    • Good Morning, Everyone… 🥛☕️URNING THEIR KEEP! ☕️🥛

      🎶 Only the beginning, I’m only getting started…I don’t mind the digging…Baby, I’ll work harder…I’ve been WASHING DISHES…🎶 “Washing Dishes” – Jack Johnson 2013 http://tinyurl.com/5n8rb3zd

☕️🥛The VENUE is a pretty one, cruise dining’s always grand,
Besides the meals the snacking’s great…the SALSA does command…
You sit and SWIVEL side to side, take in the sea and sky…
No way you feel the STRESS that the drink servers can’t deny…
For sure they’re elbow-deep in all the objects they must wrestle…
It def can’t be smooth-sailing toting all the VESSEL’S VESSELS!🥛☕️

VESSELS. One of those words, defined as being a homophone, http://tinyurl.com/2b4wamrc that I’m sure leave people learning ESL wanting to jump SHIP… I’ll tell you aBOAT what transpired earlier with the Early Birds. Four of them got our solve right off the BOAT, I mean the bat, as I did. Two others went on aBOUT the use of only 4 letters…in a 14 letter answer…which didn’t come into play for me because I never solve the words first…but I had to admit, a very good observation. And another two were a little AT SEA aBOAT VESSELS referring to glassware, etc. Hmm…Said they didn’t think they’d ever heard that usage…and just couldn’t seem to DRINK it all in…to which the rest of our CREW just gave a collective sigh…No, English isn’t a second language for either of them…they were both born right here in the USA…But the whole thing with them aBOAT the words VESSEL and VESSEL just made me think of how difficult it must be for those trying to master our language…And also how there’s always someone rocking the BOAT and making WAVES when it comes to these guys…And yes, there definitely are times when I swear I could DECK one or two of them…YACHT I still love them just the same…Anyway…as far as our solve goes, it’s hardly a SEAcret that I found it not only easy breezy, but very clever….And I could definitely PITCHER myself using it in the future…OK, enough of me going on aBOAT this…let’s get down to WORK…We should be able to SAIL through this one in no time….

Ok…Today our puzzle puts us on a VESSEL, and takes us out on the water, where VESSELS used to hold water, and various other liquids, are what’s being featured…It’s most likely late afternoon, since our VESSELS are showing that coffee, beer and as far as that back table goes, wine and cocktails are being SERVED…And we SEA two harried wait-staff personnel, SEAlena Gomez, toting a coffee setup with a still steaming carafe, and Sam WATERston, carrying two trays laden with said VESSELS…And TBT, there’s really not much to say in the way of solving this one. Our question gave us the cruise ship = A VESSEL, plus the various items of dinnerware = VESSELS…and our cartoon definitely SET THE TABLE for us…with both the visual and the dialogue of…”This crowd is THIRSTY” …All the said GLASSware was the … VESSEL’S VESSELS! http://tinyurl.com/pzcdrfj5 …And once again, I raise my GLASS to the wit and creativity that is David.

…And last, but definitely NAUT least…Jeff’s Gem…That ubiquitous, yet endearing Signature Sinking Sailboat…Only this time it’s noticed by a gentleman who looks to be a ship’s officer…It’s rare that we SEA anyone actually BUOYed by its presence…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And right now I think I need to get to my own cleanup…’cause it seems like something’s wrong with my glassware…it’s all out of SINK…and it DAWNed on me that I probably need to stop letting it all pile up like this…it’s too WHISKy…In fact I really became upset a few minutes ago when I found a CHIP in one of my good drinking glasses…I’m trying so hard to cut down on SALT…But maybe I’ll just have another CUP of coffee first…I don’t think anyone will CARAFE I do…☕️🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🍻Amongst the novelties of the new VENUE, dubbed the “VESSEL’S VESSELS”, a houseware emporium set up to mimic a cruise ship, the addition of a small lounge with bistro tables and SWIVEL chairs, serving beer, chips and SALSA, did much to STRESS the uniqueness of it…🍻

🤷🏻‍♂️The VENUE did seem perfect, the SALSA was divine,
So SWIVEL now between it and the ship with the best wine
They had to pick a place soon, and with the STRESS they wrestled…
It might just come down to the one with the best VESSEL’S VESSELS! 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • 🥃 It’s great to be out on a cruise,
All the food…not to mention the booze…
      Glassware piles up,
      From breakfast til sup…
      It’s amazing the amount that’s used…🥃

🍺With a ship hosting thousands of guests,
And the daily drink number requests….
      Glasses amass real quick,
      And waiter’s bailiwick…
Can easily rise to a crest…🍺

🤦🏻‍♀️ And the waitstaff is kept on its toes,
      Serve one party…another’s arose…
      But they balance their trays,
      There’s no time for malaise…
      They’re quite busy…that’s how the job goes…🤦🏻‍♀️

🙇🏻‍♂️But after the pitchers and cups,
      Are collected after every sup..
      It’s a dishwasher’s lot,
      Here we thicken the plot…
Dirty vessels can never back up…🙇🏻‍♂️

👅And of course this is all tongue-in-cheek,
Washing glassware is not for the meek…
      There’s no doing by hand,
      Since the number’s so grand…
Which makes our dialogue so unique! 👅

  2. No-hump Wednesday ! Wow ! This one was very interesting and fun ! And I agree that David and Jeff were right on this one , so I’ll raise s glass to them also ! All the anagrams were right there ! Now , the jumble with 6 S’s , 4 E’s , out of 14 letters , and left 2 L’ s and 2 V ‘ s , I immediately thought this has to be 2 identical words ! And when I saw the ship and all the bottles and containers, it came right out VESSELS ! What a cool jumble ! And as I said they put this together quite well ! And again , Angela your post was complete and positive ! So come on thirsty-Thursday and let’s have another great jumble !!!!!

  3. My first thought was XXXXXXX GLASSES, but then spotted the V’s in the anagrams which led to the blind solve. Yes, very clever. Angela…do you ALWAYS come up with the Jumble answer without doing the anagrams?? I mean ALWAYS ?? WOW…’nuff said about your excellent wordsmithing !! And thanks for a wonderfullly interesting post today. Terry

  4. Good morning. Not much thinking had to be done on the words or cartoon answer but no blind solve. Until tomorrow take care.

  5. S’s galore in today’s Jumble. After a stumble on salsa the multitude of S’s and V’s led to a quick solve of the cartoon. Our weather has been crazy, 78 degrees yesterday and 15 degrees this morning with winds gusting above 30 mph. At least it’s sunny! Chuck.

  6. The VENUE caused STRESS, so he sat on a SWIVEL chair and ate a taco with SALSA.

Third day in a row of easy ones. I always love the ones with repeat words.
