FLSH HOE TIR SFEL = SHORT SHELF LIFE
Good Morning, Everyone! 📚 DO IT YOUR SHELF 📚
🎶 Baby, Baby, Baby, I love you, yes I do…Well it says so in this BOOK of love, ours is the one that’s true…(Oh, I wonder, wonder who, mmbadoo-ooh, who, who wrote the BOOK of love)…I wonder who (yeah)…Who wrote the BOOK Of Love 🎶…”Book of Love” – The Monotones 1958
📚 It’s so important that one knows that nailing large or small,
Is nothing to take lightly…if done wrong something will fall.
It must be FLUSH and secured right, and SAFELY in its place,
Too often people rush through it…and this is not a race.
We all have HONEY do lists…and if this job’s one on yours,
Take heed to bolt it properly so there’ll be no discourse…
A TIRADE if something goes wrong is not worth all the strife
A book’s a book, but accidents can cause a SHORT SHELF LIFE…📚
Having once again overBOOKed things, I’m faced with a schedule that’s got me UP AGAINST THE WALL this morning. So there was no time to READ through the Archives looking TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT the HISTORY of today’s words. But I’m just going to mention this. WOOD you believe that TIRADE was last seen just 11 days ago, on 06/16? And if you click on the link and CHECK IT OUT, you’ll see that it’s anagrammed exactly as it appears today. To a “T”!! DARTIE. And I’ll just LEAF that as it is, because I really don’t know what to READ into it…
Today’s puzzle deals with BOOKS, and what a NOVEL idea. I don’t think we’ve had that many puzzles about books, although I do remember one or two in particular about WOOD and WOODWORKING. One was on 03/05/18, and dealt with Sandpaper, and another was on 07/09/18 and was about a muscular handyman putting up a shed. The former came to mind, because FIR some strange RESIN I have a liking FIR Sandpaper, and the latter because..well I also have a liking FIR muscular handymen! Although that guy did SEAM like a real HAM..LET alone a TOOL! But I digress…BOOKS. Since they’re one of my first loves, I got excited when I first SAW our puzzle this morning. EMMA not disappointed at all! Jeff’s giving us a good example of what happens when worrying about pinching a PENNY…DREADFUL, really. We find ourselves in the home of JANE EYRE and DAVID COPPERFIELD, perhaps in MIDDLEMARCH. Someone mentioned that the year might be circa 1984, but upon seeing the Jumble book on the bottom SHELF, I realized that I was ILIAD advised. That particular VOLUME wasn’t even released until 2012. Most likely, Jane and David were sitting reading, and all of a sudden here came THE SOUND AND THE FURY. And they unfortunately discovered that THINGS FALL APART. Especially things that are CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN. They find the SHELVES of their new BOOKCASE broken and fallen…And we hear David saying, “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR”. So, in the case of this BOOKCASE, it had a…SHORT SHELF LIFE. Good one, David! You’ve NAILED IT once again!
Eye candy? The Bookcase is walnut. Three gray books are seen on the floor, one titled JUMBLE, and a single page appears to have become loosened from one of them. A pale blue bud vase lays beside them, holding two daises, and a tawny cat is seen curled around Jane’s ankles. The bottom SHELF, lying askew, holds eight yellow books, with the aforementioned JUMBLE one showing at front. Jane is holding what might be another book, or perhaps it’s the instruction manual for the bookcase. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE, am I right? And David is shown with a hammer, again, BEATING A DEAD HORSE...But today’s winner? If you look real. closely, you can actually READ the four puzzle words on the cover of the “Rock ‘n’ Roll Jumble” Book: Joule, Lolly, Rocket, and Nimble, the caption…”Shake, Rattle, and Roll with These Rockin’ Puzzles”, the question to the puzzle…”Everyone’s going crazy for that…” and it’s answer…ROCK ‘n’ ROLL JUMBLE. Now how’s that for a STORY? I had GREAT EXPECTATIONS, Jeff…and you didn’t let me DOWN! So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone…And a WORD of advice I’d like to HAMMER home…Buy American! 📚🙋🏻
***FYI*** Just a reminder, all the blue shaded wording is a link, and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Jumble puzzle book, along with a host of others can all be purchased through Triumph Books….
