Good morning. Flew through the words but slammed into a brick wall with the cartoon answer. I had no clue except HOP so I went straight for the answer. I got prawn but had to look up the definition to see if it was a real word. Then too many letters for me to solve the cartoon though hop was an obvious choice for the 3 letter part of the solution.
I played and watched basketball for seventy years and never saw or heard the word cooperation used in that sport. I don’t think this puzzle was fair.
I agree with you Ray. I never heard of cooperation when playing basketball. Glad I wasn’t alone in not getting todays cartoon answer.

Tough one today. No problem with the anagrams but I had to resort to pencil & paper and an intense study of the dialogue in the cartoon but I finally got it. Happy Friday all!
I agree. The words were easy, but the answer took some effort. HOP was Ikely the second word, but the other two weren’t obvious. I eventually solved it, though.
I really though that the combination of it being about a team, the word TEAMWORK itself leading to collaboration/cooperation , the obvious HOPping that’s associated with Kangaroos on full display in the spot-on cartoon, plus, again, the quotes…would make this a slam dunk…But from the comments I’m seeing it’s not. And to bolster the sentiment, Word Press tracks the number of hits that the page gets each day. With it being just a half hour past noon, my time, we’ve had over 46,700 views…meaning there’s a lot of people out there looking for help…So I guess the numbers don’t lie…and this one does prove to be a stumper! 🙋🏻♀️

(Well, TBT, I am cynical of some things 😉, but not this) 😂 And I agree, I too love the challenge…it makes it a lot more fun. As for “The Hop”? Luckily my Dad had three copies in the vault, plus an album, because I’ve worn down that first 45 to it’s bare bones! We’ve transferred a lot of them to DVDs, but I still enjoy the “sound” of the original vinyl. And yes, it’s near to impossible not to hop/bop around when listening to it. And now, besides my Dad, since knowing Paul from here, I think of him too whenever one of these type of songs starts playing in my head. He and his sister teaching him how to dance…Definitely a lot of full circle moments from this old Jumble! Enjoy your day, Miss Betty…and here’s to us never ceasing to dance! 🍷💃🏻❤️🙋🏻♀️
