  1. …And today, in Jumble Trivia…The puzzle of 11/27/2016 asked….”His lack of success dieting and exercising was”… The solve? WEIGHING ON HIM! And the similarity doesn’t end there. The puzzle that day also depicted a husband and wife, he on a bathroom scale, dressed as our guy today, in a tee-shirt and shorts,…and the dialogue went like this…Wife: “Why don’t we go for a walk, and get your mind off this”. Husband: “I keep thinking there’s something more I can do”. Oh, and there was a new word put into play that day too…David introduced HUGGED into the Jumble vernacular. Now how’s that for carrying some weight? 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

    • I’ve got a different puzzle in my Austin paper this morning. The cartoon is of Jeff and his friends listening to Wilco live. The date in the cartoon is 11/12. The “yesterday’s answer” is for a Veterans Day puzzle, but maybe it’s for a previous year, as it’s “When promising to respect our veterans, respect is a WORD OF HONOR”.

      • Hi Mike. How’ve you been? You’re correct…The answer you’re seeing for yesterday’s puzzle is last years. You can use the link below for today’s. As for the one printed in your paper, I’m looking to see when that actually appeared. https://tinyurl.com/y5uuxqq3. I’ll get back to you…🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Mike…I should have realized! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Your paper printed last years puzzle for today. “When his favorite band started their concert, it was….”. Maybe you should email them to let them know….Or tomorrow you’re going to have a rerun of the Gobi Desert! 🐪🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Angela,
Thanks for looking that up. There’s something funny going on with my paper. The crossword isn’t the same as what’s on the LA Times crossword page online. And the KenKen puzzles are wrong too. Maybe the whole comic section is from last year.

      • Mike…You’re very welcome. It probably is last years section entirely. Things happen…🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well….

🙇🏻‍♂️ While no one likes to diet, there are those who do have luck,
While others struggle to lose weight…and then it really sucks…
The alpha and OMEGA…no more carbs, but shredded WHEAT,
The dieting poor MINION…tries not to admit defeat…
But there can be a GLITCH or two, as some of us have seen,
As we try now to get rid of the Quarantine Fifteen…
So to those who are fighting hard…here’s hoping it’s not grim,
Like it is for our guy today…failure WEIGHING ON HIM…🙇🏻‍♂️

  5. 🥗 Divided in choosing a name for their Agricultural Club, the ones who chose OMEGA Vega, and the ones who chose Meet WHEAT couldn’t get past the GLITCH…so they chose a poor MINION to break the tie, and the responsibility of it was WEIGHING ON HIM…🥗

🌾 He knew there’d be a GLITCH or two…he felt a lowly MINION,
They told him not to plant that WHEAT…they all had an opinion,
He sat and took his vitamins, OMEGA-3 his choice,
And tried to quiet what he heard…that constant inner voice…
The green thumb had eluded him…his chances looking slim
The grief is just not worth it…there’s too much WEIGHING ON HIM…🌾

  6. It’s Masters Thursday and I bet we all mastered today’s challenge. GEMAO stumped me so I went with OMAGE which I knew was wrong but worked out to get the right letters in the circles. At least I didn’t get last year’s puzzle.
Consensus in Augusta is Tiger won’t win this time, may not even make the cut. I think it is always better when he is there. I don’t think Bryson will win. I’d like to see Finau or Ricky.
Have fun today and don’t lose your ball in the rough!

  7. Hi all – The answer and OMEGA were the only quick solves for me; the rest took a few jumbles each. I got MINION from the “Despicable Me” movie series; it first made me think of British guitarist Tommy Iommi. Then I saw LIGHT with no place to put the ‘C’.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“A GLITCH in testing done by a lowly MINION in the lab showed OMEGA fatty acids in a WHEAT sample, and the possibly of getting fired for the mistake was WEIGHING ON HIM.” (“Mediocre Minds” on the sense of OMEGA, Angela! 😂)

  8. Like, Mig I first thought of “omage “ but knew that wasn’t correct. Once I figured that out it was smooth sailing. I just love the Minions from “Despicable Me”. I know they’re silly they work for me. Happy Thursday to all.
