    • Good Morning, Everyone…👃🏻A NOSE…BY ANY OTHER NAME 👃🏻

      🎶 “Classical Gas” 🎶 – Mason Williams 1968 http://tinyurl.com/57yw5xre

👃🏻Afraid he’ll drop a CANNON ball, Jeff’s hesitant to hear,
Just what David is thinking…so he’s heard to BLURT quite clear,,.
That he’s hoping with a PRIMP or two he’ll put his pen to pad,
      But if it’s something that’s “deadful”… he’ll ignore his dear comrade…
While David’s mind does GOVERN what the theme will be each day,
      Without the cartoon magic…there just isn’t a mainstay…
So with David talking cadaver…Jeff’s dreading his intent…
But David has the last laugh…Dead men? They’re always PUNGENT!👃🏻

So…Mozart? http://tinyurl.com/mvcejpap The COMPOSEr?…After he died?…Uh…deCOMPOSED? http://tinyurl.com/muyp4td5 Yeah, that’ll WORK…,Or one may even go another ROT…Like with…say…a dead Oscar Wilde, or Mark Twain…or Shakespeare even…You know…a PUN GENT…But hey…either way, a dead GENT…is a dead gent…who of course would be “stinky”, as our question states, and PUNny word play,…which the Jumble is known for…is often labeled “stinky”. Plus combined with the fact that the word PUNGENT http://tinyurl.com/549fwt2m means “stinky”? Well, one needn’t be a genius in ODOR to solve this one today…It just REEKS of being a DEAD ringer http://tinyurl.com/yb5jvbhj for an easy, breezy puzzle…So, DECAYs in point here?…deCOMPOSED is as witty as they come…and “stinky” wordplay can sometimes be PUNGENT….But the bottom line? One has to NOSE where they were going with this one…

Jeff’s Gems…David’s Miss Daisy Dog, and Jeff’s Gizmo are always a pleasure to see. And David’s “I ❤️Jumble” mug has become a staple…As has Jeff’s tee….but with a little added twist today… If you look closely at the Poi Dog Pondering http://tinyurl.com/53c35sm4 shirt, you’ll see a tiny 40 written under the name. This year marks the 40th year of its founding. But you gotta love Jeff’s tongue sticking out…giving emphasis to his “Eww”…and to his being so adHEARSE to drawing a decomposed body…And I have to agree with him here. He’s definitely DEAD on http://tinyurl.com/4ujfpf8r

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one.. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And here’s to hoping there isn’t anyBODY offended by today’s light-hearted take on death…and my COFFIN up these puns… There’s no disrespect INTERded…oh, typo…I mean intended…Surely that would be a BURY GRAVE mistake…👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🤦🏻‍♀️ As they began to gather to decide who would GOVERN their CANNON Club, the PUNGENT odor in the air couldn’t be ignored…causing a woman in the group…who was trying to PRIMP her hair…to BLURT out, “There’s no way we can stay in this room”…🤦🏻‍♀️

👃🏻His opinion yes did GOVERN… like a CANNON his voice boomed,
He was hired to PRIMP horses, and for years he kept them groomed…
But visiting the stable, a BLURT heard…with much resent…
“You need to clean these stalls out…’cause the air is way PUNGENT”! 👃🏻

    • 🗣️Coming up with a new pun each day,
Takes a toll I am sure in its way…
      Being witty sans glib,
      It’s akin to ad lib…
But our David is not one to stray…🗣️

🖌️Comes to dialogue Jeff holds the court,
Since it’s mostly his clever retort,
      And the Mozart reference,
      A tinge of “non-reverence”…
      Definitely gave David witty support…🖌️

🔠 They just “scent” this here puzzle today,
Someplace where we don’t usually sway…
      Bringing death to the helm,
Kind of out of the realm…
But it all made for genius wordplay…🔠

👃🏻 So in “odor” to get today’s solve,
And the pun that our puzzle involved…
      Pungent must be a word,
      That you’ve used…or least heard…
And your worry then would be dissolved…👃🏻

      👍🏻Yes, there’s many a PUN GENT we’ve known,
Twain and Shakespeare two who’ve stood alone…
      But today’s witty twist,
There’s no way should be missed…
For it’s worthy of any pun’s groan! 👍🏻

  2. well I was jumping for joy and on cloud nine for getting all the anagrams smoothly ! But when the jumble came , it didn’t come to me ! I thought with only 7 letters that this would be a no-hump Wednesday for sure ! But it became a regular hump-day Wednesday ! I don’t think I’ve ever used the word PUNGENT in conversation or writing it down ever ! Don’t get me wrong , I’ve seen it and heard it used , but I’ll bet you I could count on my fingers how many times I’ve ever used that word ! I’m sorry , I’m just frustrated ! I still and always enjoyed today’s jumble ! It was fun ! So everybody get over the hump-day Wednesday !!!!!!!!!

  3. I was really out of the loop for today’s Jumble and didn’t understand the significance of it all. STINKY has never been one of my favorite words. And no…DEAD MEN would not be a singular PUN-GENT, but rather PUN-GENTS. Solved the anagrams okay, then the puzzle, and then thought…”I would have never blind-solved this in a million years”

Thanks, Angela, for placing so many macabre puns together in today’s post. Terry

    • Hi, Terry…Thank you. As for the solve, your “dead men” is throwing me. The puzzle doesn’t mention “men” anywhere. The word “stinky” (while definitely not a favorite of mine either) is written in quotes in the question, and that’s your key right there. Plus it’s asking what the “Jumble wordplay” is..how it would be described…and something stinky is PUNGENT. So blind solve aside, the letters clearly spell out the word. Give it some more thought, and I’m sure it’ll make sense, And macabre 👏🏻👏🏻 puns..yes…I hope I didn’t overdo it! Have a good one, Terry….hopefully things are warming up! 👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Yes, things are warming up so I took the Ficus outdoors for some sun. (although it’s still cloudy…it’ll get there) Terry

        • Sun? I’d pay good money…We have rain…today, tomorrow, Friday…and probably the weekend….🤦🏻‍♀️ But it still beats more snow! ☔️🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. I miscopied the letters from the anagrams so was lacking the ‘u’ I needed for the cartoon solution. At least our morning temp is above freezing at 34 degrees. Guess our warmup is on its way. Chuck.

    • It’s warmed up here too, Professor. We’re above freezing today! Enjoy the balmy weather! 👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Good morning. Not much hesitation on the words but it took some time to come up with the cartoon answer. Interesting song choice Angela. By the way, you were absolutely correct about yesterdays song. I got them both mixed up. Thank you for setting me straight. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. You’re welcome. Yesterday’s song..it’s understandable, the titles are alike. Today’s? Classical was stuck in my head with the mention of Mozart….and (unfortunately) Gas came to mind with the talk of stinky and a dead man…so… Voila! 😂 And kudos 👏🏻👏🏻! for getting the solve! Take care…👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Clever Jumble this morning. Second one recently that has actually featured Jeff & David in the cartoon. Happy Wednesday all! Stay Warm! Betty
