  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🦘THE AGONY OF DE-FEET🦘

🎶 Well, you can swing it you can groove it…you can really start to move it AT THE HOP…🎶 “At The Hop” – Danny & The Juniors 1957 https://tinyurl.com/ycxz7237

🦘They’re meeting for the TENTH time, you think they would have learned,
That playing ‘gainst the Kangaroos? You’re just gonna get burned…
Each man seems like a tiny PRAWN, with feet that can’t compare,
To paws that leap quite naturally…without the wear and tear…
Sad that the D’s are forced to OPPOSE such amazing strength,
The Roos COMMIT to excellence…no way do they relent
The bottom line, this game we see…it’s an abomination…
    The Roos won’t be de”feet”ed…they bring the “CO-HOP-ERATION”! 🦘

So…With the Roos leading by 36 points, things are looking pretty LOW for the opposition, which was supposed to read Didgeridoos, https://tinyurl.com/ywcdmn2c as in the Australian instrument…but once again auto-“correct” HOPPED on in there and committed another FOUL…Anyway…One would think that common sense would dictate that playing against a group who HOP as a way of life wouldn’t turn out very well…but playing they are, just the same…Only it’s obvious the D’s are running out of WIND..and are living a PIPE dream if they think they have a chance here…Right now, they’re so OUTBACK…and these Roos are no POUCHES…I mean slouches…They’re winning by LEAPS and BOUNDS…And despite all their fancy footwork, the D’s are just gonna have to PAWS and regroup if they intend to BOUNCE back and stay in this game…or they’re definitely going to end up ROOing the day…

And once again, between the dialogue from our announcers, (a Koala and a Platypus)…”ABOVE the rim”…”what TEAMWORK”, the Roo seen HOPPING and going in for the alley-oop with the ball passed from his TEAM mate, plus those “giving-us- a-FREE THROW” quotation marks?….Solving this one was no TALL order…The Kangaroos were winning because of all their…”CO-HOP-ERATION”!https://tinyurl.com/yw3p3hjhttps://tinyurl.com/4f6t4jc8 …Another Jumble SLAM DUNK!

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’ll leave with some Kangaroo humor…A criminal sets up a small souvenir shop in Australia selling glass Kangaroos as a front for his drug smuggling business. One day the detective working the case walks in and says…”Don’t think you’re fooling me…I can see right through your ROOS, mate”…🦘🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🙇🏻‍♂️After he was heard to cal a classmate a PRAWN for the TENTH time, and thinking still that no one would OPPOSE his behavior, he was called into the Dean’s office and told to either COMMIT to the rules with full COOPERATION, or be expelled…🙇🏻‍♂️

🧶They met the TENTH of every month to happily COMMIT,
To doing works of service..they would cook and they would knit…
Sometimes PRAWN was on the menu, or there’d be scarves to be spun,
The choices no one would OPPOSE…and every job was done…
The work they did helped out a lot…worthwhile collaboration…
And the community? Served well…from such COOPERATION…🧶

  3. It’s Friday ! Let’s go to the hop ! 🎵was the best song choice ! Well I’m glad the first four days this week had some comfortable jumbles cause todays was a little off for me ! I had to look up two anagrams , PRAWN and COMMIT ! The jumble was no where near me solving it ! My song was the Kangaroo Blooos ! I’m ready for Saturday ! Everyone have a great Friday !!!!

    • I’m sorry to hear that Terry….but you’ve definitely piqued my interest! 😉 And yes, definitely a great song… 🦘🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Oh, nothing special…knew HOP or HI was in there somewhere…but didn’t get it today. See you tomorrow !!!
Strange that WordPress told me I couldn’t post my note. Tried twice….then just sent that little note. tc

        • It is strange. I’m so curious…There might have been a word in there that triggered the censors…who knows. I get “berated” from them on a daily basis…and they know me!! 😂😂 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning. Flew through the words but slammed into a brick wall with the cartoon answer. I had no clue except HOP so I went straight for the answer. This one in quotation marks was in my opinion tough. You nailed it Angela with your song choice, couldn’t have picked a better one. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  5. I got prawn but had to look up the definition to see if it was a real word. Then too many letters for me to solve the cartoon though hop was an obvious choice for the 3 letter part of the solution.

  6. I played and watched basketball for seventy years and never saw or heard the word cooperation used in that sport. I don’t think this puzzle was fair.

    • I agree with you Ray. I never heard of cooperation when playing basketball. Glad I wasn’t alone in not getting todays cartoon answer.

    • Basketball can serve as a kind of metaphor for ultimate cooperation. It is a sport where success, as symbolized by the championship, requires that the dictates of community prevail over selfish impulses.”
      Bill Bradley

      • Bill Bradley was not a typical basketball player. His intellect was way, way above that for almost all players and fans. I thought that Jumble was supposed to be fun and not intended for guys like him.

  7. Tough one today. No problem with the anagrams but I had to resort to pencil & paper and an intense study of the dialogue in the cartoon but I finally got it. Happy Friday all!

    • I agree. The words were easy, but the answer took some effort. HOP was Ikely the second word, but the other two weren’t obvious. I eventually solved it, though.

      • I really though that the combination of it being about a team, the word TEAMWORK itself leading to collaboration/cooperation , the obvious HOPping that’s associated with Kangaroos on full display in the spot-on cartoon, plus, again, the quotes…would make this a slam dunk…But from the comments I’m seeing it’s not. And to bolster the sentiment, Word Press tracks the number of hits that the page gets each day. With it being just a half hour past noon, my time, we’ve had over 46,700 views…meaning there’s a lot of people out there looking for help…So I guess the numbers don’t lie…and this one does prove to be a stumper! 🙋🏻‍♀️

        • …And just since I’ve written this…we’re circling 49K! I’ll keep you all POSTED! Pun intended! 😂🙋🏻‍♀️

          • Interesting information, Angela. Of course I love it when I solve the puzzle right away but equally enjoy it when I have to ponder it. I’m always up for a challenge and soo stubborn – absolutely hate to look up the answers. It’s fun. Also, I loved Danny & the Juniors “At the Hop”. sounds like we were all hopping this morning.

            • Hi Betty. Thank you, I worry sometimes that I may come off as being cynical…and God knows, that’s the last thing I want to be thought of being. (Well, TBT, I am cynical of some things 😉, but not this) 😂 And I agree, I too love the challenge…it makes it a lot more fun. As for “The Hop”? Luckily my Dad had three copies in the vault, plus an album, because I’ve worn down that first 45 to it’s bare bones! We’ve transferred a lot of them to DVDs, but I still enjoy the “sound” of the original vinyl. And yes, it’s near to impossible not to hop/bop around when listening to it. And now, besides my Dad, since knowing Paul from here, I think of him too whenever one of these type of songs starts playing in my head. He and his sister teaching him how to dance…Definitely a lot of full circle moments from this old Jumble! Enjoy your day, Miss Betty…and here’s to us never ceasing to dance! 🍷💃🏻❤️🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. I’ll leave this here in case the another blogger doesn’t post it.

    To the troll called “Smitty”-

We have lots of Jumble fan sites. David and I like most of them. It’s great to see fans discuss our puzzle. What’s not nice are “fans” like you. I have no idea what your misplaced loyalty is trying to achieve. Stop it! It’s childish and ridiculous. The Jumble fandom has no place for trolls like you.

  9. Shoot! 😉 I got the four clues. I thought the first words might be “on-top.” That left “heroic.” Close, but no score. Anyway, loved the kangaroos, and especially the koala and platypus!
