  1. Happy Wednesday everyone! There’s nothing new to report in the clue word department this morning. Two of the anagrams, GEEMR and SBDIEE, popped up as hot & fresh though. None of them really stumped me, but EFYLER needed an extra look or two before coming into view. Did you notice that three of the anagrams had two E’s? Knowing the double-letter trick of combining similar letters, or splitting up the ones that were already combined, would have proved extremely effective with this particular puzzle.

Our cartoon panel featured a meeting between four lawyers that have seemingly decided to create a new law practice. What lead them to their decision is unclear, but the dialogue does seem to suggest that the services they intend to offer will be somewhat different when compared to other practices. The details within the cartoon are sort of what you’d expect to see in a typical conference room. I counted 37 tomes on the bookshelf, but only 32 had spines that were completely visible. The notepad was surprisingly left blank which ended up being a bit of a tease. My favorite detail was the little palm tree in the corner of the room. I couldn’t get “palm-palm tree” out of my head after noticing the gentleman’s hand in front of it! Jeff left plenty of room for it to grow, so maybe he’ll revisit these folks in a couple of months and we can see how tall it has gotten.

The final solve was an anagram consisting of 13 letters. Five of them were vowels and eight were consonants. The word ‘faith’ in the sentence struck me as odd and I knew it had to be a clue. I easily found BELIEVE after noticing the B and V in the layout, and FIRM was quite visible in the remainder to finish it off. Have a wonderful Wednesday, and keep Jumbling!

  4. Again I got the anagrams and the J solution, although the latter took a while! Oddly GIVEN gave me the hardest time. Bet Angela does a song like I AM A BELIEVER from the Monkees….. I hope Mike does some lawyer facts.
Today was beautiful in SoCal and there is the possibility of reopening indoor dining on a limited
basis. Time will tell. I still think we need masks etc until we reach herd immunity.
The last year was quite odd. I hope we have learned something from it.

  5. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…⚖️ 🙋🏻‍♀️

    🎶 Workin’ hard to get my fill….Everybody wants a thrill…Payin’ anything to roll the dice…Just one more time… Don’t stop BELIEVIN’….Hold on to that feelin’…🎶 “Don’t Stop Believin’” – Journey 1981 https://tinyurl.com/cvfmr442

⚖️ It seemed to them a GIVEN, to MERGE and act as one,
To practice as a team and try more cases be won…
So they decided FREELY to put differences aside,
And set up a new business and new offices with pride
They’re known as true go-getters, word is that they’re high achievers…
And now BESIDE that they’ll be known as being FIRM BELIEVERS! ⚖️

  6. 💽 Being a FIRM BELIEVER in trust, she had FREELY GIVEN him the okay to MERGE his record collection with hers, and they stored them one BESIDE the other…💽

🧵 They had GIVEN him the trophy, and he put it right BESIDE,
His other accolades that he’d received, and all with pride…
He FREELY tooted his own horn, he’d often feel the urge,
To boast of his accomplishments, the vain and ego MERGE
He had his loom and threads intact, the man a master weaver
And opinions never mattered much, to him the FIRM BELIEVER! 🧵

  7. Given the chance, I freely decided to merge the Jumble page beside my morning coffee. Many folks I know are firm believers this is fun. (What’s the difference between a good lawyer and a great lawyer? A good lawyer knows the law. A great lawyer knows the judge. Don’t forget to tip your waiter.)

    • Good Morning, O…It’s fun to practice writing these sentences, isn’t it? And I like how you framed your case here…very appealing…And of courts it suits you. Have a good one. Be well and stay safe…⚖️🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Good morning. My body is up but my mind must still be back in bed because I bombed out on both sides of jumble. There is no reason why I should have had this problem, looking at the finish it was pretty easy. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  9. Here’s a picture of a Northern Cardinal having some breakfast at my feeder this morning. I thought it was particularly interesting because as I was approaching the window with my camera, one bird flew away making for an impressive action shot. Spring is surely on the way!

  10. Good mental workout this morning. The anagrams were solved quickly but had to spend some time on the cartoon answer. I got “ firm” fairly quickly but took me a little longer to get “believers” however I did get it after a while. Wishing all of you a good Wednesday.

  11. Hi all – Got the words ok, then I thought the second answer word might be PARTNERS. Unusually for me, I didn’t have to write the letters; a second look showed that they were talking about a law FIRM and the answer followed.

    Good wishes to everyone.

Great classic 80’s song Angela! I love reading about how it breaks all the rules of song writing, where you don’t hear the chorus until it’s almost over.

Wow Mike, the Granite State strikes again! “Live Free or Die” but hands off the seaweed! 😂

“GIVEN that the on-ramp signals had been hacked, the poor guy who was expecting to FREELY MERGE onto the turnpike was BESIDE himself to see an eighteen-wheeler already in his lane.”

  12. Humbled city boy here. Got the anagrams, but not the solve. Be happy I’m not in law enforcement; I’d never find a crook by his cover. Be careful, stay well.

  13. JUST POSTED TO FACEBOOK…”It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since I started drawing the Jumble cartoons. I’d say a lot in the Jumble world has changed in those years, all for the better. Thank you for playing! I’m so lucky to have a partner like David who loves what he does as much as I love what I do. LAL HET SEBT!- Jeff”

Happy Anniversary, Jeff! Here’s to many more successful years! 🥂🍾
