WAIT LISTED
Today’s cartoon drops us onto a quiet little sidewalk where Jumble Bagels has once again drawn a crowd. Nobody seems surprised. The customer at the head of the line casually notes that he sees this scene every single day, and the employee at the door assures him that they’re worth the wait. Out on the pavement, time moves at its own pace as folks shuffle forward and the anticipation rises. When people are willing to wait this long day after day, the reason usually speaks for itself.

🔎 JUMBLE JEFF’S JEMS
➤ SHOP FRONT
The shop is called Jumble Bagels, with a hanging sign mounted on a rod over the front window. A bagel graphic sits in the center, and just below it a banner on the window reads “VOTED BEST BAGELS IN JUMBLETOWN.”
➤ INSIDE THE SHOP
Through the door, an employee in an apron is handing a bag to a customer with his left hand. Behind him, trays of bagels are on display.
➤ THE LINE
Out on the sidewalk, the first customer wears a T-shirt, pants, and sneakers. Behind him, a woman with a small dog on a leash waits patiently. Next is a man in a trucker hat with a goatee, scrolling on his phone. A mom stands with two kids before soccer practice, both looking at a phone. Bringing up the rear once again is America’s favorite wordsmith, David L. Hoyt, making his second straight appearance after yesterday’s cartoon.
FINAL SOLVE
The final answer was an anagram of 11 letters that solved into a single word. Noticing the G out front made it easy to build an ING suffix, which locked in the structure and let the rest of the answer fall neatly into place. If this one gave you pause, our nudges were the dialogue about the bagels being worth the wait and the long line of people quite literally outside standing.
