    • Good Morning, Everyone…🏡 MAKING A LAWN STORY SHORT🏡

🎶 One can wish upon a star, TWO can make a wish come true, yeah…One can stand alone in the dark…TWO can make a light shine through…It takes TWO, Baby…It takes TWO…just me and you….🎶…””It Takes Two” – Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston 1966 https://tinyurl.com/4p5a6wp9

🏡 A yard well-taken care of will THRIVE, as one can see,
The landscaping at this home is perfected to a T…
So if those two think they can just WALTZ in and have their way,
Well think again…the owner might blow a GASKET today
She’d SWOON if her pristine layout was ruined…should these guys shirk…
      Responsibility…let’s hope not…as they GET “TWO” WORK…🏡

Ok…There’ll be no need for HEDGING with this one…it’s way too CUT and dry…

So…Today, two brothers: Sy, (short for CYPRESS), and FRASER, the new owners of “Double Trouble Lawncare”. And one can’t help but wonder what was going through their minds when they came up with that name…I mean did they SEED between the lines? Did they TURF the net for it? Or was it just TROWEL and error? IDK…It seems like they just SHRUBed it off, IMO. There’s definitely MUSHROOM for improvement…It’s kind of a BUSH league DECIDUOUS, I mean decision, if you ask me…Let’s face it, Folks…trouble’s the last thing one looks for when maintaining their property….I somehow don’t see them RAKING in the GREEN with a name like that…and I really don’t think MULCH of it…But I diGRASS…I titled this hoping to keep it short…and I SEED that I’m failing, SOW maybe it’s best I just LEAF it alone…I’ve SOD enough…SOW let’s just CUT to the chase…

Our solve? …A bed of roses…With our question giving us “identical TWINS“ = TWO, and our dialogue: “Are you READY” * …and “Let’s do this” = GET TO WORK….Plus the quotation marks telling us that a play-on-words has been PLANTED. …It’s right there for the RAKING…GRASS ROOTS, Folks…They were ready to…GET “TWO” WORKhttps://tinyurl.com/bdfuyjzz

Jeff’s Gems? The business’s logo…A smiling Sy and Fraser giving thumbs up…aside a lawnmower…and we see Sy with a leaf blower, as Fraser‘s removing a mower from the truck, where a rake hangs to its side…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I’ll LEAF you with a conversation I had last Spring with my neighbor…I was busy kneeling, planting my garden, when he walked over and asked what I was doing…And since I’m kind of obsessive compulsive, I told him that I was planting my herbs in ALPHABETICAL order….”Really”, he said…”I don’t know how you find the TIME”…To which i answered…”It’s right there next to the SAGE”…Give it a minute….🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

      * …And yes, the word READY does appear in both our question and our dialogue. It’s no big deal…SOW, I’m CLIPPING it in the BUD…FOREST is what it is.. There’s no PLOT thickening here…As long as the word’s not part of the solution, WEED needn’t worry…🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🙇🏻‍♂️He felt he might SWOON when faced with the task of learning to WALTZ…knowing he’d never THRIVE at dancing…and was ready to blow a GASKET when the instructor said..”GET TO WORK”…🙇🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♀️She thought that she could do it, replace the GASKET worn,
She did a slow WALTZ round the car…starting to feel forlorn..
She’d gone online, she watched a reel…but THRIVE?…she had her doubts,
The cost at the repair shop though…just made her SWOON about…
But realizing she’d bitten off too much…her and her quirks…
She packed it in and faced the fact..no way she’d GET TO WORK! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    • 🌲Two brothers decided to make,
A business with blower and rake…
      They figured together,
      They’d deal with the weather…
And hopefully get their big break…🌲

🚙 So seeding and planting began,
They bought themselves a little van…
But the name that they chose,
      Caused some questions to pose…
And one wondered if they really planned…🚙

      🤷🏻‍♂️Double Trouble…not exactly wise,
Guaranteed that some Folks will surmise…
      That they’re not serious,
      It’s just mysterious…
But it’s what’s chosen by these two guys…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤞🏻So they’re ready to give it a go,
With their mower and spade and a hoe…
      Hopefully they’ll find fame,
      In spite of their name…
And they’ll get to see their business grow…🤞🏻

💲Keep in mind, Folks, landscaping ain’t cheap,
And you want pristine lawns that’ll keep…
      Let the buyer beware,.
When it comes to lawn care?
What they sow for you is what you’ll reap! 💲

    • It was a nice easy start to the week. No need to blow a gasket today!

    • I am blessed with 2 wonderful sons and 3 great grandsons. Chuck.

  2. Yes, a nice way to start a Monday….I won’t say the puzzle was particularly easy, but I did manage a blind solve, and yes, I peeked over the anagrams for a moment. Thought maybe TWO might be part of the solution and I was right. Had not heard of your excellent song choice, but definitely a nice Motown “wake-me-upper”. As always, very poetic musings. Thanks, Angela. Terry

  3. Good morning. Another easy start for the work week. The first three words required no thinking whatsoever. You looked at the word and it was an instant read. The last word required some thought like the cartoon as there was no blind solve. I was hung up on mow being the first word. Loved your post and song choice Angela. I had multiple smiles reading all your puns. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Thank you. Always happy to hear that I give you a smile. Take care. 🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Nice start of the week , Monday! The anagrams came to me as fun and entertaining as always ! And the jumble speaking of twins , meaning two with a new job (work) , they knew they had to GET TWO WORK ! I loved it ! Great way to start the week off ! And Angela , I think I gave your ending with your neighbor the TIME , thinking of the song , Parsley , Sage , Rosemary and Thyme ! Your song was so good , I’ve always liked that one ! Great choice ! So bring on taco-Tuesday !!!!!

  5. Anagrams were a snap as was the cartoon solution with ‘two’ an obvious choice for the second word in quotes, though I was originally thinking ‘mow’ in the solution as well. Chuck.

  6. Hi, all. Usually I just lurk, but today was confusing at first til I figured out the problem and wanted to share, hoping that you can explain how it happened. I do the daily jumble via the Chicago Tribune site but had done a different jumble than you all. When I checked back, discovered that I had done the regular daily one and you had done the one in color. That’s not usual for you, is it? What website do you use? How did this happen?

    Sandy

  7. Loved today’s clever solves, got them all happily. Had to laugh at pun “time” next to sage. 😄👏👏Thanks for good Jumble today, and everyday! N
