, an estimated 20 to 50 percent of students enter college as undecided, and an estimated 75 percent of students change their major at least once before graduation….So…There you go! 🤷🏻♀️
Angela rocks!
Fun Thursday J with mostly easy anagrams and a fun solution.
Tks, Mig. 🙋🏻♀️
⛪️ His PREOCCUPATION was with the CARGO still strewn about the LOUNGE area, and he was starting to PANIC since the Bishop and his entourage had to pass though there to get to the PULPIT…⛪️
🙇🏻♂️ They lost a lot of CARGO, and some PANIC settled in,
He stood upon the ship’s PULPIT but kept his feelings in…
The crew had finally stopped to LOUNGE…he’d dread to cause ruination…
But try as he might it loomed large…this tough PREOCCUPATION! 🙇🏻♂️
🤷🏻♀️ Still not certain of what she might do,
She just daydreamed…what would she pursue?
Off to College in Fall,
She need be on the ball…
Or her whole Freshman year may fall through! 🤷🏻♀️
🤷🏻♂️Went from graphics and then on to teeth,
And what wisdom could her Folks bequeath?
Mom says, “It’ll be fine”….
But Dad’s thinking ‘bout time…
As he tries keeping worry beneath…🤷🏻♂️
🤷🏻♀️ Indecision, yes sometimes the norm,
But our girl’s soon to be off to dorm…
Will uncertainly loom?
Will Jr get her room?
Lots of questions around them do swarm! 🤷🏻♀️
Good morning thirsty-Thursday ! I wish it was warm enough to crave a nice cold raspberry lemonade , but it’s been so cold the last 2 days ! The anagrams were there for me , but I didn’t PANIC , even though I had a little tough time with that one ! If I was a speaker, I would be telling you all this from a PULPIT . So this jumble was not a heavy CARGO . I just enjoyed getting to LOUNGE awhile I solved it ! The first word that came to me was OCCUPATION and the only letters left were PRE , so it came right out ! Her mind was really in a PREOCCUPATION mode to find what her career will be ! Everyone have a great thirsty Thursday !!!
Good Morning, Jim. You too…🙋🏻♀️
My “PREOCCUPATION” with this jumble didn’t have me in a “PANIC” as it gave me the chance to share on the Bully “PULPIT” in a jumble forum, in my “CARGO” pants while I “LOUNGE” in my home to tell all my jumble friends how tuff I thought this one was for me, but I worked through it to say – until tomorrow – everyone have a sunny day.!
Wishing you the same, Suz. 🙋🏻♀️
For today’s Thursty Thursday, a lucky blind solve this morning…followed by pretty easy anagrams. I always like that combination!!!! Not familiar with song, Angela, but always know your on top of it.
Tks, Terry 🙋🏻♀️
Hi Everyone – No problem with the answer, but I had to back into Pulpit. Cargo was a very recent Wordle, which helped me get that word. Wonderful puzzle and dialogue. Perfect song choice, Angela.
Tk you, Caroline. 🙋🏻♀️
A 13-letter word! Not too many of those around. The most common one is INTERNATIONAL. There aren’t any other anagrams of this but if one considers multi-word solutions, they show a story about her attempts to find an occupation, or a PREOCCUPATION. She went out one day wearing a PORCUPINE COAT, and after a POUNCE on an APRICOT, she went to a COPPER AUCTION but a policeman warned her of the hazards of going there; he was a PRECAUTION COP. She found her calling after she saw a piper making music by piping on a cocoanut. She became a COCOANUT PIPER.
Anagrams were a snap as was the cartoon answer even w the many letters which usually give me a problem.I’m an avid Cleveland Indians (not Guardians) fan, and ask “Will they ever win another game?” A Chief Wahoo fan!
Go Indians ! Not guardians ! I’m with ya ! Been an Indians and browns fan , long time !
You and me both, I have been a Browns season ticket holder as well.
