    💲They sit in Ivory Towers, and ALLEGE they’re justified,
    To raise prices at every whim, and do it all with pride…
    Acting like GENTRY of days past, hands MUDDY they know not,
    (And here BERET won’t cap it off…it doesn’t fit the plot)…
    But average Joes who dine out…find themselves now in great need…
    Of deeper pockets just because the five GREEDY AGREED! 💲

    My Father always taught us to never confuse our net worth with our self-worth…but I guess these five restaurant board members never learned the lesson…Sort of a ROOT vegetable thing vs the ROOT of all evil thing…

    Anyway…Today we see the Board members of a company that shall remain SHAMELESS, sitting around a TABLE, voting on whether or KNOT to approve a 10% upcharge on their menu items. And the STEAKS are high…And with a unanimous show of hands, one guy even MEATing it with a thumbs up to his seat mate…they hand the price increase on to us…joking the whole THYME….”Have to EAT that up”…”That’s RICH, just like us”. The dialogue showing how blatantly evident the GREED is …Let’s face it, there’s no other RAISIN…And with all five hands in the HEIR? Total AGREEment! They’ll just raise the prices on our menu items…our steaks, our root vegetables, our seafood, our desserts…Unjust desserts in this case…and break our CHOPS…And if we have a BEEF with it all? Well, I guess we’ll just have to stay HUMM…US and our families…while others, with a little more CASH…EW get my point. And sadly, there’s no way to BEET them, I SOUPpose…’Cause the GREEDY AGREED, and as for us? Our GOOSE is cooked.. Just a case of another one bites the CRUST…and we’re just left PUDDING up with it…

    So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a GOUDA one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…ROMAINE calm, and try not to get too MELONcholy over all this. LETTUCE hope that things will start to TURNIP looking BATTER, prices come down, and we all find some inner PEAS…It’s the YEAST we can hope for…💲🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 💲The GREEDY AGREED very quickly that the situation with the members of the GENTRY over the coveted red BERET had gotten very MUDDY…and they went on to further ALLEGE that it was stolen…

    🤷🏻‍♂️The people who have money feel that taxes should remain,
    The way they are at present throughout the state of Maine…
    Perceiving they are GENTRY, they go on to ALLEGE,
    That they don’t see themselves as having so much of an edge…
    While a poor sap digs ditches, BERET cocked on his head,
    Comes home tired and MUDDY from the job he mostly dreads
    But with the taxes he must pay, and seven mouths to feed…
    He wonders how that 1 percent always GREEDY AGREED…🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. Good thirsty-Thursday ! Today’s anagrams were a little MUDDY ! I had to put my jumble BERET on and call the jumble GENTRY to help with ALLEGE , cause I didn’t get it ! Now the jumble took me a while ! I wrote down GREEDY a and the letters left were DREHAE , so I’m glad I was wearing my jumble BERET cause I finally saw AGREED , but I still wasn’t 100% sure , so I looked and it was right ! Whew ! I hope this wasn’t consistent going into this weekend ! I’m ready for Friday ! Everyone have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!! Good song Angela !

    With no thought of the average Joe Jones…
    I say, “Guys…take a break,
    For the common man’s sake…
    ‘Cause right now we’re this close 🤏🏻to bare bones”! 🙇🏻‍♂️

    💲When it’s money that’s fueling the fire,
    And the situation it starts to get dire….
    Mere mortals are stuck,
    To come up with the bucks…
    Beware! The word given to buyer! 💲

    🤦🏻‍♀️Making jokes at the people’s expense,
    Bottom line it don’t take a sixth sense…
    10% the upcharge,
    But the truth…by and large?
    It puts people up against the fence! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    🤷🏻‍♂️ Dining out, once a pleasure for all,
    Only lately it tends to appall…
    With the prices so high,
    It’s now pie in the sky…
    And no longer something that enthralls! 🤷🏻‍♂️

    🤦🏻‍♀️ With the Board voting yes to the greed,
    Disregarding the average man’s need…
    They just add to their coffers,
    While the public it offers?
    Just one more dilemma, indeed! 🤦🏻‍♀️

  8. Well, sometimes it just happens….I speedily solved anagrams, which left a whole bunch of letters I couldn’t put together. We’ll just have to wait for tomorrow. Y’all enjoy your Thursday !!!

        • I can’t believe I had to SPELL it out! 😂 I thought it would have been the first thing anyone mentioned this morning! 🤷🏻‍♀️

          • I try not to be too critical. As one who does a lot of writing and most of the editing of my own work, I know how things slip through. A missing letter at the end of a word is not as severe as a grammatical goof – and there are lots of those.

            • Ah…obviously you don’t know me. It wasn’t criticism at all…and I doubt anyone’s taking it as such. It’s simply a PLAY on WORD! 🙋🏻‍♀️
