  1. Not exactly a humdinger, but it was an enjoyable finish nonetheless! I really enjoyed the fact that Jeff had the couple browsing for a doorbell at a small mom & pop shop as opposed to using a big box home improvement retailer. Not only is the merchandise of better quality, but there is always someone available to answer your questions. The same can’t be said for the warehouse stores. It’s like a perpetual game of hide and seek from the moment you enter their doors…..

There weren’t any new clue words to begin the week, but two of the anagrams just happened to be. We’ve definitely seen both NUHDO and PLIME before. None of them stumped me in the least and they were all quite visible upon first glance. Did you notice that all of the solved words were in alphabetical order? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but I always get a kick out of finding it!

The selection of doorbells wasn’t overwhelming, but a couple of the models did look promising. My favorite one had the fleur-de-lis decoration in the middle. Each of the buttons on the wall were unique in that they were either a different shape or color. The salesman, identified as Bob by his nametag, seems to be having a grand old time pressing each one.

The final solve was an anagram consisting of seven letters. Four of them were consonants and three were vowels. I saw the answer straight away and I suspect the majority of you did too. Have a merry Monday and keep Jumbling!

  3. So…Does today’s puzzle answer RING A BELL? Seem familiar, but you can’t PUT YOUR FINGER on it? Well, it may not be a Dead RINGER, but…Today in Jumble Trivia: The puzzle of September 22nd, 2011: The question: “They learned about Big Ben after a passerby did this…” And the solve?…CHIMED IN!

Have a good one..Be well, stay safe and here’s a little BELL humor, as a Shout Out to our Salesman….What’s the horse’s name in the song “Jingle Bells”? Bob..🎶.BELLS on “BOB’S tail RING…🎶 🔔🙋🏻‍♀️

“Ring My Bell” – Anita Ward 1979 https://tinyurl.com/knrz8gz

    • There seems to be a lot of confusion about the horse’s name, Angela. Bells on Bobtail ring as does bells on Bob’s tail ring both make sense. Bells on bobbed tail ring even deserves merit. Capitalization or not would help determine the proper meaning, I think.

    • And I’m sure my grandfather would CHIME IN to point out that Bob was a horse with a buggy behind.

  4. Good morning. Typical Monday jumble. It was easy breezy from the words to the cartoon answer. Perfect answer and perfect song choice. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  5. Definitely a Super easy Monday puzzle ,the anagrams were solved in record time,so it seemed, and the cartoon solution was as fast or even faster.Clearly a Monday!

  6. Happy snappy Monday Jumble for you all…. The hardest thing today was finding where they hid it in my paper. It reached 82 yesterday compelling me to wear sleeveless T shirt, shorts and flip flops. Living in SoCal has some benefits but it also has low humidity and fires.

  7. Mondays impel me to solve the Jumbles and as usual, it was an ease Monday!
4 days to chime in Christmas!

  8. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Already feeling like a MISFIT, he decided that if they’d HOUND him and try to IMPEL him to do the POCKET trick, he’d have to CHIME IN with the reasons for his refusal…🤷🏻‍♂️

🦮 Unsure about adoption, though he loved the little HOUND,
Would they IMPEL him to decide…the people at the pound?
The dog a little MISFIT, with an odd-shaped POCKET nose,
He wished that he was certain…if this dog the one he chose
And then the puppy looked at him…with that lopsided grin…
And he decided time had come for him to def CHIME IN! 🦮

  9. Hi all – Easy Monday puzzle today; got the words, then paused at the answer. I did notice that most of the doorbells had chimes, and when I looked online it seems that they all did, and that combined with a two letter word in the answer showed it.

Big astronomical events today. Not only did Winter begin with the Solstice at 2:02 AM PST this morning, but today is also the “Great Conjunction”, when Jupiter and Saturn are visible close together in the night sky for the first time since 1226, and the next won’t happen again until 2040. I’ve been watching them draw closer together all fall, but I think they’re so low in the sky now that I’ll miss the main event today unless I look online.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“He knew that letting the MISFIT HOUND smell the doggy treat in his POCKET would IMPEL him to behave properly.”
