Ok…Today’s puzzle brings us to “TENNIS The Menace” Tennis Club….And we SEED Otis, the club pro, in discussion with one of his students, VOLLEY Golightly, right after her Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Having heard beFOREHAND that Otis has decided to leave, she’s hoping he’s not SET to go any time soon…but as we can SEED from our dialogue, at this POINT he’s ready…and we can’t FAULT him…Because no matter how you SLICE it, the club did nothing to STROKE his ego…They would CHANGE UP his hours, LETting him know the last minute,…and all after he’d SERVED them so well. No wonder he’s fit to be TIEd..BREAKing away is the only way OUT…. So, his letter of resignation is written…his thumb is pointed outwards, and it seems like no amount of LOBbying now will change his mind…And after this last lesson…sadly it’s ALL SET…Otis is fed up…and he’s decided the time has COME to SERVE NOTICE… https://tinyurl.com/3j7n4ttc …And LET us SHANK David for going so easy on us once again…It’s NET every day that we get such a STRING of easy puzzles…
Oh..and the player at back? .Poor guy,…he looks like he’s about to have a STROKE…

She had heard his friends call him “The Love Machine” for so long, and was so imPRESSed… But it turned out he just sucked at tennis…🎾🙋🏻♀️

They weren’t met with VENOM, but it left them with some doubt

His displeasure feeling undermined…🎾

He felt stymied…like caught in a net…
The club’s owners were terse,
About why they’d reverse…
His schedule…with no regret…🤷🏻♂️
🙇🏻♂️He stayed mum for as long as he could,
But let’s face it…he’s not made of wood….
And as the time went by,
He felt his hands were tied…
And things just didn’t go as they should…🙇🏻♂️

My initial thought was LEAVE XXXXXX and ran out of ideas….so unscrambled the anagrams and found no “L”. So went to plan B and made the solve. Like the LOVE MACHINE joke. Thanks for the nice post, Angela. Terry

well hello thirsty-Thursday ! Just a quick comment today , from recuperating from yesterday’s birthday ! I was cold in getting ICIER , and GENTRY , but after the letters came I was still off the court ! Angela , your description of Tennis the menace and Otis , the whole comment was very cool ! It was so Pun ! I used to play tennis , and it was a very energizing sport ! You just got to make sure you wear the right apparel and fabric and stay away from Court-a-Roy ! Ok let’s get ready for Friday TGIF ! Everyone have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!!!
