  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🎳 STRIKING IT RICH 🎳

    🎶 ALLEY-Oop, oop, oop, oop-oop..ALLEY oop…🎶 ..”Alley Oop” – The Hollywood Argyles 1960  https://tinyurl.com/559fzh2b

🎳 Life’s harder for a lefty, things get SHAKEN up at times,

And often you’ll hear jokes made that try to undermine…

It’s IDIOCY of course because they JUGGLE just the same…

By that I mean with tasks in life…as we see in our frame…

Earl Anthony so rarely SPLINT…oh, split is what I meant,

And others envied his prowess…while making not a dent…

INWARD they awed and marveled …but not always could they QUENCH,

Thoughts of how he kept on scoring…while they still sat on the bench

Yes, I’ve mixed up my sports lingo…these words? Bit hard to tally…

But Earl and left-hand bowling? Easily RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY!  🎳

When this solve first appeared, back on July 15th, 2012, the question was: “He started bowling because he thought it would be this”…A bit of a different sPIN that day, but of course just like today, ALLEY needed was to think of what word follows “Bowling”…Sort of like how “dressing” follows “TURKEY”…

Earl Anthony, https://tinyurl.com/3p679tj7 the PBA https://tinyurl.com/mr3s4prc Hall of Famer featured today, never thought he’d STRIKE it rich being a bowler. But he was the first one to earn over a million dollars. And keep in mind, his career ended back in 1997. Definitely puts a different sPIN on things…Who knows what he’d be worth if he was competing in today’s market…In poker terms? Pretty sure there’d be nothing LEFT on the table…

Hmm..Seems that I’ve mixed Bowling, with Baseball, and Poker. I guess I’m on some sort of a sports ROLL here today…

Ok…Let’s get this BALL ROLLING…First at our FINGERTIPS…our words…And I’m pretty sure there was no need to BACKEND to any of them…

So…Left-handed bowlers. Not really uncommon, but there hasn’t been much more than a HANDful that have made it to the top in professional bowling…and Earl Anthony pretty much got the BALL ROLLING…And as our dialogue’s telling us, he always LEFT the others in OR…You know, thinking …Right OR Left…But it just came naturally to him…it was …RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY…. https://tinyurl.com/3ckmsezx …And ALLEY needed to do to PIN down this solve today was to have kept your eye on the BALL…And with the right APPROACH, I’m sure you’ve SPAREd yourself any grief…So, with no reason to feel you’ve been FRAMEd… https://tinyurl.com/ckumkr79 there should be no BOWLing your eyes out now…Tough one? GUTTERly ridiculous…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend who wanting to make some SPARE change got a job at a bowling alley…Not for long though…he was only TENPIN…🎳🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤦🏻‍♂️The realization that he needed to QUENCH his INWARD obsession with multi-tasking, (since it obviously wasn’t RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY), dawned on him a little too late…as his attempt to JUGGLE one too many a task left him SHAKEN…and his IDIOCY caused him to now need a SPLINT for his injured wrist…🤦🏻‍♂️

🍸He so enjoyed martinis, always SHAKEN, never stirred,
They did a lot to QUENCH his thirst…when the need did occur…
But one too many may have brought some IDIOCY to light,
When using way too short a SPLINT to light a fire tonight…
He tried to JUGGLE it around…first INWARD and then out,
Resulting in no more than getting singed from sparks about
And now his INWARD thoughts tell him this constant dilly-dally…
Has proven gin and camping out? So not RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY! 🍸

  4. 🫱🏻Lefties make up about 10 percent
    Of our country’s people…mostly gents…
Not a lot, that’s for sure,
    But of course they endure…
Though a lot of tasks take different bents…🫱🏻

🤷🏻‍♂️In a world seemed to cater to “rights”,
There are some things that may cause a slight…
    …Different way to proceed,
    But they always succeed…
So it’s not like it causes a plight…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♀️Comes to writing it sometimes looks odd,
There’s no need though for any facade…
    And when dining, it’s true,
    Tables not set for you…
Just the way it is with left-hand bods…🤷🏻‍♀️

👍🏻Today Earl Anthony takes the stage,
‘Twas a time he was all the game’s rage…
    Bowling with his left hand,
    He took quite a grandstand…
    Always keeping onlookers engaged…👍🏻

🎳 He went on to attain Bowling fame,
Being one of the best at the game…
    And remembered now still,
As the “top of the hill”…
For he surely made himself a name…🎳

  5. The importance of the day is that it’s a CHOCOLATE COVERED XXXXX DAY !! Yummy. Thought that ALLEY might be last word, and UP HIS sounded like it would proceed that….so a nice Sunday blind solve. Anagrams followed easily. Fun little song…and so appropriate for today. Interesting post, Angela…and yes, I’m one of those lefty bowlers !! Terry

  6. Being an avid former bowler and a huge Earl Anthony fan, today’s Jumble was a quick solve despite the extra anagrams and letters! Chuck.

  7. What a Funday Sunday ! I can’t believe I got all the anagrams and didn’t have any trouble with any of them ! A very positive Sunday ! Most Sundays are a little tough ! Now the jumble with bowling words , ALLEY came right to me ! The other three then came with a strike ! They were RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY ! This had to be one of the best Sunday jumbles I’ve done ! And Angela , the song choice is a memorable classic ! Great choice ! Let’s start another week tomorrow like this week !!!!

  8. Good afternoon. Can’t believe I didn’t post, I started to but got interrupted a couple of times with phone calls and when I finally got back to what I was doing, I realized I didn’t do what I set out to do !! I didn’t find the words easy to get but stayed with it until I got them all. Maybe because I was distracted so much l failed to strike at the heart of the answer and caved in to find the solution. Looking at it I see it should have been right up my alley. Speaking of alley, I did enjoy your song choice Angela and your post. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Afternoon, Paul. Thank you…And you might not have gotten the answer, but you did manage to get a few bowling terms in there! 👏🏻👏🏻! Take care…enjoy your day. 🎳🙋🏻‍♀️
