Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering, ‘It will be happier.’ —Alfred Lord Tennyson
And most people don’t ever keep their New Years resolutions…They usually go in one year and out the other….😉 🙋🏻♀️
😂👍🏻
😂…It’s true..I’ve stopped lying to myself a long time ago! 😂🙋🏻♀️
I never started! 😂 Much less stressful.
I tried when I was younger..until I realized that I was just making way too many pour decisions…😉🥂🙋🏻♀️
Good Morning, Everyone….I hope this finds you well…
🎊 We see three generations, Dad says…”Hurry on the DOUBLE”
There is a New Year to UNMASK…hopefully free of trouble
Grandparents with their pictures, that they’ve taken every year,
When midnight calls for POISE and caution to the wind endear
Champagne glasses not EMPTY…balls’ descent has made its break…
It’s New Years Eve…there’s memories, it’s all for OLD TIMES’ SAKE! 🎊
Wishing Everyone a Happy, Healthy New Year! 🎊🙋🏻♀️
👩🏻🎓 Feeling she had now attained the DOUBLE virtues of POISE and tact, she decided to go to the high school reunion after all, for OLD TIMES SAKE, and UNMASK the true personality she’d kept hidden all those years…and she began to EMPTY her closet looking for the perfect outfit…👩🏻🎓
🥂 Without hardly EMPTY space to stand, the chaos of Times Square,
Just palpitates excitedly, there’s nothing to compare…
There is no rhyme or reason, no POISE is on display,
The DOUBLE thrill of sights and sounds leading to New Years Day…
You’re wearing silly glasses, leave them on or just UNMASK?
You’re freezing and your legs are stiff…you wish you had a flask!
…And looking back, your heartstrings tug…this year it’s hard to take…
Tonight you’re glad there’s pictures…to look at for OLD TIMES SAKE…🥂
Good morning. I ended this year on a high note. Today’s jumble was extremely difficult for me today from the words to the cartoon answer. Unable to get one word at first glance I put the paper aside and came back to it after about twenty minutes. For unknown reasons it was a lot clearer and then got stymied again on the cartoon answer. I wouldn’t give up today and finally saw the solution once I got Old for the first word. I kept seeing Old Lang Syne which is where I came up with the first word. Just want to give a shout out to Mike and Angela for all their great work throughout the year. You guys make everyday start off right. Have a great News Years everyone and with Gods help be back here tomorrow. Be well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Brooklyn… And thank you. That’s very sweet of you to say..and I’m sure you know how much I appreciate you too…But this puzzle? TIMES Square was so prominently featured…The ball, the mention of NYC, etc. And you probably couldn’t see from the RESOLUTION of the pic in the newspaper, but the photo in the album in the Grandmothers hand, from 1998? It shows the Grandparents celebrating in Times Square…You have to study these cartoons!😉 Wishing you and yours a good one, Paul. Be well, be safe and Happy New Year! 🥂🎊🙋🏻♀️
Hi Everyone – my biggest problem was Unmask. I had to get the answer first and then back into it. I second Paul on thanking Mike and Angela, as well as David and Jeff, for brightening our days.
Wishing us all a much better 2021.
Hi Caroline, Good Morning. Thank you, it’s my pleasure. And you’ve brightened up many of my days too! 😘 And I’m with you in definitely wishing for a better year to come…Enjoy the holiday, Caroline, all the best to you and yours. Be well and stay safe. 🎊🥂🙋🏻♀️
Thanks, Angela. I wish you and all the same.
YW, Caroline…And thanks…To you🥂🙋🏻♀️
Hi all – Pretty easy today. I paused at the last word before realizing that the UN trick would work. Then I guessed the answer and then saw from the puzzle that “Times” Square is what made it a pun.
Good wishes and Happy New Year to everyone!
I really enjoy the Fabulous Furry Fun Facts Fiesta, and as far as today’s, I’ll be one of the 12% asleep before midnight, and in reference to the bells in Japan, around here groups of Japanese drummers also perform at the New Year.
I’m having a fun morning doing laundry! 🎉
“He kept both his POISE and the EMPTY bottles as he sprung his trap to UNMASK the crooked bartender selling only a single’s worth of liquor for the price of a DOUBLE.”
Furry? 😂🤷🏻♀️
We’ll see whether Betty gets the reference, having lived in the Bay Area for a long time.
…But what about the rest of us? We just COAST along until you explain it to us?!? 😂🙋🏻♀️
Popular demand? Uh…Are you counting by 10s?? 😂 But maybe it’s the absence of the Freak that threw me off! 😂 It is a stretch…But then again most of this year has been a joke…so…🤷🏻♀️!
Ended the year on a positive note Jumble wise. No problem with the anagrams or the cartoon answer. I too will be part of the 12% who are in bed and asleep before midnight. Wishing all of you a Happy & Healthy New Year. 🎊🎈
…And God knows this is one year we all can’t wait to put to bed! 🤦🏻♀️ A Happy and Healthy to you and yours too, Betty..And a special Thank You to the front line workers in your family. God bless. 🎊🥂🙋🏻♀️
