WELCOME BACK,
PUZZLE PLAYERS!
🐝 Bee Prepared
Today’s cartoon brings us onstage at the conclusion of a spelling bee, where the young champion is moments away from officially claiming her victory. As the audience rises to its feet in applause, one judge asks for a final review of her spellings while another informs her that they are having her name engraved on the trophy. Confident she knew every word on the list, the smiling winner patiently waits for the last details to be wrapped up. With everything now behind her, the only thing left is the moment she’s been working toward all along.

🧠 FINAL SOLVE
The final answer was a 10-letter anagram that solved into a single 10-letter layout. It’s always enjoyable when Jumble Jeff revisits the same characters, letting us follow their story a little further. With the final answer being a single word in quotation marks, I knew the clue words would have to do most of the heavy lifting. BRASH, SWIFT, and ADVICE came together without much trouble, while EFFORT was the only one that slowed me down for a moment. With all of them solved, WORDS practically jumped off the page thanks to the uncommon W. Removing those five letters left AFTER, perfectly completing the wordplay and bringing another workweek of Jumbles to a satisfying finish. If today’s puzzle slowed you down, our biggest nudge was the dialogue about checking the contestant’s spelling before presenting her the trophy. The judges were making sure everything was correct AFTER the WORDS had been checked.
