    • Good Morning, Everyone… ❌ A SPELLING D

      🎶 MARK MY WORDS…that’s all that I have… MARK MY WORDS…give you all I got…MARK MY WORDS…MARK MY WORDS…🎶 “Mark My Words” – Justin Bieber 2015 http://tinyurl.com/48tn7m24

❌ Anita held the paper. her hand SWEATY as she said,
She wished she had remembered….and how now she’s feeling dread…
So SORRY that she did COMMIT this sin of child’s omission,
She DRANK in thoughts of how this might put her out of commission
Her parents not the type to hear excuses so absurd…
      As “I forgot”…and figures she’ll be hearing…”MARK MY WORDS”…❌

Today, an elementary school classroom, and a young girl, Anita Littlehelp, handing in a test paper that she’s convinced is a disaster…which will probably get her grounded. And as we can tell by her teacher, Mr Red Meltin’s dialogue, and the pile of already MARKED papers on his desk, (the top one reading -3), this Spelling Test was a major FAIL..And of the seven WORDS in question, the only one we see that Anita got correct was the last one, “Jumble”. And the first six: (if you look closely at her paper), Junior, Success, Essay, Raise, Umbrella, and Rescue, are destined to be MARKED in the same manner as that of her classmates….Wrong. So as Anita is asking the teacher…MARK MY WORDS…he’s agreeing with and assuring her that yes, as he’s now facing a shortage of ink…she’s definitely using the RIGHT WORD with disaster…He too is saying…”MARK MY WORDS”…. http://tinyurl.com/4b3fhn76 And with our puzzle complete…the TEST is history…Here’s hoping that subject isn’t up next!

Jeff’s Gem? Anita’s graphic tee, sports a picture of Louise Belcher, http://tinyurl.com/2d9kb4ws the youngest daughter of the Belcher Family, main characters of the animated sitcom, “Bob’s Burgers” … http://tinyurl.com/3cp8yku9

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of a friend of mine, whose wife lost out on two jobs because her resume was riddled with spelling errors. Trying to console her, he told her not to feel so bad, that she should embrace her mistakes…So she hugged him…Give it a minute…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🤦🏻‍♂️Knowing he’d have to COMMIT sooner or later, he was SORRY he put it off for so long…and became SWEATY as he DRANK in the MARK MY WORDS comments he’d heard and ignored…🤦🏻‍♂️

🙇🏻‍♂️He sat and DRANK real SORRY now that he failed to COMMIT,
His palms became all SWEATY wondering how he’d deal with it…
He wasted so much time thinking it was all for the birds…
Despite his Father warning him…by saying “MARK MY WORDS”…🙇🏻‍♂️

    • 🗣️When a child’s first learning to spell,
It’s all rote and the child need dwell,
On each word a few times,
      Perhaps make a few rhymes…
Have they sunken in? A test will tell…🗣️

      🤷🏻‍♀️ Our Anita was preoccupied,
Disappointment now no way to hide…
      ‘Twas no studying done,
      And when testing begun…
She just sat there with eyes opened wide…🤷🏻‍♀️

🙇🏻‍♀️ At a loss as to how she would spell,
Today’s words she bid passing farewell…
She knew her goose was cooked,
      Because she overlooked…
Her studying…now no way to quell…🙇🏻‍♀️

🙇🏻‍♀️…That feeling that she’s out of luck,
Results of her passing the buck…
      And her parents she knows,
      Will sure impose…
Some discipline that she can’t duck…🙇🏻‍♀️

🗒️ So the lesson we learn here today…
      Conscientiousness need be displayed…
Make a note here and there,
      So that one stays aware…
And these failures can be kept at bay…🗒️

  2. Let’s get some tacos this Thursday ! Going into another week of great solves of anagrams and jumble ! However one anagram made me SWEATY ! But the jumble required me and suzie to write down words that came out from the letters ! So we thought MARK , and then WORDS land MY was left and worked ! Nice taco-Tuesday jumble !

  3. Well, as far as we can tell

    Her spelling’s not so swell

    But honest she is

She didn’t prepare for the quiz

But next time she’s sure to excel!

  4. No light bulbs flashed over today’s Jumble. Had to solve the anagrams for the answer, and that went well. Nice attention to detail on the cartoon, Angela. And that little hugging joke was kind of mean, no ?? Like she hugged/embraced her husband/mistakes….just posing the question !!! Enjoy your Taco Tuesday. Terry

      • Yes, it was well meant, kind of kidding joke…that partners engage in…Yep, I got it. BTW, hope you don’t get too snowed in. Stay warm and cozy. Terry

  5. Good morning. Another uplifting day for me. No problem on either the words or cartoon answer. To make things extra special I finally grasped one of Angela’s jokes or puns that she sometimes leaves at the end. This one got a big smile and chuckle. Until tomorrow take care

    • I agree on the joke ! And in my comment I typed tacos on Thursday and not Tuesday ! So I’ll embrace that mistake !

  6. Guess I was in good company with the number of people stumped by sweaty and then the cartoon as well. Not a good start to Shrove Tuesday or Paczki Tuesday. Chuck.
